It came time to finally paint the walls of my house and the interior designer recommended 4 different colors. Two of the colors were from Sherwin Williams and the other two were from Benjamin Moore. I picked up samples from both of those companies and while I was at it I stopped by Dunn Edwards, per my painter's recommendation, to see if they could color match the Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore colors. When I arrived at the store, I instantly noticed how clean and well organized everything was. Prime parking was super easy to get too because the store is in a great spot of the plaza where there is hardly any traffic. The first employee to greet me was Dylan. He was super friendly and patient (also genuinely kind to my two toddler sons) and he was able to successfully match all of the colors I requested and so I ended up doing the entire interior of the house using Dunn Edwards paint, not even bothering with Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore. I came out a lot cheaper and the paint looked just as good when matched up side by side on my "sample wall". I feel it's also important to mention that I read a previous review about an employee being very rude and I'm sure that was not Dylan or the other guy whose name I unfortunately didn't get (he was a very tall, young guy braids) as he was great too. He took a lot of extra time to show us different swatches and explain the different types of paint. Obviously shopping for paint isn't going to be a super fun experience. I mean there's even that sarcastic saying that goes something like, "This is about as fun as watching paint dry..." But, all shopping experiences should be pleasant and you should feel that the employees care about your satisfaction. Therefore, I would highly recommend anybody who is looking to purchase paint to stop by this store. If possible, ask for Dylan because he provided me with a great experience and I'm sure he will do the same for you. read more

I came in to discuss color options with their colorist. She was extremely knowledgeable, patient and pleasant to work with. I then ordered some sample cans of various colors to do a mock up which were completed very quickly. read more

The quality of customer service at this store is horrible! The first time I went in to recycle paint the employee was very rude and walked away from me when I needed help. Came in on a second occasion for paint samples. No one greeted me offered to help or anything... the store was empty I was in there for about 10 Min and nothing! The employee was just texting on his phone the entire time. On another note my painters purchased tape and it left residue all over my windows interior and exterior. Horrible quality for the price. Very disappointed in this stores employees and their products! read more

Great service and very helpful staff. I needed a gallon of paint color match and they did it quickly and came out perfect.

Called ahead regarding paint recycling, told they would take cans with paint. I opened my cans to check & off I went. Person behind counter was watching something on the phone, waited for that to finish. They did not want to take my paint, did not help in getting out of back of car & then refused a can they deemed too light, based on watching me take it out of the car, they never touched the can. One cans lid was loose - they refused it, too. Claimed to have no hammer to close lid with... If they don't want to recycle paint, they should not offer the service. read more

Great store and great location. I read the complaint review below. I go to dunn edwards everywhere in California. Not all are always cheery and greet you with a smile but they are very knowledgeable and the quality of paint is tremendous. In regards to the residue on the windiws from the tape your painter used the wrong tape. There are specific tapes for different surfaces. If i could leave zero stars i would... months back i was painting my ceilings with their "sparta wall interior flat paint" i ran out and wanted to get more and they were sold out so this employee told me, hey here buy this instead it's the same stuff... "versa wall interior exterior latex flat enamel" me being the trusting individual i am i said ok, and since i needed it to finish my home project. me being the trusting individual i am i though it would be fine, after painting i realized it wasn't... there was a sheen... i wanted flat, so why tell me it's the same stuff and lie to me? since i bought 5 gallons on this stuff i figured i'll just use it up on my ceilings which i did until i ran out and needed just a little more to finish. this is why i am writing this review now... i'm not one to complain but i ended up going there to get a couple more gallons of the "versa wall interior exterior latex flat enamel" i showed the guy the picture of what i needed and when i got home i saw they gave me 2 gallons of "versa wall interior exterior latex velvet enamel"..... not the same stuff, so i returned it next day which is today... and this is why i will never return to this store specifically nor any, i'll spend my money where the people that work there don't lie to me. i proceeded to return my 2 gallons mentioned above as it was the wrong sheen... the guy looked at me as if i was an idiot, i showed him the photo i took of the stuff i ran out of and another guy brought me a gallon of the stuff i was in need of, me being screwed over twice now i look at the label and it says "versa wall interior exterior acrylic flat enamel" i tell them this is not the right stuff, he tells me it is, tells me the label was changed... it wasn't, the item number and wording is completely different... i end up arguing with him as his arrogant and incompetent fellow employees all decide to chime in and tell me i'm wrong and it's the same stuff. i tell them no and they are pissing me off at this point. one guy telling me the velvet sheen i had originally is the same as the flat? and something about it's tintable that's the only difference... when i never mentioned anything about tintable paint. i want a flat enamel plain white ceiling paint and these idiots all cannot get it right, and also arguing with me, tensions rising and feeling the others getting upset with me i decide to return it all and get my money back and never return to this location or any for that matter. the same guy telling me the label was different was the same guy telling me months ago that the flat enamel was the same as the flat white paint... so done being lied to, and sold crap i do not want or need! waste of my time mainly, never go to this store. they lie to you and argue with you and the customer is not always right, what ever happened to good customer service, and how does a picture lie? "versa wall interior exterior latex flat enamel" is not the same as "versa wall interior exterior latex velvet or acrylic flat enamel".... labels changed lies, same stuff lies... lies on top of lies, seriously screw you guys and your paint company, i'll be going anywhere else to get my paint from now on, piles of shit that work there that argue with you when you even present a picture! and liars... which i just hate even more. different sheens are different, that's a fact! and if i want flat latex enamel paint i don't want to be sold flat acrylic latex, it is not the same thing! i think a 5 year old could do a better job matching the picture for the customer than these fools, all of them too, it's the whole store that's full of shit. read more

The customer service is fantastic at this location!!!!We have used Dunn Edwards paint for each room in our house and were regular customers at the Temecula location which is closer. I did not know this location existed until I had a customer service issue with new staff at the Temecula location yesterday, which then had me searching for another location. I contacted this store and spoke to Mike. He listened to my issue that I had at the other store and was extremely gracious. He helped me with my situation, asked me about the paint color and kind of paint, told me to come in and he would take care of it. I walked into the store and the gentlemen who was upfront was friendly as well. I told him that I spoke to mike on the phone and that I needed to purchase some paint. Mike already had the paint made ready on the counter for me to pick up so I didn't have to wait! I paid for the paint and I was out the door in a few minutes, start to finish! What amazing customer service!!! I now have a new favorite location and they have earned our business. Also it is a very nice, clean store as well. This is definitely the location you want to use if you have questions or need help with anything. read more
