They have various cup size options, I went with the 40 oz Large. If you go into the store, there are mini disposable cups for you to sample the tea - unlimited samples! I got 2 teas for me and my husband to share - blueberry green and rootbeer (!). They also have free fruit add in's - lemon, orange, lime and maraschino cherries. Cost for two large teas during their happy hour (2-4 pm) was $3.98. That's about 60 cents more per tea than quick trip, but you get more fun flavors and fruit add-in's. Great selection of sweet and un-sweetened options, and even some "secret menu" options. Sonic's happy hour for a large is $1.44, but fruit add-in's would be extra. I didn't try their coffee options, but nice to see those as well. Keep supporting our Gardner HTeaO!

I especially enjoyed the experience of picking out my own tea, weighing it, and labeling it myself--it felt much more personal and relaxed compared to the usual rush and chaos at the market. That was definitely a highlight for me. I also tried their mango peach topper smoothie and added chamoy and Tajín--honestly, it was so good. I definitely should have gotten a larger size because the regular just wasn't enough. That drink alone is worth coming back for. The only downside was the customer service. The staff member I interacted with wasn't very knowledgeable and wasn't able to answer my questions. At the market, I'm used to staff being helpful and able to guide me through different teas and their benefits, but here, most of my questions were met with "I don't know" or "I don't work with the teas." She did point me to a section on the wall with some information about the teas and their benefits, which was helpful to a point. However, there was one term that appeared on several teas that wasn't explained on the wall, and she wasn't able to clarify it. I ended up looking it up myself, which wasn't a big deal for me--but I can see how that could be frustrating for someone new to loose-leaf tea who's relying on staff for guidance. Overall, a nice location with a more relaxed and personal shopping experience, but improved staff knowledge would make a big difference.

I grabbed an iced, unsweetened, black tea with some passion fruit popping boba. It was very good. The tea was strong but not bitter. A good brew. I was very happy about the self serve teas. They have a nice selection I was very excited by the fact that they carry Pu-erh which is not found in a lot of places. It's a very robust black tea. And they had regular and two flavors. I wound up picking out 4 to try but then my boyfriend pointed out the sign painted on the wall that if you buy 5 ounces, you get 1 oz free. I thought well, I'll just grab 1 more and get a free oz since there were a couple more I wanted to try. When I went to pay at the counter, I was told that was an old sign painted on the wall and there is no such deal anymore. It's literally a huge sign right where you measure out your bulk tea. It should be removed because I wound up buying 2 extra teas I would have waited on if I hadn't thought there was a deal. I probably should have argued more about it but the store was about 15 minutes from closing and it was obvious the young woman running it was ready for us to leave. The shop is cute but the false advertising really brought down my review. I hope they will get that changed so others don't have the same disappointing experience.
