It was a very special trip for us today to get that particular can of paint because a few years ago my sister was deathly ill and has had to take the room downstairs till she got better and finally now is able to go back upstairs to her own room to her favorite paint color so as any time would be your kindness would be appreciated but especially this trip it's a special time for her! I had photos of the old, brittle, partially covered labels from the last time the house was painted. I needed new paint to cover a replacement porch railing. There was a wait but three different people cheerfully let me know that they'd be with me in as soon as possible. They seemed genuinely friendly, it was so nice! Sahil is the name on the receipt. He was able to pull up the order from almost 15 years ago, found a replacement for one of the colors that is no longer available, confirmed the application, and when I asked about caulking, he asked relevant questions about the application and directed me towards... not the most expensive one but the one I needed. He even found a box for the two gallons of paint. Thank you! I don't know how Sherwin-Willams treats their employees but have found that it's usually reflected in the way that employees treat the customers. So, thank you to the Sherwin Williams and the Bascom Avenue store.

And the small paint samples were less expensive than at another Benjamin Moore location ( and much smaller and cheaper than what was available at Sherwin Williams!). I brought in my door trim for them to match the paint, and they immediately told me they couldn't do it because there was shimmer in the finish. I explained that I didn't need the shimmer -- I just needed the closest base color. Then they said no one (the color technician) could work on it until Monday. But if you're not the color technician, how can you confidently tell me what can or cannot It's clear they don't want to help and don't care whether someone is a repeat customer or not. I drove all the way from Los Altos to Cupertino for this, and honestly, it was a complete waste of time, unwillingness to help & give me this "I don't care" doing business with a repeat customer made this a very disappointing visit.

Not only…read moreare they knowledgeable and give good advice, they did a great job with a paint color match situation. I needed to match a color and brought them a chip from the wall. They said if I took it to Home Depot or other big box store, they would just run it through the computer, mix the paint and give me the result. But with Kelly Moore, they do that same computer process, but then they spend time with the paint, and apply it to different surfaces and tweak the color if necessary until they are confident they are giving you as close a match as possible. This process took an extra day or two, but was worth it in the end to get a great match. They def go the extra mile. TY.
