This place has always been a reliable store for all sorts of sporting & outdoor goods. I've been visiting this location for the better part of 15 years & have nothing but good things to say. The store's larger size helps them stock it with a great variety. There's also always a handful of employees on the floor who are willing to help out. As far as quality goes, they carry a nice assortment of well known brands for most of their products. Along with the pricier, high quality things, they also offer budget friendly options, as well. Whether it's been fishing gear, kayak accessories, clothes or cleats I've gotten some great things that have lasted me for years. You can find great deals through the app & at this location depending when you look. I've found things like Nike shorts for more than half off & I recently gotten a fishing kayak at a significant discount because Quest has a sale. I also ended up getting a $15 discount (that wasn't advertised) on a life vest when I scanned my app at the checkout. You can also get oversized products shipped to the store for pick up so you don't have to pay oversized shipping fees. It's ideal having this location so close by to my house because it's just a fun place to walk around. They're one of those stores that I know I'll always be leaving with at least a lure or pack of baits. I came in here looking for a new outfit when I walk in my neighborhood. This store has a lot to choose from. Their displays were neat. I saw an employee straightening out several tables to keep it that way. I tried on a few tops and liked one light sweater. One brand they carry called Casillon (or something like that) is versatile. You can wear their clothes for working out or to run errands. I liked a sweater from that brand so decided to purchase it. I have seen the lines long here bur never like what I saw yesterday. There were at least 35 people in front of me. Some were together but still, much too long. I waited a few minutes and the line did not move since there were only two cashiers. I left the sweater and ended up purchasing it online. They should really have more than two cashiers on a weekend. Otherwise, I think this store is great. read more

I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I tried today to return two items I bought two days ago. The return complied in every way with Dick's Sporting Goods' online return policy (https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/s/return-policy) First the checkout person and then the manager on duty informed me I could nor return the goods because the scanner did not recognize the items. When I protested that the store's equipment malfunction should not be my problem, the manager on duty insisted he was following "store policy". The cost of the items exceeded $100. I have always went to this specific DICK'S SPORTING GOODS when I was a kid. Let me inform you more on this business. Recently I've gotten a basketball and basketball shoes, as well as a good flexible water bottle and ball pump. I use them a lot. But in the past I have played football (soccer) and needed equipment. So I always counted on DICK'S to provide me equipment. The place itself is huge, and they use all of this space well organized. When I needed basketball shoes I found all types of shoes in one section. While they have different sports sections. This is a really nice store and they sell a lot of items to fit the Florida lifestyle. They have one of the biggest golf selections I have ever seen. Nice selection of suits, I know this sounds odd but these items can be hard to find in the winter even in this warm climate. Lots of basketball related items, more basketballs than I ever seen. The have hoops set up and on display, so great to check out if you are looking for one for your house. Plenty of stand up paddle boards and kayaks, nice selection. My biggest gripe about this store is that it can be a bit pricey. They do have clearance racks towards the back of the store though. read more

I came here looking for a North Face jacket. It is kind of an odd time of year to be shopping for this especially in South Florida. But I want to be prepared because I am pretty sure I will be going to New York City later this year. I like the quality of North Face and my old North Face jacket is kind of beat up from a previous trip. Anyway, because of the time of year I wasn't sure they would actually have these jackets. I called them before going to the store and asked if they had the quilted and/or down jackets from The North Face. I was told yes and they had a lot of them. Great, I did not want to waste a trip over there. I go to the back of the store and see one quilted North Face jacket. Then, I see a bunch of rain gear from North Face. I figured I must be in the wrong department so I asked an employee. I was directed to the other side of the store. But, those are for men. So, I asked another employee and she brought me over to the first place I was at. There was no selection except for that one jacket. I was disappointed I actually took the time to call them to try and save myself time and annoyance from going there for no reason. I saw other sections of the store had sparsely populated merchandise. This store used to have a lot of merchandise. They still do in a lot of sections. I used to get my Nike apparel at Sports Authority, but since they went out of business, I always wanted to check out Dick's Sporting Goods to see what they offered. Doing a bit of clothes shopping at other retail stores, I decided to stop by Dick's Sporting Goods to get myself a Nike t-shirt. The store is large with a wide selection of exercise and sports equipment, and accessories. There are also various brands of apparel and footwear for men, women, and kids; as well as sports gear for MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and soccer teams. The prices range from moderate to expensive, and there are always weekly sales on selective items. Luckily I didn't have to look far. The Nike apparel was located right in the front of the store upon entering. After looking at the different graphics, I chose a black t-shirt with a red Nike logo, which will go well with my pair of black Nike VXT. I looked around and saw a female employee refolding shirts and asked her if I could use the dressing room to see if the t-shirt fit me right. She was nice enough to lead me to the dressing room and used a key to open the door. The shirt fitted me perfectly. It cost $25, but when the cashier rang it up, it was on sale for $19.98...nice! Definitely will be coming back to get more apparels. read more

