One of the most unprofessional and unfriendly Dunn Edward's I've ever been to. As a landlord, I frequently use Dunn Edward's for all my painting needs. On this particular day, this location was the closest, so I decided to pay them a visit with a return of an unused 5 gallon stocked Swiss Coffee bucket. One of the first off putting experiences is I walked in and asked for assistance with the heavy 5 gallon bucket and they said they could do that. I asked for a dolly and she said they couldn't offer me one. She then asked me to drive to the side of the building and walk the bucket inside my self as that would make it easy for them. Not one employee helped me. At this point I was ready to lose it but kept my composure in order to facilitate the return. During the return, this process was a nightmare on its own. After all that, they didn't want to do the return on a stocked unused paint. Needless to say, they finally agreed but notated my account. Do yourself a favor and shop someplace else. This location doesn't reserve anyone's business. I hope they close and every single one of these people gets fired. read more

I was in the store before 5pm looking at some samples before purchase and I walked outside to see them in the light and when I turned around they closed the store and locked me out. I also waited a very long time for any help and the help I got was marginal at best. So I went over to and spent my $1000 at Sherman Williams today for 20 gallons of paint. Everyone in store was very friendly and pleasant. I was acknowledged and offered help right away. I pulled several swatch samples and a brochure. I was offered consultation services and put in contact with a Color Advisor - Vanessa Luevanos. Vanessa was professional, knowledgeable and extremely patient with me. She took the time to understand my space and overall look I was aiming for. I took home 4 beautiful color samples each one was a hit. In the store, associates Mary and Rocio helped me so much...Much more than I could have expected, Mary helped me with choices, paint grade decisions and helped me get the best price possible for my 5 gallon purchase selection. I was so happy with my selection, cost saving, value and advice Mary offered!! As Mary prepared the paint, I spoke with Rocio. She was so friendly and helpful. She asked if I had a Dunn-Edwards account. I explained that I was a homeowner and really hadn't taken the time to register with Dunn-Edwards. She quickly offered advice and asked about my address and the community where I live. She provided me with a new account to use for the next purchase I make at the store. Rocio was accommodating, friendly, helpful and professional. Now I have a new association with Dunn-Edwards because of Mary and Rocio!! I left the store very satisfied and grateful for all the help and assistance I received, Another associate even wheeled the 5-gallon paint bucket out and placed it in my car!! WOW!! The associates I met with today exceeded all my expectations today. I left thanking them for all they had done for me!! I would like make a special round of applause to Jane A. (Aka Karen) for her lively review. First of all, your systematic racism is showing, so please, especially during this time, please clean that up. Second, your sexist remarks are widely heard, and unfortunately will likely be ignored. I don't think you understand what happens in the back of the store... do they mix the paint in front of you? OH MY GOSH THEY DONT? I wonder where they do it? Weird stuff, amirite? Gossip, clearly is the only thing that goes on in the back of the store, I'm sure it's not full of paint or mixing tools or anything. Also, I'm sure that Jose was just providing excellent customer service to his "compadre" as you say. Today I had to buy a quart of paint at the Stevenson Ranch store. They were only taking 4 customers at a time so did have to wait about 10 minutes (not a lot of time). Mary and Vanessa were the only people manning the front desk. Mary helped me. What a great job she did. I was able to get my paint within 10 minutes after ordering and she even brought it out to my car. I do have to say that these two ladies were working extremely hard helping counter customers and answering phone calls. They were very calm and pleasant to everyone. Kudos to a job well done under very stressful circumstances. read more

