Lunch: Butter Chicken with Garlic Naan
    Ran C.

In Cheyenne, Wyoming having Indian and Nepalese food. The same guy who eats hot noodles and soup when it's triple digit temps. To many, it's weird, but to me, the stomach gets what the stomach wants. And on that day, it wanted fresh, flavorful dishes prepared with a mix of spices and some spicy heat to go along. Missed on the heat but overall, it was a good experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First - Durbar is in a strip mall - pretty modest facade. Even in the interior is simple, functional - and comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was hot out and it was nice being indoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Second - service was good too. Attentive as needed. Mostly for refills. Did I mention it was hot out? Needed to hydrate. Friendly wouldn't be a word I'd use but it wasn't unfriendly - the server was there, did what needed to be done and handled business. Then there's the food - see pics. I enjoyed my lunch combo - the only thing I mentioned about being a miss was that I did request spicy. And for those who know me, I know what you're saying - nothing will be hot for me. However, the spice level here must cater to the demographics because I didn't feel a tingle. So, I'm glad the flavors made up for it. Aromatic and rich to go with the buttery texture and spice of the dishes. I enjoyed how the naan was prepared - would have loved it more if it had more of a garlic punch. Now you know I love garlic. So, I've been to Wyoming a few times - just not recently. Not sure if I'll be back but I know that if I happen to, and I'm craving Indian/Nepalese, I'd definitely make a return visit.

10 out of 10!!!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Was down for mechanical repairs at the O' Reilly's and smelled this Fantastic aroma.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tried it for lunch and had to come back for Dinner. Will absolutely recommend. The staff are polite, and quick to take care of you. The taste was perfect both times. If you don't know what to try just ask the staff they will help you out.

Durbar brings a new flavor to Cheyenne. The menu is diverse and there are options for everyone vegan, vegetarian, carnivore...and it's all delicious.

I just wanna hop on here and let you guys know this place is amazing! I'm not sure about the people saying the service was awkward or not friendly?? The lady serving me was extremely kind and checked in with me often, I got the butter chicken very basic I know but it was delicious! I would definitely recommend coming here, it's hard to find good food like this place

So the food was fine other than they didn't give me very much meat in my lamb biryani, but I reheated my food for lunch today and I bit into a piece of metal. Hurt my tooth and kinda freaked me out. Probably will not get this again.

My family and I were in town for the day. We LOVE Indian food so, we decided to try this place. We really enjoyed it! Loved that they had a lunch plate which included an entree, rice, vegetable pakora, veggies, naan, & dessert. It was our first time trying pakora, and it was delicious!!! Big portion. Two people could probably share one.

We stopped here our first night in town based on the reviews. Unfortunately we were underwhelmed. As we walked in there was no one to greet us and we waited several minutes before we were seated. The ambiance was what you would expect from a strip mall location. To start we ordered the chili and onion naan. We love Baan, and this was the first time I really didn't like it. We expected the chilis inside to be roasted but the naan was full of raw green jalapeños . The texture and flavor was just off. To make matters worse we ordered one basket and they brought and charged us for two. For dinner we had the chicken vindaloo and aloo gobe. We have had these fishes many times at other flavors. It wasn't bad, just not overly good either. Overall probably not a place we would return to.

If you're looking for incredible Indian food in Cheyenne, Spice Zone is the answer…read more The food: The butter chicken is the star -- creamy, aromatic, and perfectly seasoned. My family orders it every single time. The garlic naan is equally essential: fresh from the oven, soft with just the right char, and absolutely loaded with garlic. It's the kind of naan you keep ordering more of because you can't stop eating it. The service: This is where Spice Zone really shines. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely seems to care that you're having a great experience. They check in without hovering, refill drinks before you ask, and make you feel like a regular even on your first visit. The spice: They have a genuine range of spice levels, which is rare. A lot of places say "mild to hot" but everything comes out medium. Not here. They'll make it genuinely mild for those who want it, and they'll bring real heat for those who ask. Everyone gets what they want. Bottom line: Great food, amazing service, and they nail the basics. Five stars because it's the kind of place you find yourself recommending to everyone. Already planning our next visit.

We had the eggrolls, lamb biriyani and the Mango Curry chicken and all were so well made we kept talking about it through the meal. We chose medium plus heat and it was perfect for the mango but could have gone higher on the biriyani. The heat of the mango dish was slow and warming in the most pleasant way, not the burn your mouth off style that can overpower a dish. The venue was immaculate and the people working there were polite and attentive. It's not fancy, but it was pleasant to be there. We'll go again soon. I didn't take photos, fail.

While we were inside, we noticed a kitchen in the back that looked surprisingly legit authentic big pots, real equipment, and what looked like a family running the whole operation. Everyone there was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We got to chatting and learned the place was run by a Sikh family. The kitchen smelled amazing, and after seeing how authentic everything looked, we figured we'd give it a shot. Normally, Indian food from a truck stop in rural Wyoming isn't something I'd experiment with knowing I still had 6-7 hours of travel ahead of me to get home, but this place completely blew us away. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan, and my buddy got the butter chicken with plain naan. Both came out piping hot in about 10 minutes. The flavors were incredible, rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced. Honestly better than a lot of places I've had in bigger cities. I ended up scarfing mine down while driving to the airport because it smelled too good to wait. I'm pretty particular about Indian food and usually don't eat it much outside of places like London, but this was fantastic. If I'm ever passing through that area again, I'll absolutely stop back and probably grab multiple plates. One of those unexpected road-trip food wins you don't forget.
