I wanted to love it here but we were let down. I did love the atmosphere and my martini was great, but the food was disappointing. The birria tacos had a strong cinnamon flavor we couldn't get past. That was all it tasted like and I just don't like beef that tastes like cinnamon. I did ask the bartender if they used it and she said yes they cook the beef with cinnamon stick and cardamon which gives it that flavor. I asked bc I thought maybe I just got a bad batch. Also we ordered the jalapeno queso, didn't like that either it had a bacon flavoring. The chips were also soaked in grease so they get chewy and a weird texture. The dessert was the saving grace being I was still so hungry bc I couldn't eat the other things. Dessert was great. I would just recommend trying something different else if you go. Or maybe adding the flavor profile on the menu so people are aware before ordering. read more

The staff was very attentive and friendly. The food is always fantastic and comes out hot! Tonight we had the carne asada, cook perfectly tender, and the chimichangas with a variety of meat. Dinner was affordable, two meals, two drinks, and tip under $60. I've gotten their empanadas and nachos in the past, also fabulous! Highly recommend this spot! Saturday afternoon, pretty dead, a few diners. With the adult kids, they liked it and wanted us to try it. Every thing was very different from any Mexican/ Texmex we had been to before. Food was excellent, even the gratis chips and salsa was unique and different, thin but very clean and light taste. I had the fajita bowl with chicken delish , even the rice and beans were unique. Whole beans of various sorts and short grain rice in a fantastic sauce every thing covered in a creamy avocado sauce and cheese. The kids had beef tacos, the beef looked like short rib meat shredded. With a spicy dipping sauce. Spouse had enchiladas and had to get a to go there was so much. Now the not so great . Service was pretty dismal, forgot the guacamole, forgot the iced tea, took two trips to get to go containers. And the check starts the tipping suggestions at 25% and goes up to 45% ! Ridiculous ! Ambiance was good if not really dark. We were by the window but I imagine if you were further back of if at night you couldn't see the food at all. I really wanted to try this restaurant so ordered take out. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I called in my order of the burrito lunch bowl. It took about 15 minutes. I walked into a very cute restaurant! I told the nice lady my name and she brung out my food and I paid. When I dug in, the food was tasty and very filling! I enjoyed the sauce that came with it! When this place first opened, the food was excellent, but lately it seems to have lost some of its original appeal in my opinion. The music is like elevator music, and the menu is now quite limited. Fajitas was well cooked with good quantity. Corn tortillas it comes with tasted fresh. I wish they could serve some sour cream, pico de gallo or salsa with it. Even then, great dish! Loved it. Veggie quesadillas: Show Stopper! Super delicious! Cheese, veggies and tortillas were all fantastic. Veggie Tacos - The corn tortillas comes with a filling of quinoas & tomatoes, which is not bad, but it just doesn't feel like a taco. Our group came to celebrate a birthday on Friday night. We made reservations in advance and I tried calling in the afternoon to pre-order a birthday dessert for our friend. I was placed on hold for a while and eventually hung up and decided I would say something to the waiter or hostess when we arrived. Once seated, we were brought our drinks and chips/salsa. I snuck to the bathroom and let the hostess know about the birthday. I asked if they could throw churros on our bill and bring it out at the end. They never came. It is what it is, and we weren't charged. But that was the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars. Everything aside from that was great. The service was super fast, the food delicious and fresh, and reasonably priced. We will def be back even after the birthday mix up! read more

This was a first experience. Lots of room for improvement. Arrived for lunch. It's BYOB as well. That's not a bad thing. There was one server. She did a good job considering. We ordered from the lunch selections and our other patrons ordered from dinner selections. As you see in photos, the lunch portions were gigantic when compared to the dinner selections. I had the burrito, (pork)and my husband had burrito (chicken)bowl which is basically the burrito without the tortilla. The other guests had the smell dish of enchiladas. My burrito was just a massive amount of food. The cheese was congealed when it arrived at the table. My husband's burrito bowl was tasty, however the chicken was sparse and very dry. The other guests did like their dish. I will give it another try. I liked the atmosphere and weather permitting you can dine outside. read more

