Do you just hire anyone just so you don't have to pay them the quality service real people can provide. Starbucks never asks for a tip but yet we still tip them because they have much better customer service. I paid 7$ lousy for a code that looks small more than medium. The quality of coffee is the other thing is a joke and it's horribly. You can fool people who don't know beverages but I have managed beverages all my life and this quality is horrible. I come here quite often and normally things are great, but this recent experience was awful. I placed a mobile order when I was a couple blocks away. There was a long drive through line out to the street. I tried to park in their mobile order parking but it was blocked by the drive through line. So I parked in another businesses lot and went to the mobile order window. No one helped me there so I went inside to pick it up. I waited for 15+ min for anyone to come out and help me. I was in a but of a rush after waiting that long because I had an appointment to get to and didn't think it would take over 20-30 min to get a drink. When someone did come out and help me, they were super rude and rolled their eyes at me. Someone different came out with my drink but didn't give it to me. Instead she said let's see you owe, like I hadn't already paid since it was a mobile order after double checking. I said it was a mobile order and she gave it to me. By the time I finally walked out every car that was in the drive through line when I showed up had already been helped and was gone. Overall, horrible experience with a rude barista and clearly no communication. I've already filed a complaint through their website. read more

From the fact that they have the unusual option of enjoying your cup of coffee inside (unique, given the fact that nearly every other Dutch Bros I've been to has been strictly drive-thru), to the outdoor fireplace and patio seating, to the fast and above-and-beyond friendly service--this Dutch Bros is doing things right. The drive-thru is quick and easy. During peak hours, they have a crew outside who will take your order so that they're working on your order before you ever get to the window. So, very nice if you're in a hurry. Their espresso isn't as rich as I prefer, but if I'm in the mood for something on the sweeter side--their mochas do the trick. Overall, I would say Dutch Bros successfully demonstrates that it is possible to pair friendliness with efficiency. Reviewer no. 21 I visit this location when I'm in the downtown area and don't have time to park and go to the indoor downtown Dutch. The location is right on State Street in an ideal location. There is only one drive-thru as opposed to the usual two, but they do have an inside for you to visit. The line can get backed up and into the street, which isn't a good thing. I get an Americano (black coffee) add cream and sweet-n-low and it's only $2.75 and about 50 calories. I can get my kiddo a not-so-hot chocolate and my dog a treat (FREE, YAY!), too! I like the Bros mainly because of its people. Seriously, I don't know how they hire so many amazing people! Save some of us that need good employees!! My brother in law gets a sugar free blended soda, which is very similar to a coffee without the calories. He also makes lots of different drinks with their many sugar-free syrups making the guild a little less than going full-on calorie. I am now loyal to this place because of the amazing service. We couldn't figure out the entrance (user error) and the cashier walked outside to show us the way. We had lots of questions about sugar, mixtures, amount of coffee etc and our cashier was just so friendly. One of my favorite stops to make before I get to work. Although it is luck of the draw that this is one of the only drive through coffee shops that are on my way to work... I do particularly like this Dutch bros. The staff is always incredibly friendly and energetic. They are always patient with my occasional obnoxious coffee orders and have tasty suggestions too. They are very prompt to get individuals their coffee as quickly as possible. I've always been pleased with Dutch bro establishments and the quality of their coffee. Holy smokes! This place is incredible. Definitely the nicest and largest Dutch Bros location that I have seen. It accommodates drive thru AND has an indoor area to relax or do schoolwork. Outside there is also a fire pit to enjoy. As for location. This is very accommodating to the many people who drive trough State to get to BSU campus or downtown Boise. It is nice to finally have a Dutch Bros close to downtown. read more

