I've had several contractors in my home for different stuff as a first time homeowner, but I can definitely vouch for Oscar and his team. Oscar has proven to me that yes, you can get quality, speed AND affordability in this economy. Absolutely insane. I found SPOC on Yelp when a certain Home Improvement store dropped the ball after pulling up old carpet and flooring and said we had uneven areas on original hardwood floors but they don't fix those and we'd have to get a contractor. After researching on Yelp I found SPOC. Oscar came over and assessed the situation and determined those were easy fixes. His demeanor and personality along with his professionalism sold us right away. He gave us an estimate on the spot. He advised they could start on Friday. We did have 2 other estimates and still went with SPOC. Once approved they were able to start Thursday and be done by Saturday. Jose the installer and Oscar showed up around 8:45 and walked through everything with us. Jose started and got done with everything by mid day Saturday. He was such a perfectionist and pleasant every step of the way. Oscar noticed that the order we had received from home improvement store only had baseboards for living and dining area and 1/4 rounds for everything else. We discussed and he went to his supplier and got baseboards for the rest of the house including all closets. The completed price was less than original installation from other place AND made all repairs needed. I would 100% recommend this company for your flooring needs. Called SPOC on a Monday morning and after a quick chat he requested pictures which i text to him. I just needed a repair/stretch of carpet in a hallway, closet and one room. No furniture to move on a generally new carpet only 4 yrs old. I asked if it was something he could help with, he seemed eager saying "yes, that's very much doable." I asked when he could come, nothing. Gave it two days figured maybe work is busy, maybe someone is sick as i was flexible and understanding. I inquired again and just never heard back from him. I have gotten a few quotes for LVPs to change out wood flooring that has been damaged by an unknown water leak. The other quotes I got were not straightforward, use this not include that etc. Oscar's quote was a good price which included everything so I can go on cruise control and still have my say. He even gave me a discount. I thought with the price included he would give me cheap planks and few choices to choose from, but he actually gave me good quality planks and I found a pattern I really liked. Armando and another Armando were clean and did a good job epoxy sealing the entire floor, and silicone sealing around the area of the leak. I asked them to stay only in the work area with no bathroom access due to my immuno compromised 89 yr old mom, and they did. The vinyl turned out really nice! Good job! The padding under the carpet in our room was ruined due to a major leak above our room from the roof. They responded within two hours of me messaging them on yelp, came out and did an estimate. The estimate was more than fair. They had to lift the entire carpet up take all the padding out then replace the padding put the carpet down and re-stretch it They they were very punctual and did quick an amazing work... very easy to work with. I had asked them if I should air out the room before they put the new padding down they said yes and came back two days later to put the new padding in the carpet back in place.