Went with coworkers, one of which is Dallas TX born and raised and we were all very impressed. Complementary chips were warm and the salsa was noticeably from scratch and very flavorful. Same with the Jalepeno Queso that we got as an app. 2 of us got the enchiladas and the other got a steak burrito. Can't say enough good things about the meal. As a lover of Tex-Mex, I can tell by the menu offerings that they know what they are doing. Ambiance is clean, and sophisticated. Service was solid and with a smile. You can tell someone put money into this place and had a very clear vision. If Bravo can remain consistent they will establish themselves as a much needed area staple for Mexican food. Since most of my friends know I am not a huge fan of Mexican/TexMex. But this place can definitely change my mind. I had the tuna tartare appetizer. Tons of tuna with avocado along with a beautiful presentation. Reminded me of one I had in Bogota, though different style cuisine. Next was the lobster bisque. Excellent with lots of whole lobster meat. And for my entree had the rib feature. Came with a choice of sauces so I decided on the mango habanero. Outstanding! Great up front sweet with a spicy finish. To finish the flan, what more can I say. I have to say I was very impressed with everything from the service, atmosphere and especially the food. My family and I reserved a table for 10 to celebrate my father's 70th birthday and we all enjoyed our lunch! They had a great selection of vegetarian dishes (the veg tacos with quinoa and the veg fajitas were tasty!), and the meat-eaters all enjoyed their entrees - a lot of them got the pulled pork quesadilla and enjoyed them. We also got 2 fresh guacamoles made on the table that were full of flavor. If you're very hungry, get the burrito - it's HUGE and you'll definitely be taking some home! Once they get their drinking license it's going to be bumping. Plus it's in a local area and the portions of the food are just right. Visited on 2 separate occasions. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The space is clean, contemporary, and comfortable. You will want to eat many servings of the fresh, obviously homemade salsa. The chips are crispy, perfectly salted and delicious. Make sure you get the sweet plantains. We got them as an appetizer - very generous portion for the price. Vegetarian entree options are pretty disappointing considering it's super easy to make almost any Mexican dish in a non-meat version. Vegetarians want more than "vegetables" or quinoa too. Consider some of the amazing meat alternatives on the market like Mexican restaurants in cities such as NYC and Philadelphia do. Vegan soy chorizo is a nice topping alternative for nachos, enchiladas, etc. Do not miss the desserts at Bravo, they are phenomenal. It was our first time at Bravo in Pittston. My husband and I were seated and we were waiting on 2 more of our friends to join us. We tried to order a side of queso and there was miscommunication between us and the server. We thought there'd be a side of queso option to add to our chips and salsa and not an entire order of queso. When our friends came, we asked if we ordered the side of queso we spoke to the server about. They said no, and my husband said he still wanted it. I let him know the chips and queso was $14 and because we were ordering our food we probably didn't need it. Our server jumped back at me and said "what? you want a kids menu" and I said, well I do want a side of queso, not a $14 portion. My husband, very naive to what happened, said is there a kids portion of queso? and the server laughed and said no there's one size. So that felt extremely rude. Then our friends asked if wings came in half orders (5 instead of 10) and she said well yeah - but do you think you'll get a discount? and he said well, am I getting 5 wings and paying for the price of 10? and she said yes - so he said give him the 10. We had no problem paying full price for any of these items - but it being our first time we just had questions and every answer came back with an attitude and inconvenience. Lastly, when we paid the tip options were 25% 30% 35% 40% I have served and bartended for 10 years. I've never spoken to customers like they are stupid for asking questions, especially their first time in a new restaurant. The food tasted great, the service was extremely rude. I hope this review helps them treat new customers better who are coming to their establishment for the first time. read more

Spicy Guac with blue cheese was an interesting but amazing choice would definitely recommend to anyone trying this place out. All of the food tastes fresh (thankfully) and the menu is very well thought out. The young man who seated us was very nice, server was a sweet young girl. The design of the restaurant is very modern, very very good experience overall. Genuinely hope this restaurant is here to stay long term. On street parking, lot across the street.
