You order at the counter, and host, Ryan was quite friendly and knowledgeable. My wife had the recommended Boneyard RPM and she loved it. I stuck to Sierra Mist after the wine. We did see someone giving "pleasure" to someone else outside in a car. Not a great sight while eating. Good experience, not great...but I will still come back.

We discovered the Bitter Monk through a friend who lives locally. At his recommendation, we visited for the first time about a year ago. This weekend was the third time we've returned. This weekend they were hosting the Wonderland Brew Fest. Live music, at least 30 different brews to chose from, wonderful local pretzel vendor, and a food truck! Absolute heaven! McMinnville is a little piece of heaven just south of Portland... The Bitter Monk makes it just a little more perfect! If you're ever nearby, stop in and enjoy a lovely brew. I ordered the nachos with chicken, which had queso and were a very large portion considering they were listed as a starter. All of our food arrived as ordered and looked delicious. However, by the time we were finished eating, the restaurant had started filling up. There were only two servers and unfortunately, our server had many tables she had to keep up with. It took her 25+ min to come check on us after we had finished our meal so that we could pay the check. It was so hot that it just made the experience miserable. I would definitely give this place another chance, maybe on a cooler day. And definitely when it is less busy.
