    Iced almond milk vanilla latte

My husband and I tried out Dutch Bros drive thru today. The service was relatively quick despite there being a line. They had it together with a person taking orders outside. They have a wide variety of beverages on their menu with good choices. There really is no ambience because it's a drive thru with a few outdoor tables around front at the walk up window. The servers were friendly. I was not that impressed with the beverages though. I ordered an iced almond milk vanilla latte and it was just okay and kind of chemical taste to the syrup. My husband ordered a Palm Beach and said it was pretty good but it just tasted average when compared to similar drinks at other coffee shops.

First time visit - 5 star service, the person who took my order in the drive through was super friendly and the same with the girl at the window. Little bit longer wait, but someone took my order with an iPad while in line before I got to the actual window so it didn't feel like as long of a wait. Heads up - their nitro cold brew is from a can (only reason I gave 4 stars) since I didn't find that out until after I had already ordered and paid. Overall good experience.

Driven through twice now, both times my order was on point. (Mocha Hot w/Oatmilk) If you like a nutty/fruity coffee bean, you will like this coffee. All menu items medium in size and decently priced around $6 Reason for only 4 stars...wait time in drive thru was not dealt with efficiently, nor did the staff seem to care much about. There were two lines, combining to one with around 10 cars, this was on a Tuesday around 1pm. Cannot imagine how backed up it may be during rush hours

This is my go to soda shop around the kc metro area! It's new to our area and I think it's going to be a huge hit. The kids working here are always so happy and excited to be talking to you. They all offer great suggestions if you are feeling adventurous. They don't have many food options but a solid choice is their lemon poppyseed muffin top. I could have one of those everyday and never get tired of it. The shop has a nuanced retro feel to it when you drive up. The workers are taking orders on their feet quickly and get you in and out of the drive thru in less than 5 minutes even with those long lines.

As a Dutch Bros fan, I knew I'd eventually hit up this new location in Kansas City area after hearing they opened a couple of weeks ago. As always, drinks are spot on! I ordered a small campout freeze with extra espresso, and my friend ordered a medium Sweater Weather White coffee chai. The lady in the drive thru was very friendly, but you could tell she was still getting used to the POS system on their tablets as she was having some trouble getting it to work for her when we were ordering. If you visit this location, please be patient with the employees as they are still learning, and the store hasn't been open very long yet. As soon as our order was put in we got our drinks very quickly! So glad to see a location on the KS side that is more centralized than the Legends spot, I will definitely frequent this one on the weekends!

The egg sandwich is my go-to and highly recommend! The desserts are also fresh and i've never had experienced a dessert that was stale which is nice. The cold brew is also great! Everything flows. It's organized chaos done right. The seasonal drinks are consistently creative and actually good. Not just pretty for Instagram. Balanced, thoughtful, and well executed. And the bakery? Dangerous. The display case is pure temptation. Cinnamon rolls, pecan twists, danishes, cookies, scones. Everything looks like the right choice, which makes choosing impossible. They also have solid brunch plates and sandwiches if you're trying to pretend you're here for something other than sugar and caffeine. Now for the one miss. I ordered the pepper jack breakfast burrito, and unfortunately, it didn't live up to the rest of the experience. Flat flavors, mushy texture, no real identity. The hot sauce was doing most of the work. It felt out of place in a spot that clearly cares about quality. Thankfully, the bakery and coffee saved the day. The pecan twist was flaky, buttery, and just sweet enough. The seasonal latte with cold foam was smooth, balanced, and dialed in. Overall, McLain's is a Kansas City staple for a reason. Efficient, welcoming, and consistently good at what they do. One menu tweak away from being near-perfect. Solid 4-star spot. Would happily come back.

Maybe it's the former barista in me, but I just never know what I'm gonna walk into. I was bit extra hesitant as I knew from reading reviews that this place was a bit off the beaten path, and as I routed myself there and found my car meandering through a suburban office parking lot maze I became even more nervous about my plan to work from here. All of that being said, once I got close to the coffeeshop itself I saw a sign clearly visible from the lot which was my first breath of relief. The signage is spectacular for a fairly hidden spot. Yes, you need to know it's here, but you will find it rest assured! If you don't see the sign keep hunting. The nice thing about it being in an office park is that there is ample parking. I was able to park and walk right in. The inside is modern but inviting, and at 9am I was able to have my pick of the tables. The day I was there was nice and I had my laptop so I went outside to their patio. I worked out there for about an hour and when I came inside to take a video call it was packed! I was able to snag a table and purchased a sparkling water before using their wifi (which was great!). Now to the coffee - I had a dirty chai and it was honestly wonderful. No notes. The baristas were friendly and overall I had a great time. Adding this to my list of great work spots in JOCO.
