First I asked if we could waive the fee if I still used him to do the work after the lid is removed by someone else. He declined to do so. Then I asked for an invoice for the fee before I paid it, he told me they aren't able to provide invoices -- "we only bill." After refusing to pay until I received an invoice, he called me a liar and threatened to place a lien on my property. After explaining to him I would not be paying without a written invoice (he wanted me to hand him cash), he called his assistant, and she emailed me an invoice within minutes. As soon as I received the invoice, I wrote him a check. He then accused me of planning to cancel the check. At that point, I told him to leave my property. Despite telling him repeatedly to leave, but he didn't make any effort to move toward his truck until I told him he was trespassing. I recommend no one ever use Payless Septic Service.

My first experience with this company was great, but all of the follow up has been TERRIBLE. I…read morehave it all documented and it is undeniable. I waited 6 months just for a quote to do work. I followed up two times and received no response. When I finally did get a response on the 3rd attempt, they supposedly had no record of ever being at my house, yet there was a text message exchange from April 18th in the same text message thread of them confirming an employee was on the way. They then asked me to do their job for them and tell them when the employee was there and what they were supposed to quote. Magically, it took them 2 minutes to deliver the quote via text! Only problem, they didn't quote everything they were supposed to quote. Seriously, this is not difficult, I am literally trying to give you business and you cannot give me a quote for what I asked for in an effective manner? I am trying to do business with what I thought was a nice, local, family owned operation, but apparently they did not take the business 101 class. I called again and asked for a complete, accurate quote to be emailed to me like any normal, professional business should be able to do. The lady again acted like she had no clue who I was and said she was going to look it up after gathering the same info from me that I had previously given to her multiple times. Once she found the information, she texted me back to say she had quoted me for the job....again...you quoted me for half of the job, not the full job. Pay attention to what I am telling you. I am trying to give you business for MORE than what you are even quoting, yet you cannot comprehend basic requests or produce a professional, thorough quote via email. It is sad because I feel like this is a good business with good people, but they lack in details and in the capacity to run daily operations in a way to where they know what is even going on. Sorry, but I tried...and tried...and tried... to give you business, but your own ineptitude (you might have to look this up to know what it means) failed you. Good luck...I will talk to some of your employees who will tell me what is really going on there.

They cleared it out and treated my family with great respect (including our autistic 21-year-old, who kept saying hi). Our dogs were antisocial, but the guys from Hopper Septic & Excavating were amazing. I would highly recommend them and will be happy to use them again!

My sewer pipe was clogged with tree roots. A guy from Mowery came and cleared the line that night…read moreand another man was scheduled to come with a camera the following day. The next day the water was again not draining and instead pouring out through my outside clean out. I called and was told the guy would come with the camera. He came and said he couldn't get the camera in. Then he tells me that I need to replace the entire pipe all the way to the main sewer line. He quotes me $14K and quickly tries to get me to finance a loan. I cannot afford $14K let alone the payments that would come with a loan for that amount! I called Hopper Excavating for a second opinion. They came out jetted the line then the next day ran a camera to pin point where the roots were. They used a special cutting tool and cut out the roots and made sure the line was clear. They told me to use copper sulfate in the pipes a couple times a year to kill any roots that might get back in. Total charge $500 I cannot help myself but think Mowery was trying to get me to spend the most money possible for something that didn't have to be done. The guys at Hopper operate with integrity. They are honest, trustworthy and most importantly don't screw over their clients. I will never call a different plumbing company!!!

Didn't even offer to come out and take a look to see if we had a clog or if we needed our tank emptied. My husband called Johnson's late on a Saturday, the lady that answered the phone was very sympathetic and helpful. They showed up bright and early the next day (Sunday). Had us fixed up quickly with no issues. The guys that came were nice and very polite. We were shocked at the price, we were expecting it to be way more. We will call them again!!!