If the coffee were just a little better I would give this a solid five. As it is, I am VERY impressed with their marketing and their connection with their clientele. My son and grandchildren and i were on our way home from a shopping expedition and he asked if I would like to stop for a cup of coffee. All three of the grandkids started clamoring for DUTCH BROTHERS, DUTCH BROTHERS! When we got there the line to the drive up was insane. It was so busy that there was a young lady taking orders several cars back from the start of the line. (See photo - there is a gap as the line moved forward while i was getting my phone out.) We went inside and I was pleased with the clean decor and surprised again by the line at the counter. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the drive up line was being attended to in a separate part of the building, totally not visible to the inside crowd, which really cut down on the noise pollution. The morning was just a little cool, so we sat inside at first, but when the sun rose high enough to warm the area by the fire pit we moved outside and enjoyed the outside seating too. (Did I mention there was about a 20 minute wait for the coffee and drinks?) This was at about 11 AM. As mentioned, the coffee was okay, but not as good as I make at home, thus the four star rating. The kids wanted to come for the liquid candy drinks. OMG, they were too sweet for me, and I have a serious sweet tooth. The kids, however, were obviously in love with them! The marketing to teens was incredible. In the left hand video screen in the picture of my granddaughter carrying the kid's drinks to the table there is a constant twitter feed below some fun videos. I saw kids in the line tweeting, probably hoping to see their tweet on the screen, but I do not know how quickly they appear. As a business owner, this impressed me enough that I wanted to write the review and give them a five star for service and marketing, even though I wish the coffee was more than good. ***UPDATE 05/12/2017*** after visiting my doctor that morning and learning that I have Strep Throat, I ran over to Dutch Bros. after taking my antibiotics, my lidocaine gargle, and a few powerful Norco 10-325's, I realize that something call would probably help the swelling in my throat. I ordered the DELICIOUS birthday cake freeze shake, and upon Itelling the barista why I was ordering it so early in the morning (the strep) she insisted on giving me the drink on the house! It was so kind and I was so impressed that I realized, this is why i keep coming back. The product offerings are delicious and services is exemplary. Not often in this world do people care id your not feeling well and this just made my day. Give these guys a raise. Their happiness and stubborn customer service will keep you coming back to you after day week after week month after month! Keep up the good work guys! This is a newer location for Dutch Bro's and I was happy to see an addition downtown (other than the one in the new transit building at 8th st and Idaho st) that had a drive thru. I had been a die hard Starbucks fan since I had started drinking coffee in 2003. I didn't mind the pricier option and loved a few staple items they offered (The lemon pound cake still remains a guilty pleasure) however, as I entered a new semester at school full time as well as a full time job, I was going to work at 5am-1pm and then class from 2pm-8:45pm 4-5 days a week. As I live in warn springs downtown, Starbucks on Broadway, was my place to get my cup of Joe. However, since I had to be at work by 5 AM (when Starbucks opens) I had to seek another alternative and was going to Dutch Bro's on Milwaukee as it is open 24 hours and a just a bit out of the way for my drive to work. If you have ever visited one of their establishments, super hyped up on caffeine, overly friendly, very talkative, and loud music is always playing. In the past that had always put me off, outside you don't care for small talk especially when I've just woken up in the morning. When I made the switch to Dutch, and had to rise and shine with only a few hours of sleep each night and pull a very long day I found these attributes to be, helpful, and get me pumped up for my day. Also I was pleasantly surprised when I learned that they had a punchcard program, where you buy 9 drinks and the 10th is on the house. I was getting more bang for my buck was a quad shot coconut milk latte at Starbucks was over $7 (I prefer almond milk however Starbucks does not offer it and they up charge for any dairy substitution, I don't do dairy) At Dutch Bro's I was able to get a quad shot almond milk latte for $5.25. The coffee is high-quality and the drinks are made exactly to your specifications. With locations scattered throughout the city you never have to travel far to find your coffee place. This particular location is always busy, but the stuff goes the extra mile and comes out to the vehicles waiting in line to take your order, which I think it's a sign of respect for our time as customers. With Starbucks you could sit in line upwards of 15 minutes or more depending on the day and time that you went. I highly recommend you give this or any other of Dutch's locations a try if you have not already done so, it's excellent service, it's excellent coffee, and it's at an excellent price. read more

I am in a love triangle with Dutch Brothers and Starbucks.. there I've said it. Dutch Brothers won part of my heart last summer for their splendid cold drinks. Their set pricing makes them comfortable because you always know how much your beverage will be. This location is a mere 2 blocks from my place of employment. Co workers and I happily danced around the construction site while walking on break knowing it was coming! Even though it took a bit longer than planned, it was worth it as this is the FIRST Dutch Bros. in the Treasure Valley to offer indoor seating. They also have a gnarly firepit in the outdoor seating area. Drinks are the quality I've come to love (and expect) the staff are always upbeat and friendly and the music is always thumping. I've spent this Winter sampling the hot beverage options at Dutch Bros, and for now the Chai has me on it's hook. I'm excited to see what the future holds for Dutch Bros, and happy to have them in my area. read more

So I love Dutch bros because it's just such a great atmosphere and the people who work there are all really nice. Every time I celebrate one of my friends birthdays we come here, also their prices are amazing. The only reason I gave it 4 stars though is because I ordered their monthly drink the "Picture Perfect Frost" today and I was so excited to see how it tasted. I got home around 4 and started to finish it but then a couple minutes after my stomach started hurting and I didn't see why because I wasn't drinking it fast and I have never had a problem with coffee. I started throwing up and even now at 12:20 am my stomach still hurts and I have tried almost everything to get rid of it. WEll...I went to Dutch Bro's on my birthday. The day before I had gone to a dog park and I had my car burglarized and my purse stolen with my ID, and I needed to go to DMV after to get a copy.
