(received charge backs from both from my Bank). Both UBC and Erick's took my $600 deposit (UBC) and 3K+ (Erik's).... yet neither merchant had the Specialized Roubaix SL8 I ordered and paid for in their inventory. After calls and calls to follow up on the status, both UBC and Erik's dodged/deflected/gaslit me. Why? I have inroads with the FTC. My theory is that both Erik's and UBC potentially used my payment (amongst other consumers) as interest free loans to boost/float their short-term capital/liquidity to pay off their creditors b/c of their razor thin margins. This is illegal per FTC's rules and regs. This made me sick to my stomach. Good news: Hit the batch - secured my Roubaix, it's now in my hands. THANK YOU MACK. I was able to secure the new teamdream and cannondale caad14 in a size 56 from Mack's cycle shop in Miami. Darien was a super sweetheart on the phone so no love lost there, so I put down my deposit and was called this morning to let me know the bike is no longer going to be sold, but rather it's going to be used as part of a fundraiser for "Best Buddies." Additionally, it's now listed as DOUBLE the price on their website. So it's really nuts to think that anyone in their good mind would pay $5k for an aluminum frameset. I think donating the proceeds is all good and well, but it really left a bad taste in my mouth to work with an authorized dealer who sold me a VERY limited product, only to take it back the next day. I've called all the shops listed for this bike around the country after that and they are sold out. I'm truly stunned by this behavior and I hope that whatever good intention y'all had is met with karma on your end.

First let me say that their website is very helpful, as they keep full stock and prices up to date, so it was easy to see what they had in store with real prices. When I got back into town, I advised him that I would drop by the next day to test ride a specific model. I showed up to the shop the next day and Mario was there. First let me say that this is an impressive shop - fully, fully stocked, well organized and a variety of bikes from low-end to super high-end. The selection is really excellent. Need a bottle cage? They have about 50 different types of them. If you're an obsessive cyclist, this place has a ton of bike porn. The repair shop area was huge and looks very well maintained. Mario helped me out with the test ride and I decided that I would go ahead and buy the bike. I told him that I was gong to swap out the white bar tape to make it all black, as well as the saddle - I had actually purchased new tape and had a decent black saddle back at home. He offered to swap these for me free of charge. I waited a bit while they taped the bars, installed the saddle and checked the bike out. Twenty minutes later, I left the store with my new Trek Emonda - a great bike at an amazing price. The other thing I'll note is that there was no shady salesmanship going on here. He knew I was there with a bigish budget and could have easily tried to squeeze a few hundred more dollars out of me by trying to sell me stuff I didn't need. The overall buying experience was excellent and the price was the best that I found anywhere in the area. i would highly recommend stopping by City Bikes whether you're buying a water bottle or a $5K performance road bike.

I was just very disappointed to find out that one of technicians discarded all of the parts from my bike with out my consent, not everything was damaged and could of been used for decoration if I feel like it. After all I paid for that very expensive wheel. Demetri asked me if I wanted my parts, and wheel I said yes, but when he asked around it turned out it was discarded as trash and that was that. Right now I have mixed feelings about the shop for that reason this has always been my go to shop. And theses are not cheap bicycles or components to just trash like that.

When he called me to let me know the bikes were ready he said one bike was $75 and the other was $30. However, when I went to pick them up I was charged an additional service and wash $40 for one of the bicycles that wasn't mentioned ahead of time. The employee had even told me ahead of time that if it was more than $100 to just get a new bike. I would have preferred they were more transparent with the cost, as I asked several times. I thought the first employee was extremely nice and helpful, I wish I could recommend the place but I'm feeling a little off put by hidden costs.
