Salad bar yummy. Soups were excellent. One of the last real remaining salad bars in Orlando. Server Brianna was very attentive. We got a side of turkey cause we needed to eat some Dustin's BBQ. Great visit. Tables cleaned very quickly.

I do not get to this side of town that often but this is my go to place when I do . They are one of the only restaurants that still has a salad bar. You can get it with just the bar or add soup to the salad bar- you can also get the diet bar which gives you a small amount of meat ( 4 oz I believe) plus the salad and soup bar. Our server Breanna was quick to take our order and bring us plates for the salad bar - I also got the soup ( chicken gumbo- very good lots of chicken) . The atmosphere is nice not very noisy even with such a large dining area. You can even get a free soft serve ice cream when you leave. I do wish that the restaurant chain offered a Veterans discount .

Ok Dustin's! What have you done? They used to be pretty decent for BBQ but now not so much. When we arrived the restaurant was somewhat dead so I figured things would move somewhat fast. That was my mistake in thinking that. Once we got a waiter to come over, I ordered a BBQ platter with sliced pork, ribs and chicken and 2 sides. I chose corn on the cob and green beans. My son ordered the burger. The food came out fairly quick. Everything looked delicious but once I started eating I realized looks can be deceiving. My sliced pork was dry and absolutely no flavor or hint of being smoked. The ribs were inedible. And the skin on the chicken was inedible. There was no seasoning on anything! No butter was provided for the corn and the green beans tasted like they came from the can. I would have expressed my displeasure but the servers were missing in the back or helping one table that consisted of a few Sheriff's deputies. It appeared they are the priority and the other few tables were left to fend for ourselves. I had to literally wave my hands to get our servers attention to ask for the check. I paid and left. We probably won't be back. It was awful!

Still a local favorite in the Avalon Park area. Lately, when in the mood for wings, I go here. They have some decent prices (even with wingflation) and their cajun dry rub keeps them crispy as you dip into their sauces (I like the hot). The salad bar is still good and they do keep up with keeping it as clean as possible with all the rugrats up there making a mess. I still wish they'd include the soup when adding it to a meal, but you can get AYCE with the soup. The brisket is done differently from what it used to be where you can pick fatty vs lean. Now, they just kinda bring it out. And since I cut down on beef, I've also been ordering their turkey which is amazing. Free Ice Cream is still there, the garlic bread is still my favorite part, and the staff is always friendly and attentive.

Dustin's Bar-B-Q is a chain barbecue place like Sonny's and the ambiance definitely screams "chain restaurant" (or would it be more appropriate to put it as "CHAIN RESTAURANT" using capital letters?). There is nothing truly wrong with that, but the decor of the place definitely reminded me of a barbecue chain restaurant. The service is decent and when comparing it to other barbecue chain restaurants, it is not bad. Please don't misunderstand, I will always seek out and prefer the local mom-and-pop barbecue restaurants (actually, I almost always prefer the local mom-and-pop locations), however sometimes you find yourself in a national chain restaurant. It could be for convenience or a promotion, but we have all sought out a national chain. Anyway, the food is good and the prices are competitive. Being on East Colonial Drive, it is convenient to those who travel this busy highway, as well as also being convenient to the residents of Waterford Lakes, Avalon Park and that area. Parking is decent and again, it is conveniently located. With good food at decent prices, this is not a bad place to head to.

We love Dustin's in Orlando! We were blessed to have the most amazing customer service from Tawny. She gave great recommendations that were spot on and she made us feel like we were family. She recommended the garlic shrimp and WOW was she correct, it tastes amazing! We were pleasantly pleased with the salad bar being constantly filled up with fresh produce & goodies. I think that Dustin's has the best salad bar in Central Florida, possibly the whole state! Lastly, I was very impressed with manager Chris. He is young, but very professional and took care of our needs. You want delicious & fresh BBQ? You want Dustin's for sure!

