We were on vacation staying in Arlington, and decided to give Willoughby's a try. I'm so glad we did! The lady at the counter was very sweet to us, (two different ladies on two different visits actually). The first time we ordered two egg and cheese sandwiches. Mine was on a bagel, and literally it was the best bagel (also i have lived in NYC for years so I know a good bagel). It was so super soft on the inside and the outside was perfect. I highly recommend. We also had two maple donuts which were also so good and very filled with filling, It was so good we decided to go back the next day and eat breakfast there. Again I had the amazing bagel breakfast sandwich and we shared a ginormous cinnamon roll that was super tasty. It's small and cute and had great food. The pricing was great too. We came by early afternoon and the nice lady at the counter asked my kids what was their favorite flavor. I struggle with my rating but wanted to keep it honest. First let me start with the donuts. We had a red raspberry filled and a blueberry. Both delish. We also had egg sandwiches. Here's where the issues came. Friend #1 sandwich came not on the croissant she ordered. Friend #2 sandwich was missing the potato patty. And mine came on an English muffin rather than toast. I was visiting Manchester for the day and we drove past this store and I had to double back to try it. I love donuts and everything I've eaten in Manchester thus far was amazing, so I had no doubt this spot would be good. When you enter you're met with a display of a gorgeous array of donuts that are nice in size. I was surprised to find out they're all like $2 and some change (I'm coming from a city where donuts typically go for about $5+ and they're much smaller). The donuts were nice and soft and not overly sweet at all which were right up our alley. They also have other baked goods like cinnamon rolls (which were massive), muffins, and pies. We initially were only going to order half a dozen donuts but somehow we ended up ordering 12...no regrets though. The staff was so sweet and inviting, we didn't mind buying more. They also have sandwiches, and we ordered a couple of those, they were super tasty and very fresh. The only thing is that there were quite a few bees by the window inside the shop, making them quite close to the donuts and other baked goods. Even though they were chilling, bees still scare me so I kept my distance. All in all next time I'm in Manchester I would absolutely visit here again, and recommend anyone else to do the same! read more

5 stars for their friendliness and stellar service. The great donuts also help too. My family was dropping in after seeing their sign and each of us were choosing a donut. My youngest didn't want to pick one cuz she noticed there was no strawberry donut on display. The kind worker (who I think was one of the owners) asked if she could make a donut for her- what would it be? My kid immediately brightened and said strawberry please. She went in the back and made a giant donut filled with strawberry jam and topped with strawberry whipped cream. She really went above and beyond to make our day. My kid gobbled up the donut so I'm assuming it was delicious. If you are in the area please stop by. It's a cute old school donut shop. read more

The best donuts I've ever had! The maple cream (like a Boston Crème but with maple frosting) was an incredible donut - sweet, fluffy and delicious. To reiterate, BEST donuts I've had. Came to Stratton and had to visit Willoughby's again. Brought a dozen back for my family as well. Will always visit when in Manchester. Got to sit at the counter and talk with the staff. They're extremely friendly. When we were there a guy came in who was a regular for 22 years. I can see why! Our favorite donuts so far are the honeydew, old-fashioned and cinnamon raised. I prefer the yeasty donuts that are not as sweet. My boyfriend prefers the cake-style donuts. Both are delicious and have a great texture. Think a little bit of crunch with a fluffy interior. It's everything you'd want in a donut. Willoughby's makes it hard to eat donuts from other places. I just stumbled into this adorable shop/breakfast counter style place bc I had to use the laundromat next door. Oh boy can I recommend it- homemade deciduous donuts of amazing variety smell amazing and I bought a dozen to bring back to my family at the hotel. They were warm and fresh and FANTASTIC! As I was choosing flavors I saw that it's also a cute breakfast place and a hidden gem. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in Manchester! We visited around lunchtime on June 6, 2023. The donuts are out of this world so was our sandwich and soup. As far as customer service goes, I have to give it a failing grade. The young, tall, brunette woman working behind the counter was horribly rude and should not be in a position to interact with customers. First problem was that I forgot to order the soup with our sandwich and when I asked to order it, she had an attitude and rolled her eyes at me. I asked if there was a problem and she told me that they were very busy in the kitchen. So how does that apply to me forgetting to order the soup? Once we got our food, I requested a knife and that was a lot of effort. When we opened the bag to eat our donuts, I found that she had tossed the icing topped donut face down in the bag so all the icing was on the bottom of the bag. All the other young women working that day were friendly and pleasant. All I can say, enter at your own risk. read more

Best donuts I have EVER had! We live in Toronto and gourmet donuts are everywhere - and these are better than any of them. These are the exact same donuts that Mrs Murphy's had (the prior name). Same recipes and method. The only thing that has changed is the name of the shop and they have added more donut flavors! They also have other menu items including some delicious breakfast items! The honey dew donut, cinnamon sugar donut, maple frosted (with custard inside!) and the plain donuts were perfection!!! We can't wait to try more! Maybe the cookies and cream is next!?
