This is a rebranded location for what used to be Greenfield Coffee. They renamed and rebranded this location. From what I understand (thanks stranger on the street) this is the same management as Greenfield Coffee used to be. (Tart in Northampton is now a Catalpa Coffee too.) Overall it's still good coffee/tea and pastries. It looks like they're not doing as much food as they previously did. (No more grilled cheese sammiches!) But what they do, they do well. The staff is super nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They are very willing to customize to your needs/taste where possible. At present masks are required inside, and there is no indoor dining. They have tables outside.

Always a nice experience! Very good selection of pastries, and a reliably good cup. Service is courteous and welcoming.

The maple cardamom latte was amazing and the egg and cheese on a biscuit was good too.

Comfortable place and good service, but no drip de-caf available. What kind of coffee place is this that doesn't have de-caf available?

I've never been to a place with such a friendly staff and a wide variety of coffee and food before. If I had to pick my favorite thing about this shop, it's the staff. Me and my boyfriend became regulars at this shop, and they always treated us with a big smile, asked how our weeks have been, and just over all seemed to genuinely care about us as customers and people. They would always be so excited to show us the new season menus, as we always tried the whole menu when it came out; they always wanted our opinions on the coffee. I buy my coffee beans from this shop, even still now that I don't live in Massachusetts anymore. If you're looking for a coffee shop in Amherst, this is definitely the best around.

This menu was very varied (there's something for everyone) and it definitely enticed me to go back for more! The breakfast sandwich I got was the Chipotle breakfast sandwich (forgot the exact name) and it was very tasty and filling. The price point is definitely a bit high so be prepared to spend if you're coming with multiple people, but I do appreciate the variety of coffees and teas available. The servers and baristas were very sweet and helpful when guiding me during my first visit there. If you're looking for a quiet coffee shop to get some work done, this is definitely worth a try. I didn't get to try any of the pastries but I will definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu! 4 stars just because of the high price point, but the quality of the items is very good.

Recently been dealing with a lot so when I knew I'd have a few hours to myself; I went out for a run and came here afterwards. I just sat outside with my coffee, it was nice and quiet, nobody bothered me. The interesting thing about this place is that it's more than just coffee, they have other little kiosks. Some sell food, some sell homemade goods like candles, lotions etc. It really is a place I'll come to again, and again.

The coffee was good but not much better than what I can make at home which was not what I was expecting for a coffee roaster. I also tried their RED ROOIBOS TEA. It reminds me of a very strong hibiscus. Too floral for me. I do love their environmentally friendly to go cups. The shop is very unique. Very much a gypsy vibe. Like a fusion of an abstract art exhibit meets a hippy college dorm room, meets a cafeteria, meets a bazaar. It is collaborated with a few businesses ("The Urban Food Brood"-"Corsello Butchery"- "Happy Man"-Forest Doe Botanicals"-"Nosh Restaurant & Cafe"). A very supportive community. The seating is very cozy but awkward. Great place to meet up with friends or make new friend. They also have cold brewed canned coffee with unique flavors as well. All in all. Not too shabby my friends.

I told the person who helped me at 1A just that, thereby establishing the stakes at the outset. He didn't seem too worried. I quickly saw why. 1A has the best coffee I've had in Southern VT. And it's not even close. I'm a black iced coffee drinker. I prefer iced coffee (brewed hot and chilled) to cold brew (steeped at room temp or colder for a while) for technical reasons, but many places only offer cold brew these days. 1A offered both. Bonus point. The cold coffee was already stored in jars in a small fridge. I forget the price, but it seemed fair. The iced coffee was very good. Smooth. Very drinkable. No aftertaste. I've had the sense that the taste of other Southern VT Coffee spots is perhaps affected my mineral rich water. I did not have that sense at 1A. A couple of other selling points for 1A. 1A roasts their own beans. That always demonstrates a commitment to the craft for me. They're the only area place I've noticed that roasts their beans. In addition, in the best possible way, the person who helped me was a coffee nerd. I am too. He wants to try as many lattes in as many states as he can. He had a map showing all of his visits. I finally feel like I found a place in Southern VT that really cares about the craft of coffee. It's my new spot when I visit from CT.
