Been coming to Dr. Sam for several years. I have had several fillings and crowns. The service and…read morecare is wonderful. The staff is wonderful. The dental hygenist is wonderful. She keeps giving me good advice on brushing and flossing. I try sometimes, but I am not very good at caring for my teeth and I suffer decay. I am trying harder lately. At least when I fail Dr. Sam fixes the problems I create and my teeth are fine again. My wife also is treated by Dr Sam. She is happy with the care. And she is as bad as I am at brushing and flossing. I checked the NH Board of Dentistry. The only problem they had was for moderate sedation and that is fixed. I have no idea what that is.

I am absolutely appalled at the treatment I just received. When I realized I missed an appointment, I called right away. I explained my extenuating circumstance to an AI receptionist. I also thought the fee was $50, but I was being billed for $100. The AI receptionist apologized for my situation, told me she hopes it gets better, and said someone would contact me regarding the fee. When a human returned my call, she had less empathy than the AI 'person' did. She told me that she received my message (which explained why I missed the appointment), and that I owed $100, not $50 (regardless of the form I signed stating otherwise). I told her that I would pay the $100 and find a new dentist. And I hung up. It's a shame. I liked working with Dr Sam and Kirstie. But I cannot in good faith continue to work with a front office who won't even consider my extraordinary situation, let alone one who further takes advantage by charging me double what they should have. The document I signed on 4/22/24 clearly states, 'I understand that if I do not show up for my visit, if I am more than 15 minutes late, or if I cancel without at least 48 hours notice, a $50 missed appointment fee will be assessed to my account and deducted from my reservation deposit.' I also acknowledged that I was entitled to 'considerate, courteous, and respectful treatment.' Thanks for kicking me while I was down. Enjoy your $100.

I was patient of Dr. Chagnon's for several years. At first I thought he was good, and then through…read morethe years I was seeing noticing his quality of work was not what it used to be. For the past 2 years I have had to go in for what should be routine work done. It turned into several visits trying to fix what he did wrong. He seems to take short cuts, and although he "talks ALOT" he doesn't communicate what he is doing or listen to what your expectations are. On 2-3 occasions he started to work on the wrong teeth!!! I'm not sure if this is due to him being a quack of dentist or he is just too old to be in this profession. Regardless, his lack of professional that he exhibited upon my last visit was appalling and absolutely not acceptable. I had small chip in my front top tooth, that had previously been fixed, and came off. I made the appointment expecting to have it be re-filled, when he started grinding my right incisor! I then directed him to my front tooth. He started grinding that one too, I thought ok, maybe he needs to "grit it up" to apply the fill. That was not the case. I finally asked him if he was going to fill it, and he lost it. He said No! I told him that I had it filled previously and he said no it wasn't! (I can 100% tell you that it was...) I stood up and looked in the mirror and said, its uneven. Dr. Chagnon got very upset and starting yelling at me it wasn't, and had his finger pointed about 4-5 inches in my face! After telling him to get his finger out of my face, I was so taken back I didn't know what to do but just leave, and that's what I did.. pink spit bib and all! Shame on me for staying a patient as long as I did. I will admit is was never due to quality of work, it was out of loyalty and convenience. Don't make the same mistake I did. DO NOT GO TO DR CHAGNON DDS, BEDFORD NH!!!

Two days before my appointment I replied "sure" to a text and didn't realize I had changed my time that conflicted with my also pre-scheduled VA appointment. When I contacted them to cancel my appointment they said they would charge me $75 for a late cancellation. I had to cancel my needed VA appointment as I can't afford this unnecessary fee due to their inability to maintain their scheduled appointments.

My wife went in there for a routine cleaning earlier this winter. They did not give her the cleaning and said she needed to get a root canal and sent her to a root canal specialist. We went to the root canal specialist they sent us to the root canal specialist said she does not need a root canal and that she needs to be seen by a periodontist. We made an appointment with them at the main doctor's office to see their periodontist. When my wife arrived the periodontist saw her and said that she should have had a cleaning 3 months ago when she was originally scheduled and proceeded to question her about why she didn't have a cleaning. The Perry odontist then told her that she needed to go have a root canal. My wife told her that it was the dentist in that office. Her partner who had said she couldn't have a cleaning until she had seen a root canal specialist. The periodontist did not communicate with the other dentist in the office nor did they read the records sent over from the root canal specialist saying that she needed to see a periodontist. When we made these statements to the office manager she got incredibly frustrated and rude with us. My wife got me on the phone and I explained the situation once again and asked why there wasn't any communication between the dentist, the periodontist, and the root canal specialist before the appointment and why they were questioning why my wife hadn't had her teeth cleaned and trying to send her back to the root canal specialist. To put it mildly. This whole situation was incredibly frustrating and we were traded quite rudely. We proceeded to make an appointment with them to get my my wife's procedure done with the periodontist. They said they needed to run the insurance and we said okay to them to that. But we wanted an estimate without insurance because we were sure our after reading our insurance the insurance would not cover special procedure by the periodontist. We followed up when we hadn't heard back what the insurance had said we also once again stated that the insurance we had reviewed on our plan would not cover this and we would like a estimate. They said they would have us one in another week. They hadn't heard back from the insurance and we said we'd like to cancel the appointment unless we get an estimate before the procedure. They said they would follow up with the insurance and they said they would get us an estimate. My wife called back on the day they said they would have the estimate the following Tuesday. But they told her that she needed to contact insurance at that point to get pre-approval. When they already said they were doing it 3 weeks earlier. To say the least, this place is poorly run. The office manager does not do her job. There is no communication with dentists inside the office nor is there communication and coordination of care with outside offices even if they have referred you to them and then sent your records back to them after they ran the procedures that they were asked to. If this isn't the only option for you and your network, don't go there because the quality of care from the dentist is terrible. The teeth cleaning is fine. They did a great job. The technicians are good but beyond that I would say this practice is poorly run since it has been transferred over to the new ownership and if there was a way to give it zero Stars I would. We have never seen such horrible care from any sort of medical practice. We were already unimpressed after the practice was transferred over to new ownership over a year ago with the minimal amount of time the dentist would see you during an appointment. It was not impressive and it was already on our list of things to find a new provider and this horrible care sealed the deal
