HORRIBLE service! The two times I've come here this person (lady) behind the counter wants to not, underline the word NOT, help you. I dropped off a sample on Friday and came back Monday. No one called me to let me know the paint was ready. I asked her when it was ready, and she snaps "I don't know I wasn't here". I immediately remembered her from my last visit where she had to fully disclose they will paint match but it's not guaranteed. Why doesn't she just say it out loud, "HOW CAN I NOT HELP YOU"? Then she looks up my account by name. As we're standing there for a good solid minute I say, can you put this on my account. She says "I need your ID" sure but why don't you ask for it instead of just standing there, breathing, and existing. Then she sarcastically says, "HAVE A NICE DAY". Your life must be sad to be that angry at strangers. Good lord lady- get a job somewhere else if you don't want to help anyone at Kelly Moore. I don't normally post agro reviews but you're attitude is horrible on the two visits to this KM store. read more

My personal opinion is that all paint brands make similar paint, but what separates one company from another is the CUSTOMER SERVICE. I recently had a horrific experience with one of their competitors "S****W" and was forced to explore other paint brands. I felt the big box stores lacked the personal service of the stand alone paint stores. After my in store experience, i must say the staff went above and beyond to satisfy my needs. Their amiable yet honest opinion of my color choices was welcomed. Their knowledge of the product was outstanding and their professionalism was second to none. I've been re-doing my living room and I needed feedback regarding what type of paint to use and the color that would fit what color scheme we were lookin for. I initially called with some questions and Destiny answered the phone. She was very professional and knowledgeable about different paints and the type I may be interested in. She let me know that if I came in she could give some more recommendations and color chips based on what me and my husband were looking for. Fast forward, I ended up coming to the store with my husband and asked for Destiny. she was extremely helpful! I didn't know there was so much to know about paint and she was very informative about the different color schemes. Even though they were short staffed and busy she took the time to address my needs and make sure we were satisfied with our experience at Kelly-Moore. I've been here several times to buy paint accessories like rollers, brushes and caulking. When Orchard Supply told me that they couldn't shake up big bucket of primer since I didn't buy it from them (I bought it at Home Depot), the guys at Kelly Moore had no problem doing so. It just so happens that they are much closer to my place as well. Nickolus Wells and Kelly (Yup, his name is really Kelly but no relation to the founder) are super attentive and help me out to my car carrying everything even though I'm capable of doing it myself. There was even one point when Nickolus offered me some free coffee. Because of this kind of service, I'm happy to come back. read more

I found this store to be neat and well organized. There is plenty of parking in the front lot and a small lot at the back of the store. There was a bit of a wait, but customer service was good. I would have liked a little more assistance when selecting colors, but the sales associate was courteous and even helped carry the paint to my car. Went to this store for paint for my front door called Seattle Red exterior in satin finish one qt. I was told they didn't carry Satin finish, referred to Blossom Hill store. I drove there and they didn't have satin finish in a qt size only in gallon size($40). So I had to purchase semi- gloss @ ($20) in quart size. Why didn't they tell me this in the E.Capitol Expy store? At this price for a quart of paint they have rec'd my last purchase!! CalifLady 75 read more

I recently moved and needed to do a few upgrades to my new home, fresh paint being one of them. After visiting Lowes and being disappointed with their paint section, I thought I'd check out Kelly-Moore given the previous occupants left Kelly-Moore paint cans behind. Kelly-Moore exceeded my expectations. First, I thought they would be more expensive than the large box store but it is not true. Rollers, brushes, spackling paste, TSP, and other accessories are actually more affordable, and KM has more selection! Paint prices are comparable to box stores. Second, and more importantly, KM's customer service is second to none. They were fairly busy on a Wednesday afternoon, but they took the time to explain to me the difference in sheens, paint, brush and roller quality, interior vs cabinet vs exterior paint, and even popular colors without upselling me. Third, Costco.com sells discounted gift cards to KM. Shout out to Juan who helped me load my car. read more

I went into OSH tonightsee if they could duplicate my house paint. OSH sent me over to Kelly-Moore Paints. I was greeted by two works tonight Kelly and (Mike?), and they were able to take what was left in my 8 year old paint can, and rejuvenate it so I didn't have to buy new paint. I hope the owner or investor of this store franchise on Capitol Expressway read this message. Your staff at this store location customer service is really bad, I mean really bad. Got to the store at around 10:40am this morning and just need to order one gallon of match paint for a drywall. I was told by the counter service staff that he is the only one there so I have to wait for 2 hours. And the process of mixing the right color paint is very difficult and is a long process. There is only 3 customers (including me) at the time when I was at the store. So I agreed to drop off a sample of dry wall and return in two hours to pick up the paint. Came at back at 1pm and a different staff was serviced at the counter and look into my order and said that my paint has not been match and mix yet. Said that it is a long process and matching the color is not easy. I have to wait for a few more hours or he will call me when it is ready. Not even smiling. I went to Orchard across the street. They get it done in 10 minutes. Does your store need a scientist to match the paint? The bad thing is your staff does not even care a customer walk out of your store for this reason.
