Dismayed, I quickly sped over to Ace Hardware Oakley for some toggle screws, disheveled, drywall dust in my hair. I entered through the front doors feeling a little low. Then suddenly, help appeared! Benji not only kindly advised me on my options, he threaded the toggles into the wall mount plate for me in-store, complete with washers, so they were ready to go! I really appreciated this. Human kindness goes a long way these days. And often times it's the littlest of things that gets you over that hump so you can finish your project. I'm convinced that by day Benji is providing stellar customer service at Ace Hardware Oakley, but by night...he possibly uses his superhuman handyman skills to fight crime. (And sidebar- who knew Ace Hardware carries such a fashionable line of sunglasses and the most hilarious line of cards and sarcasm gifts. I'll be checking out their garden section on my next visit.) After a stressful commute home I wondered in to a relaxing setting as soon as I walked in. I went to the garden area, they had exactly what I needed, & more! It was the perfect stop, along the way home, full of plants, garden decor and even a birthday card, at the perfect price! Jim at the register was unbelievably helpful and funny, he was great to interact with. I am happy I was able to visit local businesses and get what I needed and more!

But I am definitely not an expert on wood pieces lol! However, the staff was wonderful and really helpful! It is good they know what they are doing when it comes to measurements and advice what to do with any problems. Victor was friendly and wonderful in our initial asking to pre-order. Then John was absolutely a mathematical genius ( since it was obvious that this wasn't my best subject lol!) as he helped us figure out what we needed to order based on our measurements and checking that we had everything down. He was great and friendly and the BEST! He must have worked in the industry as a builder or contractor bc he knows what is needed in a project, answered my multitude of questions! Big B really has an asset in him working there. Unlike the big box stores, often you have to try to locate someone to help you and often you get that is not my department! So you are in good hands at Big B. And I notice many well known contractors and fencing companies buying from here. This is an ACE store and also makes keys. The only con in this store is it feels dusty and dirty. My skin just breaks into a rash bc I feel the dust and the shopping carts are filthy with layers of dust. Maybe bc they are a lumber yard and cut the wood there so it goes everywhere. They could wash the cart more often. Most people there are construction type of guys, and I didn't see any female customers come to think of it?! So men probably don't care bc they work with this on a daily basis. So the staff and lumber get 5 stars. Tip #1 you can get some cut pieces of leftover wood for free in the back. Tip #2- you bring your measurements and pictures of what you want or your project and they figure out how many you need. If I relied on my own math, we would have been in trouble! So John will help you figure out how much you need as I am sure the others working the desk can do the same thing so rely on them. Tip #3 - they are good about returns. And delivery was free for me which made it so much easier. Thank you, Big B! So 5 stars for service and lumber. One star deducted for dusty/dirty feeling of floor, shopping carts and merchandise.

My family and I had a very good experience here at the Home Depot on the Antioch/ Brentwood border…read moretoday. The Customer Service was stellar! Ruby, Eric and Ali were rock stars. They were attentive, present asked if we needed help, walked us to the aisle of the item we were searching for, and knew exactly where everything was. At the checkout Ali noticed that the wooden beams we had chosen were extremely expensive. He checked in with us to make sure they were the ones we wanted. In doing so, we had discovered we chose the wrong beams and had no idea we would've paid so much money! We probably would've figured it out eventually but Ali saved us so much time and money! He actually cared and provided that human touch. He didn't have to do that. Also, when we were walking in, my mom uses the motorized scooter and there was a man coming out that greeted her so cheerfully and made her laugh. There was also another gentleman inside the store that when my mom's motorized scooter got caught on one of the corners when she was making a turn, he stopped to assess the situation and helped us get her scooter free. Again he didn't have to do that. It's nice to know that people still look out for you and smile in your community. Don't count this Home Depot out -- the current staff and clientele still have some good apples! Thanks Home Depot!

She went above and beyond with customer service. She asked how my day was and gave us a water bottle and a cute little bag with candy canes and an air freshener shaped like a tool. I thought that was such a rare gesture of kindness. Then, tonight my mom went on a run to Home Depot for me. It was about 5 minutes until closing when she arrived. We had to have something cut and their saw was down so Jeremiah kindly hand sawed it for us. It took time of course so by the time he was done the registers were already closed. Manager Evan so kindly opened up the registers for my mom so she could check out. The value of customer satisfaction with product and service is something you don't always come by. I'm grateful to have this encounter and would recommend this location to anyone. Thank you Brentwood Home Depot team!

Sadly I recently stopped ordering his dog food and switched to another retailer. After several not so good delivery issues with a contractor I could not take any more chances of running out of food. Orders sat in "Ready for Delivery" mode and when they did get picked up went missing requiring I ask for a refund or I had to be home to walk the person into building. Perhaps I will come back when these issues are resolved. I started using Tractor Supply in 2017 and was very happy until recently. I do recommend them especially if one of the major carriers delivers.

We've spent over an hour on hold with Customer Solutions on multiple days and got nowhere. When we called the store, they blamed the delivery company, even though the bag was clearly taped shut before it was sent out. We were told we have to bring it back ourselves, despite living over an hour away and choosing delivery for that reason. No refund, no replacement, and no accountability.

ICON and to some lesser extent Pittsburgh Pro have some quality in them. Sucks though they dropped Earthquake series of tools in favor of Bauer. Thinking Earthquake is their top-tier, I bought their 3/8 impact only to find out a few years their dropping and introduced Bauer.

But over the last decade or two it's amazing the progress they've made with their power equipment. Their Hercules stuff is basically Bosch. Their prices are amazing. I had about 80 grand worth a healthy Demo hammers and jackhammer stolen between 4000 and $6000 apiece. I was able to replace them all with the Hercules series of Demo hammers and jackhammers for about 1/8 the price. But that's not why I'm leaving this review. The review is for the fact, I just watched a customer that was by anyone standards " a complete piece of crap of a human human being". He treated the harbor freight employee. I wish I knew his name or remembered it but very tall guy. I believe he was the manager. He maintained his composure and even tried to kill him with kindness outcome across condescending, but truly trying to calm the guy down and apologize. The customer should be ashamed of himself in the employee Harbor freight should be rewarded. Most harbor freight employees have always been very nice, helpful, and patient, even when people are not deserving of it. Today that employee that was in the store should be in the same conversation as Mother Teresa.

The paint service was amazing and we got a great color match to redo our walls, as well as some great tips on paint to use inside.
