Sometimes these types of places that service professionals can be intimidating to a DIYer, but this was not the case here. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming and treated me with respect. Nicolas was very patient with me while I tried to find my perfect colors. He steered me to the right product for the job from primer to paint. He also showed me how to properly hold a brush when cutting in. This made such a huge difference in my current project and I'm never going back. Saves me so much time. I'm forever grateful. The paint itself has been great - colors are vibrant, paint silky and covers nicely. I'm a strong believer in three coats, but honestly it covers really well, you could probably get away with two, if you're careful with your application. It's not cheap, but I think fair for a quality product I can use and not worry about any issues during application and down the line. The smell is very mild and dissipates quickly. I definitely will continue using this store for all my paint needs.

I had photos of the old, brittle, partially covered labels from the last time the house was painted. I needed new paint to cover a replacement porch railing. There was a wait but three different people cheerfully let me know that they'd be with me in as soon as possible. They seemed genuinely friendly, it was so nice! Sahil is the name on the receipt. He was able to pull up the order from almost 15 years ago, found a replacement for one of the colors that is no longer available, confirmed the application, and when I asked about caulking, he asked relevant questions about the application and directed me towards... not the most expensive one but the one I needed. He even found a box for the two gallons of paint. Thank you! I don't know how Sherwin-Willams treats their employees but have found that it's usually reflected in the way that employees treat the customers. So, thank you to the Sherwin Williams and the Bascom Avenue store.

I have called them 5 times and they refuse to even come to my house and look at the problem. Lance told me it is my problem, not his! He said my wood is defective!? And he told me that and he has never even come back to look at the problem. He just refuses to come back and even look at it. I paid them $8500 to paint the house and once the check cleared they were gone for good. Terrible. Beware. 3/2/26 - I just read Lance's response to my review. He says the pictures I posted were from before he painted. Not true. I just posted an additional picture showing today's date from time.gov and you can see the quality of work I have on my house today. The fact is that Lance has never come to my house to see the quality of work his people did on my house. So, he has assumed I posted old pictures.