This is my third time in 8 months going into the Stevenson Ranch location. All three times I have walked in with zero help from anyone. The female employees are too busy gossiping in the back room of the store to even bother to attend to customers in front. Each time I have had to yell out loud for a "worker" to do his or her job. Yesterday I walked in, was the fourth person waiting in line to get help. The male employee at the cash register was more interested in talking to his "Compadre" about their social schedules, and he didn't even bother to acknowledge me or the other patrons in line.....social distancing, of course. The female employees in the back peaked out and saw us, but did nothing. They went back to their gossip festival. After waiting in line for 10 minutes, I left. Also the two gentlemen in front of me left, and we all headed to Sherwin Williams where the nicest young man greeted All of us. I did eventually head to Home Depot to get my paint -- a job done within 10 minutes. SW could not color match my item. Needless to say I will NEVER go back to this Dunn Edwards location again. Their customer NO service, lack of professionalism, and wait times is unacceptable, especially for the professional painters who need to get to their jobs, work, and get paid. read more

Recently I frequented the Dunn Edwards store on the Old Road in Valencia. Actually I was there on two consecutive weekends. Jose Macias was the gentleman who assisted me on both occasions. What a pleasure it was to be helped by him. He was very friendly and kind but more importantly he was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions with an expertise that only comes with years of experience. Great guy. She knows her colors so well and has such a keen eye that she has laid in front of you almost immediately. I was so happy and excited because the colors were perfect. She made my whole day delightful. And to top it all off, Vanessa is so sweet and kind. Vanessa is a gem! My contractor used Dunn Edwards because he had a discount with them. I went back to get some touch up paint. As usual long waits even when not busy. There never seems to be more than one befuddled employee at the desk at a time. They don't keep records on their contractors very well. Anyway, I went in for a color (Foggy Day) so as to touch up/not re-paint the walls. The guy even repeated the color name yet he made Muslin (the color at the bottom on the swatch! It didn't occur to me to double check the receipt as even Home Depot or Lowe's has never gotten the color wrong. I went to use it and thought "why is this so dark?", then realized he made the wrong color. Now I have to drive 25 miles and I doubt they'll give me what I should have gotten gratis even if I bring back the paint. Update: I went back and they gave me a replacement in the color I had originally asked for. I really was fretting that they would give me a hard time but didn't. Still, on a day where the temperature was 106 degrees, I shouldn't have had to make another trip to town. read more

Like many during this pandemic that had to stay home I decided to paint my house (something Iv been wanted to do ) but I had no idea what colors would go best . I came into the store and a wonderful lady named Vanessa help me out straight away helping me pick some very nice complementary colors. First off, the paint is great quality, but the older guy in a tie is not nice. I didn't know about the difference between suprema and the other stuff, and he made me want to just turn around and buy the cheap stuff. I ordered a gallon of suprema and when I went to pay for it, he whispered in the cashier's ear "53." So sure enough, the cashier tells me 53.00 dollars. I was like whooooa. Pretty steep for paint. So I don't know if he plays w the prices or what but it didn't look like it was a standard price across the board. I know there is discounts for account holders, but the whisper in the cashier's ear 53 tells me something was up. Also, there's a AAA discount they don't tell you about which could have been helpful after the 3 times I went here and paid over 100 for paint. The first trip there, I had no knowledge about the different quantities and sizes of paint. i explained the size of my bathroom i was painting to the employee cashier. The young female cashier recommended 3 quarts which I purchased. I later come to find out when I needed a little more paint that 1 gallon is the same price as 3 quarts and that I should've just purchased that. I went in to the Dunn Edwards store in Stevenson Ranch to purchase a sample paint. There was only one employee at the register helping a customer while on the phone trying to help someone else. There were several customers waiting to be helped. You could see there were other employees in the back, yet no one came to help the employee at the register. A customer that was standing in line called the store directly and demanded that a manager come to the front to help the employee out. A manager finally came out & with no apology or thank you for waiting she proceeded to ask who was next. I was on my lunch break & couldn't wait any longer. I had just wasted my entire lunch without getting what i needed. I took the color information & will be going to Home Depot to get the color matched. It was my first time at Dunn Edwards and my last. Needed 5 gallons of paint and they had me in & out in under 20 minutes. Since I bought the last bucket of paint at another supplier, they had to find the equivalent color but it was fast. They also have paint recycling programs so get in touch with them if you want to clear out your garage or shed. Don't throw it in the trash or down the drain, call Dunn Edwards. read more

