Sometimes these types of places that service professionals can be intimidating to a DIYer, but this was not the case here. Everyone I interacted with was welcoming and treated me with respect. Nicolas was very patient with me while I tried to find my perfect colors. He steered me to the right product for the job from primer to paint. He also showed me how to properly hold a brush when cutting in. This made such a huge difference in my current project and I'm never going back. Saves me so much time. I'm forever grateful. The paint itself has been great - colors are vibrant, paint silky and covers nicely. I'm a strong believer in three coats, but honestly it covers really well, you could probably get away with two, if you're careful with your application. It's not cheap, but I think fair for a quality product I can use and not worry about any issues during application and down the line. The smell is very mild and dissipates quickly. I definitely will continue using this store for all my paint needs.

They said if I took it to Home Depot or other big box store, they would just run it through the computer, mix the paint and give me the result. But with Kelly Moore, they do that same computer process, but then they spend time with the paint, and apply it to different surfaces and tweak the color if necessary until they are confident they are giving you as close a match as possible. This process took an extra day or two, but was worth it in the end to get a great match. They def go the extra mile. TY.

I specifically came for some zinnia flower seeds, and they had a great selection of Renee's Garden seeds. I picked up 5 packets and then headed out into the garden section to see what else might pique my interest. I saw some colorful plastic and durable pots in various sizes. I couldn't figure out the gallon sizes of the pots even when looking at the price labels. Instead of gallon sizes, it gave inch measurements. Oh well, I guess I'll have to eyeball it. At the register I reminded the cashier about my senior discount, and he asked for my phone number. None of the numbers worked (even though they have in the past), so we resorted to using my husband's number. The store was festively decorated for Christmas, and I might come back for some cute lawn decorations, when they are discounted after the holidays! They've really honored the tradition of the former Orchard Supply Hardware. I try to make this my first stop when looking for hardware items and avoid the big box stores. (At least as my first stop, more on that..) The challenge I have is that about a third of the time, I won't find what I'm looking for here and have to look elsewhere anyway. I love, though, how there are knowledgeable people working here who are genuinely interested in and available to help me. Their stores are a nice, manageable size (I don't feel like I need a roadmap to get around them, like the big box guys.) Plus there are often liquidation deals and sales that make things enticing. This was perfect for me as I've been wanting to purchase a specific plant for a friend and hoped it would be available during this fall season. Found the plant and took it to the nursery register. I was warmly and genuinely greeted by Jackie, who showed me the prettiest orange poinsettia plant! I wasn't in the market for it, but now I wanted it! However, my main purpose was to buy the Tecoma bush at 50% off. I showed Jackie my phone with the email ad. Since there was no barcode scan on the email, she had to try another way to mark my purchase at 50% off. Finally, she had to ask a manager, who tried to say that not all Ace Hardware stores might be participating in this promotion... My husband explained that S. King Rd. location was printed on the email... Then the manager okayed the discount... I was surprised that they were unaware about the Black Friday promotion, but happily I eventually left satisfied.
