This place gets you in and out quick! Perfect for a quick coffee to grab in the morning. They had some very tasty looking pastries too! I got a caramel latte with oat milk and the coffee was great, but it was definitely sweet so maybe ask for half syrup if you don't love super sweet coffee. The ladies working there were very nice and made my coffee quickly. Nice spot!

Stopped by for a quick coffee - they are pretty fast if you're on the move. The shop is a little small but if you're just in and out it's fine. I got an iced coffee with caramel and it was good, but was a little sweeter than I would've liked. I would definitely go back and try a regular iced coffee for the speed and service.

A worker owned collective with just pure good vibes. Greet you as you walk in, quick service and the food is so yummy. I had an apple turnover and a mocha both were great. They know their regulars by name and I can tell they enjoy coming in.

With a cold wind blowing outside, I ducked in to grab a hot coffee. It's the space where Firehook was. I used to frequent Firehook as a younger woman. I thought maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me as many of the staff seemed to be the same, only older (as I am too). Could this be?! I was correct: DCC is co-founded by Jessica Reyes and Rakesh Verma, both former, longtime Firehook employees. I chatted with Jessica for just a bit; found out that Firehook operated here for 32 years and DCC has recently launched. It's still the same bustling spot it always has been and gets a ton of foot traffic, but they do a good job of filling orders quickly. The location, near Dupont Circle metro stop, couldn't be more convenient. I enjoyed my cafe au lait made with French roast, a bold, chocolatey brew from Swing's. Swing's is a wise choice for a brand; a coffee roaster that's been around a long time. Also tried a lemon bar and found it to be delectable. I appreciate how the heritage of the Art Deco building has been respected, with a noticeable upgrade inside, fresh paint and new branding. Welcome to the neighborhood--and bravo to the employees, who are now owners, for keeping it going.

Very solid iced americano. It was smooth and didn't make me jittery There was also a cute print on the wall :)

Quite small interior so be prepared to jostle past people. The coffee was good though, the prices are reasonable for the area, and it's a lovely employee owned store so I'll definitely be back.

Did not really enjoy this place much. It was my first time here. I was excited to try a new coffee place. I did not have any pastries or food here just an iced latte that did nit taste good at all. I had maybe 3 sips and just had to throw it out.

A coffee shop for the Dupont Circle community, this employee-owned cafe is very close to the Dupont Circle Metro Station. Walk inside and you'll find eager staff that craft coffee drinks with speed. With a full coffee menu, I ordered a latte. Candidly, it wasn't as creamy or smooth as I prefer, but a little simple syrup from the condiment area helped make it more refreshing. They sell a variety of pastries. The chocolate glazed donut was small and a little dry, but not horrible. There are areas to sit and enjoy a coffee. A few seats have outlets nearby. If you need to use the restroom, ask for the key. After unlocking two doors, you'll find the door to the small, unisex bathroom.

Got a latte and it tasted good--they use Swing's Coffee from Virginia, which I appreciated. Space is limited and it gets very busy. I went at 4 PM on a weekday and there was no seating available, so it's definitely more of a grab-and-go spot. Reasonably priced compared to other coffee shops in the area. A solid choice if you're nearby and looking for quality coffee.

This cafe reminds me of New York City. It is busy, small, and loud. It definitely isn't a sit down type of place to do any work but maybe meet someone for a drink and take it "to go". Iced Coffee and a hot Latte was $6. The Iced Coffee is on the stronger side and is "bold". Reminds me of an Ethiopian type Coffee Bean. Be ready to order quick, pay, grab, and go.

Fast, friendly and delicious. My large cup of brewed coffee was great--smooth and well balanced. And it was a fraction of the prevailing cost in DC and much more enjoyable than the coffee at those chains. Careful, though, it comes out blistering hot. The sausage, egg, and cheese croissant came out looking less than perfect but looks are not the optimal way to judge food. The croissant was lightly toasted, the eggs were perfectly cooked, soft and lush, and the sausage patty was lean and tasty. It was quite good. The almond croissant is great and is covered in sliced almonds and powdered sugar. The chocolate doughnut was above average. Overall a great choice across from the Dupont Circle Metro stop.

They were playing bossa and jazz. I opted for the Aren latte and Indonesian beef rissole. There was a delicious coffee taste not overshadowed but rather enhanced by the smoky sweet taste of the Aren. I'll be thinking about this latte for a while. Indonesian beef rissole: 3/5 Batter-like skin rolled in breadcrumbs filled with savory ground halal beef & sautéed vegetables While I've never had this dish before, I googled pictures of what it should look like, and mine seemed to have significantly less meat than it should've. The taste was still delicious and seasoned and hearty, but it was mostly mush with some veggies and hardly any beef. While I thought the rissole was disappointing, I love the aren latte so much I'll still keep the 5 star review.
