After working with your company and in light of recent events, I can no longer recommend Dura to family and friends. When we purchased our home in 2022, we hired Dura to install laminate flooring, investing over $30,000. Unfortunately, in less than two years, the boards began warping and cracking. Following an inspection process lasting over three months, we were informed that the flooring batch installed in our home was faulty, exceeding the acceptable tolerance for bending. Initially, we planned to address only the damaged planks in the kitchen. However, Vanessa strongly urged us to replace all the planks, explaining that the manufacturer would not cover any future issues if the entire flooring wasn't replaced. While we understood the reasoning, we felt pressured to agree to replacing the entire floor, even though our primary concern was isolated to the kitchen. Vanessa mentioned there might be some additional costs once the problematic area was inspected, but we were never provided with a worst-case scenario estimate, despite the company having our square footage. Instead of assessing the kitchen area first, we discovered that half the flooring in our house had already been ripped out before we were informed about the need for a moisture barrier coating--an additional cost of $6,000 (discounted from $9,000). Later, the company offered to further reduce the cost to $4,500. However, this situation remains deeply frustrating because we were initially reassured that the plank replacement would incur no cost, given the defect. That reassurance was a key reason we agreed to replace the entire floor. To compound the issue, Vanessa made inappropriate comments to my husband, suggesting that if we didn't pay for the moisture barrier, we "wouldn't be protecting our family." This guilt-tripping approach was not only unprofessional but entirely unnecessary. The removal of the defective planks has rendered our home unlivable, forcing us to take a week off work, significantly impacting our income. This entire ordeal could have been avoided if proper steps had been taken during the original installation, including the application of a moisture barrier. read more

Dura Flooring did an excellent job for me. We had engineered hardwood in one room and hallway leading to 3 rooms where we wanted to remove carpeting and install engineered hardwood. I visited many stores to try to match existing wood from 10 years ago with no luck. Vanessa at Dura Flooring was able to get me a sample from one of her vendors shipped to me. In 2016 i needed to replace the carpet on my landing and stairs. Dura floors came through and did an exceptional job. Flash forward 2021 I needed to have laminate flooring (Dinning /living room). Dura has done excellent professional work in my CA home, NY home and 2 offices (Whittier and West Covina). Given my past experiences with this company, I felt confident choosing them again to install floors in my entire house (4,000 sq ft]. The team diligently worked to meet my specific requests. The floor installers even came on 4th of July and Sunday to make sure the job was done on a tight schedule. They not only removed the old carpet, carefully moved and placed heavy furniture but also completed this huge project in less than a week. My floors look amazing. We needed a very large area rug (about 10 x 22) and Dura Flooring had been recommended to us. It was certainly easy to get to even though we don't live anywhere near the place. Every member of the bi-lingual staff, including owner Trini Alday, was pleasant, patient, and very helpful. Claudia, the go-to person for almost every question we had, was fun and knowledgeable. And the fact that they do the binding right on site, sped up the process for us. I was looking for a nice carpet for my condo when I came across Dura Flooring. I scheduled a estimate and asked for the sales person to bring mid to high quality carpets. The estimator arrived on time and brought the right samples. He measured my room and living room, and even explained to me where the seams will go. I was happy with that, not only did he know where to place the seam but he also saved me some money by figuring out how to use the overage. The installers even cleaned up after they finished laying the carpet. I would refer Dura to all my friends and family! read more

We needed to replace industrial carpet in one room. We ended up having to reject the carpet we ordered 3 times due to manufacturer's defects. Dura was patient and helpful through a long, drawn out process of getting carpet. We had to change colors, but we upgraded to a different manufacture and no extra cost (to compensate us for the 2.5 months it took to be able to finish the job).