Everyone at this location is so friendly and helpful all the time. I went through the Drive Thru in order to maintain Social Distancing, the person at the window was wearing a mask and gloves, however I was paying with a card, which involved dealing with a clipboard as pen, eww! No one wants to touch a clipboard or pen in the age of COVID-19. If I don't see it being sanitized, it's automatically contaminated. I don't want to touch it and I certainly don't want it in my car. This business is putting their customers, employees and the community at risk of COVID-19. Get rid of the clipboard and pen at the Drive Thru. Most Drive Thru Windows are touch-less at this point. People: Good Process: Good Product: Good Quality: Good Quantity: Good Value: Fair Cleanliness: Good Ambience: Good Timing: Good Attention To Detail: Good COVID-19 Standards: Fair

Everybody needs a little time away. lol. So my main girl's Sonny's in the way of casual homogeneous commercial bbq lunch but I've been feeling the fever for the flavor of something else lately. Oh, I've eaten at Dustin's over the years plenty before; just not as often. It's probably been a few years since the one over in Edgewater or DeLand. Anyway, Dustin's tends to be rustic podunk like Sonny's used to be back in the day but not this one. It's a fully modernized version of the chain and it's all good. Ordered my usual turkey sandwich here. Was pretty good too. I Like that you could supersize the sammy or add bacon, nice touch; Sonny's stopped doing that years ago. They toasted my bun too, on request. Also liked that it was shaved, turkey's good like that, came with shredded lettuce and had a few cheese options. I went with American which I thought would have been white though it came orange. Fries were a hot dropped delicious crispy mess. And the beans and slaw were stand up. Overall, very happy, happy, happy. Super-duper lunch sammy with fries, add beans and slaw sides was $18 pre-tip with a swee-eet tea. Yumn.

Rib Nuggets with the house Sweet BBQ Sauce, a side of mac & cheese, cornbread, and a Coke. Let me start with that sauce... it's the bomb. Seriously, I could drink it through a straw. It's so good that I found myself dipping every single bite into it. The rib nuggets were tender and flavorful. Every bite somehow tasted even better than the last. The cornbread was incredibly moist and delicious, with just the right amount of sweetness. The mac & cheese was good, but I'll admit I'm a little biased. My old lady makes an incredible macaroni pie, and since I don't get it nearly as often as I'd like, she's set the bar pretty high for my belly. That's a tough standard for any restaurant to beat. Two complaints... First, the "moist" towelette they gave me after I demolished my food was anything but moist. That thing was drier than an 80-year-old woman's taco in the middle of the coldest night in Alaska. I think it actually absorbed moisture from my hands. Second, after a meal that good, I have one question for corporate America: What exactly do you expect me to accomplish this afternoon? Between the rib nuggets, mac & cheese, cornbread, and that Sweet BBQ sauce, I was one recliner away from a full-blown food coma. Pro tip: Order extra Sweet BBQ sauce... trust me. You might be tempted to drink it through a straw too.

So we ended up with a portion of the pork rib, the pulled pork and the pork belly. The pork ribs was really good, although my husband didn't like the glaze that they had on the rib but the meat was delicious. The pulled pork was very good not fatty, which is fantastic. The pork belly is cut into giant chunks. It is very tasty. It does have a decent amount of fat on it. This location also has a variety of sides to choose from. We opted for the collard greens and the mac & cheese. The collard greens were good. They could've been cooked a little bit longer. As some of the pieces were a bit crunchy. The mac & cheese was good although the cheese sauce felt a little gooey and we attributed to that they may use a rue to make their sauce. The restaurant also offers plenty of room to stay and enjoy your food both indoors and outdoors. It was way too hot so decided to get mine to go. The plate is massive! Lots for chopped brisket and fries. Toast was soggy due to the condensation from the meat so just ok for me. The beans were sweet and smokey, an unexpected treat. The mac & cheese was dry. Didn't care for it. The Brisket - very good. Fell apart. However, I would have preferred it not chopped but sliced instead but still very tasty. And get the sweet BBQ sauce. Adds some depth to the meat. Overall, not bad. Solid 7/10 for me. Give it a go if you're in the area and looking for some quick smoked goodness.

The brisket wasn't as juicy as I would've liked. The fries were okay. Wish they were seasoned crinkle cut. The Mac and cheese was downright terrible. Like watered down velveeta. The barbecue sauce was so necessary because otherwise everything else tasted the same. Their sauces were good but again not anything unique. I probably wouldn't return unless I couldn't get bbq elsewhere.

This restaurant truly puts our soldiers, firefighters, police officers and first responders first and offers delicious and amazing bbq (and more) on their menu and let me tell you, it's some of the best in the area! Super friendly and hardworking staff with a positive attitude and giving their best to their customers. Upon asking one of the staff members about their job, "I LOVE working here!" was their response. Appreciated the positive vibes and energy. The interior is cozy, relaxing, and so much to look at on their walls. There is a very nice seating area outside (with umbrellas) that can be enjoyed, weather permitting. Truly American with a southern flair and great country music playing while you enjoy an amazing meal! With a small donation to support our heroes, you get their American Heroes Cup and and by the way, when in season, strawberry shortcake (homemade) is "to die for!" You won't be disappointed!