Parking & Store: Parking is large and this store is actually huge! Bigger than the one near us by Dadeland Mall. Customer Service and my In-Store Pick Up: I had ordered a 13 ft. kayak online and picked it up in the store. Eric helped us, I have to say his customer service is a loyal one to guests and the store's brand. As my husband and him were taking the kayak out, he stopped and we weren't sure why. He noticed the kayak had a dent we didnt even notice while in the store. Another sales associate would've kept quiet or ignored it to avoid causing themself more work over a large item. We all tried to fix it but couldn't so he offered to look for another one, which he did. It's a complete difference when you're buying from good reliable employees. Went to this location to get a bike fixed up. Jordan had it done and cleaned in under 20 minutes. Great service on his part and exceeded my expectations regarding customer service compared to other employees in the past. Abigail at the register was also very nice, got me out of there quickly, honored a price tag on an item I was purchasing, and communicated well with Jordan on my service. Best experience I've had in the 2 times I was at this location. And the first time I had to wait a bit long in my opinion for someone to come load the $300 punching bag set I was purchasing on to my truck. Customer service wasn't all the way there on that one. But, Jordan and Abigail have definitely changed my opinion on the location. I will be going back thanks to them. Needless to say, I was pretty stoked when we came across this store in Pembroke Pines and were compelled to stop and check it out. Don't bother buying an extended warranty for your bicycle purchase here. I bought a 2 year extended warranty for $40 which included a tuneup and 1 inner tube replacement per year. It ended up being a complete waste of money. I came in today asking the sales associate for help in getting a new inner tube replacement, he informed that the warranty does not cover inner tubes or tires. Sales associate stated 2 min later that he called corporate and they said they don't authorize inner tube changes anymore, Lie. I then spoke with the manager and showed him my receipt as well as the terms of their extended warranty on their own website which stated exactly what I claimed it did. He informed me that they have changed the warranty plan and then pretended he was busy talking on his earpiece while walking away hiding behind some aisles. The store was completely empty and all the workers were just scattered hiding from me not wanting to help out at all. I finally gave up waiting on the manager and left, was trying to laugh it off that customer service really existed like this. Something is really shady about this store. I have never received this much lack customer service in any retail setting ever. Hopefully corporate can give me a refund on the warranty since it is non existent. read more

The selection for hiking, sports apparel, fishing, and golf equipment is way better than SA. I would recommend giving this store a shot if you are an avid Sports Authority shopper. read more

