Washington state , and Diablo Burger
    Justin O.

Food was good and the service was fast We were seated close to the kitchen so the food was still hot. I got the Diablo Burger Gf got the Washington burger Both came with cheese served à mode We had to get sweet potatoes fries separate . I am more use to getting the combo or the basket meals. The fries were nice and salted just right. The place was a bit out of the way for me so I don't know when I will be back. Finishing off with a couple beers.

    Wings (DT spicy buffalo)

We were in Duvall recently and decided to have an early dinner at Duvall Tavern. They have a great outdoor seating which was a huge draw for us on a good day. We got Wings (DT Spicy Buffalo), Veggie Burger, and a side of fries. The Veggie burger was great, Wings were good, not as spicy as I hoped for. The fries were amazing, some of the best I have had in a long time. The service was great.

Set in a cute picturesque town over a charming little bridge Whistle Stop Tavern sits in a row of businesses. They are known for their fried chicken & jojos so of course we had to order some of that! We had 7 ladies who had been grazing all day up at the hot springs on charcuterie & various other snacks we packed with us but after an hour long downhill hike in the cold November PNW weather we were ready for some hot food. We also ordered each of their wing flavors. BBQ, Buffalo & Lemon Pepper, plus a large house salad. The fried chicken was very tasty. We could see from the bar that they use a pressure fryer, so it keeps the meat juicy & the exterior crisp. You get a half of chicken cut up in pieces in one order, 1 drum, 1thigh, 1 breast & a wing. It was perfect for sharing. Super casual as it is a tavern with lots of bar & table seating. They also have a pool table(FREE pool Monday nights) & of course big screens for sports watching or MTV videos were actually playing when we were there. Charming spot with a nice bartender & even nicer regulars. A table of locals asked us where we were going to have dessert at & told us about the Pie Dive Bar...they said we MUST give it a try, so WE DID! If you're ever in Skykomish, WA stop by Whistling Post Tavern for some tasty chicken...they have fried seafood too, & drinks.

Once finally given a menu I attempted to order and was immediately informed that those dishes would take a long time to make, and it wasn't worth ordering them. They made no effort to hide their eye rolls and snarky comments while I was there and while I would have enjoyed trying their supposedly delicious fried chicken, I left to find a place more willing to help customers and make the food they claim to offer.

It's at the corner of one of the buildings. Dark, mid sized interior with some cool neon lights and light up marble pattern bar counter. Not very busy when I went at happy hour/dinner time on a Friday night, but the place is busier later at night on Friday/Saturday during the warmer months. Sometimes they have events and DJs. Sat at the bar and tried out some happy hour specials. Got the Korean sauce wings ($12) and cheese truffle fries ($8). Decent amount of fries, definitely has cheese flavor but not that much truffle oil aroma. I liked the wings which you get 6 per order. They weren't fried, but rather tender and juicy. Sauce was agreeable. Definitely enough food for my dinner. As for the drinks, I got the rosemary mule which is Moscow mule with some rosemary herb. The copper mug they use is good sized. Tasted refreshing although could feel the alcohol afterwards. Also tried a corpse reviver no. 2, which was a little sweet but has a punch. Cocktail prices are not cheap outside of happy hour, in the upper teens. Overall, was glad I tried the place out. Will drop by for happy hour once in a while.

The service was fast and courteous and so very friendly! The atmosphere is kind of boho and family at the same time, which is super cool. The food was absolutely divine. My son had the denver omelet and am I've pancake, it was perfectly made and delicious. My husband had the biscuit with mushroom gravy, which was a twist on traditional biscuits and gravy and was really phenomenal. I went for the corn beef brisket. When I tell you that is the most tender corn beef.I have ever had.It melts in your mouth like butter. The dish altogether was beautifully done and the creamy horse radish sauce just topped it off perfectly. If you haven't yet, you've got to try this place.

The cafe is loud - uncomfortably so, such that I couldn't hear my missus well. If you want quiet conversation, this is not your stop. Let's start with the one item that was good - the pancake side had great fluffy texture and a delicate sweetness. Nice! The egg scramble was chock full of goodies but the cheese (sub'd in cheddar) was sprinkled as an afterthought and not fully melted. Hashbrowns were super crisp as I like them but my missus's were the opposite, limp and not fully cooked inside. The main reason for only two stars is that there was a taste that permeated both of our dishes. It drove me nuts trying to identify it, then suddenly - soap! Mixed with an antiseptic quality. She tasted it too. I'm not stating it was actually that, but that was the subtle lingering taste we experienced. The cardinal sin was the coffee - bitter as can be. I drink mine black but not even a healthy dose of creamer could improve it. I walked to the nearby coffee house later to get a proper cup. The bill was $50 for two. I'd gladly pay that across the way at the brewery that serves a delicious weekend breakfast. I want this place to succeed but they have a ways to go.
