He obviously knows his craft, but most importantly, he tattoos for the love of the art, and was able to explain what it means to him. He went through a series of questions about the detail before we started, and I knew from the questions he asked that he was a perfectionist. The process was fantastic, and he maintained my confidence throughout - I never had any doubt. The result is nothing less than spectacular - the detail and color are magnificently faithful to the original design. I am happier with the result than I could possibly have imagined. It really is quite perfect. If you want an artist who loves what he does, does it for that love of the art and not for the money, and rightfully takes great pride in his work, I recommend Black Sail and Sebastian 1000%.

Now if I want to put a hoop in it will be a massive hoop. The piercing healed fine but they used a corkscrew piercing which is super outdated and the gem from my piercing fell out after 5 months. I would not get a nose piercing from here and I wish I would've gone somewhere else.

I received a tattoo cover up here that required two sessions. My girlfriend came with me.We were quoted approximately $500 for the tattoo, and during the first appointment we tipped $100 because we were verbally told the second session would be free aside from potentially a small shop/service fee. During the second session, we were unexpectedly charged an additional $100. I chose not to argue because the tattoo initially looked good and we trusted the process. However, after healing, a significant amount of the opaque shading faded and the original tattoo became visible again. We reached out calmly and professionally simply to discuss the fading and the misunderstanding surrounding pricing for the second session. Instead of handling the situation professionally as the owner of a business should, Joey immediately became defensive, hostile, and disrespectful. Despite us clearly requesting written communication only, he repeatedly attempted to call us and became increasingly rude when we would not answer. During the conversation, Joey made comments including "You obviously don't speak English," used a homophobic slur ("fag"), mocked us, and repeatedly treated us with disrespect for simply attempting to discuss a customer service concern reasonably and professionally. At no point were we threatening, aggressive, or disrespectful toward him. We simply wanted to discuss the fading of the tattoo and the unexpected additional charge in a calm and respectful way. What disappointed us most was not even the tattoo outcome itself, because touch ups and fading can happen. It was the behavior and complete lack of professionalism shown by the owner when a customer tried to resolve an issue respectfully. If you choose to go here, I strongly recommend getting ALL pricing, touch up expectations, and guarantees in writing beforehand. My brother is a long time customer of Jamie, and while I was a loyal fan of another artist, I couldn't help but admire Jamie's talent. I had a brief vision of what I wanted, and Jamie took it, ran, and made it 100% better. He crafted it into a stunning piece that I get to wear forever. I can confidently say that no other artist that I have been to would have done the same. I am also familiar and like Jamie's style, which are two important factors in choosing your artist. He was thorough, professional, and clean. The dermal care products he used, during the session and after, are top of the line. People don't consider all the costs that go into tattooing. If you're going to exasperate the largest organ in my body for multiple hours on a gorgeous piece, Jamie is worth every penny.
