Worked the majority of the day, was here 5+ hours, other than running out for parts at Home Depot, which took quite a while & the store is close by. At the end of the day he had only partially replaced 2 faucets, and had gotten the wrong parts at Home Depot. Charged around $100 an hour for time, including the Home Depot run. Would not give a breakdown of charges even though asked twice. When I complained he came back to finish the faucets on a different day. He also quoted around 2k to swap out a shower head & tub faucet, saying the wall would have to be opened up. I did pass on that & used a licensed plumber who had that same job done in an hour for a couple hundred. So in summary he's fine as an electrician, but he's inept at plumbing, so take a pass on anything other than electrical! //// In response to your response....No there was no upfront contract or pricing promise. After three…read moreelectrical companies failed to resolve the issue (and one even proposed an expensive rewiring), we found Mikus Electric & Generators in Volo through a recommendation from Generac and that was the turning point. Mike, the owner of Mikus, sent his best electrician, Roger, the very next morning. Roger diagnosed the problem immediately, and said, "Give me 10 minutes." That's all it took. We had power again after 12 days of incompetent electricians. Mikus went on to correct additional electrical damage caused by the surge and previous poor workmanship. Mikus was excellent, super responsive, professional and got the job done right. I'll also add that they were very empathetic that we had no power in half the house for 12 days and our house needed immediate help. We won't work with anyone else moving forward.