Great experience in this store, went in on a Saturday afternoon and they had me going right away, only waited a few minutes for them to mix my paint in the back. Also it seems like their prices for painting supplies like rollers and poles are almost the same as at the big box stores which might save a trip or two sometimes. Their paint is the very best, went on smooth as silk and the hiding is amazing, allowing you to use less coats saving you time- no wonder contractors swear by this stuff! Their paint is more expensive than big box store paint but I believe I can really tell it has premo ingredients that really make it worth it saving you time at least and money maybe if it covers in less coats and is durable lasting for more years. read more

Wow, brought in a 13 year old can of dried up paint they don't even offer anymore. Mixed and matched in less than 10 minutes. One coat coverage and dried to a perfect match on the wall. Dunn-Edwards rocks!!!!! Well worth the cost. Great costumer service at this location. read more

This is a nice, big, clean paint store located near Wal Mart. Parks Nh is no problem in this shopping center. They have lots of paint, of course... and I've used their paints on the past... they were quite expensive, but we received an employee discount from a co worker and it really saved us cost wise. Their paint quality is very good, but a little runnier than the ones I'm buying now at the big box stores at about 2/3'rds the price. They also sell brushes, rollers, tools, tarps, outfits, ladders, etc. I think you can find more variety and items at the big box stores than this place. Not too impressed with their color swatches on the back wall. Only one sales lady and one cashier working in the store up front. read more

Great team !! I buy a lot of paint and went in this store to get a color match that I've been having troubles with at other paint stores. I showed my mismatched to a very helpful and informative gal named Rocio Sanchez. She said it would be no problem so I bought some misc Supplys and ordered the paint. I went to my car to make a phone call and came back in and the tinted guy in the back I think his name was Micheal was all ready finished with the color match and it was perfect I couldn't even see at all we're her put the new color on my sample it completely disappeared and for me that is very important. Absolutely dismal customer service. While I'm generally more understanding of rough / busy days, the way in which the manager, Kim (not sure of spelling), handled himself today in store is abysmal. There were only two customer facing staff, both of which were busy helping other customers (who needed extra help, it seems, explaining or selecting color). When I arrived there was another customer waiting and someone else came in behind me. The first person ahead of me left, so she must have been there a while. The guy behind me left. I would have left given the crazy amount of time to wait, except I'm on a deadline and couldn't. Another woman walked in and then another. The two staff people were overwhelmed and frustrated while at minimum 4 other people in the offices / back were walking and talking. Finally someone else came out to assist, apparently manager Kim. The woman that came in LAST immediately starts going on and on about a product she didn't like. There is no line or numbering system, so it's apparently whomever is the loudest gets served first. He was unhelpful and listened to her tirade and didn't seem to offer an solutions or just quiet her. Finally one of the staff was able to help me while she was wrapping up the other customer's order. The staff are overwhelmed and apparently customer service across all fronts wasn't important to the manager. If your employees are in the weeds, perhaps it best to dig in and help vs. stare like a deer in the headlights. I'd suggest a sign in chart, a numbering system, a designated line (vinyl prints are easy these days to stick on the floor) in order to achieve a modicum of order and helpfulness. These are trying times, but there are many other options to go to. Quality of product might not outweigh difficulty in working with this group in this case. read more

I found the staff extremely helpful. Vanessa the color consultant was able to assist me with selecting the perfect color for my home. I ordered several gallons of paint and supplies and all the items were ready for my painting contractor to pick up in the early morning. When I found myself needing additional paint, I called the store in advance and placed an order with Rocio (mgr) and the paint was ready in less than hour. The people working here know there paints and colors. The are very educated on color schemes, blends, techniques, finishes and impressions. I was very impressed with the knowledge, service and patience that they offer. They were able to match a color from a different store and even adjust the color an additional 50% darker or lighter. Trust me, we went back and forth until satisified with the color of our choosing. The paint quality is also one of the best. I highly recommend Dunn Edwards as well as the Valencia store. read more