Went into this store to purchase new soccer cleats. Went through a bunch of options but of all the ones I liked, they didn't carry my size. Finally I found an option that works and went to the register to pay. Only to find out that they could not sell me the cleats because they were "Not released" yet. So why are they on the sales floor?? The store manager made no attempt to rectify the situation. All he did was ask me if I liked something else. Which of course I already did like many other options, but you didn't have any in my size. Needless to say I was frustrated on all the time wasted and left the store. Decided to come back next day because I needed tape and goal keeper gloves. This time they only had two working registers on a Sunday at 2pm. Very busy time. The line was so long to checkout that many people, including myself decided to just leave. So again another wasted trip and time at this store. I am a very active individual and partake in many sporting events. I will need to replace gear and equipment often. Purchased some soccer stuff for my daughter (since our North American moving company screwed us- that's another review forthcoming) and then received a Dicks coupon through her soccer team. I just came out of the dick's sporting good store. I am the only one with a 3 year old, the manager receives me as I wanted to check what I could do with store credits if I still had any. He presents me to the cashier to check. We wait for 10 minutes and after cashier checks, I don't have store credits so I decide to just buy 2 gift cards for $25/ each. As I am there with him, the cashier, my 3 year old the store manager sends me off to do 30 minute wait line! What a horrible customer service !! I am already there with them ready to pay And a baby and his decision process is "bro'... you gotta do the line" First of all I am not your bro'. I went to Dicks in Pembroke Pines for replace the string and guard to my tennis racket. My main goal was to replace the guard but in doing so, I had no choice but to replace the strings. I was told that they were not sure if they can do it but to leave the racket and they will get back to me. When I got to talk to them, they told me they could do it and that it would be ready the following night. When I passed by, the racket was not ready. After the unnecessary trip, specially at pick hours, they told me they would call me when ready. Few days passed by and I didn't get a call. When I passed by the racket was not ready (6 days has passed by now) because they couldn't fit the new guard. They called the tennis guy and he told me I was using the wrong part. When I told him I made sure to get the correct part, he told me he has been doing that for 20 years, that there is no way that guard fit my racket. I contacted the seller I got the racket from and told me it does fit. Ended up taking my racket to Tennis Plaza in Doral, FL, where I usually buy my stuff (close to work) and they told me right away that it does fit my racket. It was ready to be picked up the same day. Although the people were nice at Dicks Pembroke Pines, they wasted my time by doing two trips at peak hours and were unable to complete the job which resulted in not being able to play. Do not recommend you bring your tennis rackets there. read more

I ask an employee wassup with that and he says its regular price - not clearance, not on sale. Looks obvious to me that the employees just didn't feel like pricing it down. Or Dicks is trying to pull a fast one. But I find it very hard to believe that 90 articles of clothing were "misplaced" on all those racks!! Bad business!! read more

If I had to describe this place I would say its a mix of Sport Authority and The Bass Pro Shop. I would not say it is very extensive in any particular sport.. it just has a little bit of everything. There is your sporting things such as: equipment, uniforms, etc. There is excercise stuff like clothing, weights, machines. There is a camping section, a fishing section, there also sell rifles there.. but no hand guns (FYI). There are freezers in the fishing sections with live bait. I was there to check it out because I have a camping trip coming up this weekend and I wanted to see if there was anything worth picking up in here. While I can say that the camping section isnt the widest I have ever seen it does have , as I said earlier, a little bit of everything. Kinda like the camping section in Wal-Mart. The prices in here are alright, Sports Authority-ish. All in all I think its ok for what it is.. but if you need anything that is more special then your general supplies I'd go somewhere else. And I'm talking about every sport/hobby/work out.. not just camping stuff. read more

NPS = 7 Overpriced, but a great place to go showrooming. You might ask, "What is showrooming?" Well, my friend, it is the unfortunate fate that has been awaiting brick and mortar stores since the invention of the Internet. Unless you find something on clearance. If that's the case, you may find some good deals. I love their golf section because you can get fitted to a set of clubs and try out different putters in the store. They also have a really cool hunting section which is something else that distinguishes Dick's from their main competitor. I am not sure what Dick's competitive advantage is against Sports Authority, but I'm willing to bet it's better brand names of equipment. Anyway, sadly this place is the quintessential example of a place to go showrooming and what awaits the retail industry. You might even see a couple of people scanning barcodes with their phones and smiling as they put the golf clubs back where they found them. read more

Christmas is probably the most hectic time of the year, especially when you are looking for something specific and can not find it. People can be rude and sales associates may be too busy to help. I went to Dick's during this time and was not able to find what I wanted, but immediately a sales person offered to help. We could not find what I was looking for in the store and he checked in the back, but told me that it can be ordered and arrive before Christmas. It was ordered and arrived in 3 days. Ordering from the store was very convenient because I did not have to carry a large box into my car, it gets delivered straight to your house. The store is pretty big and organized. It is easy to find what section to go to, to find what you are looking for. My time in this store was very impressive, I was able to walk to the area I needed to go, I did not have to search the entire store for help, or wait for a sales person finish with one person and then help me and at the end I got what I wanted. read more
