DuvallTavern has a great happy hour. Fresh tap beers and yummy food at great prices. Service can be hit and miss but when it's good, it's great! Love sitting on the patio on a warm day. One nit picky thing I don't like is they charge for sauces. If you order chicken strips, I don't think it should be 50c for bbq sauce. Just seems unnecessary. I much prefer the burgers served here to the ones over at the Duvall Grill, plus the prices are a little more reasonable. The onion rings are fantastic. There's not a lot of room for big groups, and when the weather is bad, they lose half their seating capacity (which is on the outdoor patio). However, it's a great place to grab some pub food and a beer, watch some sports, or even play a game of pool on the table in the middle of the bar. Surprisingly family friendly. read more

Don't let the dark exterior scare you. Sure, the faux rock wall surrounding the entrance looks more like a haunted house ride at your local fair, but once you get past this, you enter into a well lit (but not too bright) interior that has all the charm you'd expect and want from a tavern. There was a band playing and the place was filled with an eclectic mix from suits to shorts and everyone was friendly and having a good time. The beer was cold, the staff was warm and all in all, a great time. I understand this is a tavern, but if it served alcohol I would have given this place six stars. The WORST service I think I've ever had and I'm a server myself. A girlfriend who has spent her entire life in Duvall and I went here for a bite to eat last night after work. It was about 7 something. The place wasn't packed and plenty of tables open. We sat at a table in the bar and waited no joke 20 minutes before we finally got service not to mention rude service. I can't remember her name but she had blonde hair. It was as if our server hated us before we even ordered anything. I can't even count how many times she walked by us avoiding eye contact. There was a table to came in after us who got their beers from her before us and there was a raffle going on but we never got tickets from her either. When we needed to leave we asked for boxes and our check but she never came with our checks so we had to ask another server for them. I've been coming to Duvall Tavern for years and loved it! I came in with my fiancé recently and received the worst service. My fiancé was walking back from the bathroom with his mask on and noticed his friends over at a table and stopped to say hello. He took his mask off and one of the bartenders felt the need to yell and scream across the room, while stomping and clapping to tell him to put his mask back on. Being a frontline worker, I understand the importance of wearing a mask and support it. I would never ever yell at a patient who came in to the ER and caused a scene. I would kindly ask them to put on a mask. We decided to leave after only being there for five minutes, and the bartender came over and asked us if wanted anything before leaving. I explained to her I was not impressed with the service and how she treated us. She proceeded to say she has been dealing with drunk people and them not wearing a mask. I said as a ER nurse regardless to how patients treat me, I show them all respect. She proceeded to be rude and justify why it was okay to yell across the bar. I think an apology would have gone a long way. If never had this problem before. Sad to see this is how they treat their customers, and no other staff member there said anything. read more

I've tried this tavern 3 times, none with success. The last time I was in it was a disaster. We to the server we had only an hour, plenty of time for a burger and fries. First I asked if I could have the corn beef on a bin instead of bread they said no. After 45 minutes and watching people who came in after U.S. Get served, and we still hadn't, we Asked for it to go and our check. 15 minutes later still nothing. We had a meeting to attend so at that point we got up and left. The first two times i visited it took way to long to get our food. I'm sorry to say I won't be back. read more

I only came here once back in the day before they remodeled the place. The old Tavern had its charm, but was kind of a dive. The new Tavern is much nicer and the food is Fantastic! I was blown away by the reuben and truffle oil fries! I brought my parents here when they were in town to visit and they couldn't stop talking about the burgers they had (believe it was the WA burger). This is going to provide some stiff competition for the other similar establishment in town (we won't say the name of it, but rhymes with Blueball Chill...) ;-) read more

I finally got a chance to check out the tavern following the remodel. They did a fantastic job remodeling! The outside seating is really nice. The food was not very good unfortunately. The burger was very dry and the tomato soup was awful. The service was okay in that we didn't have to wait, but it was not exactly friendly. I think we will come back and try again as it is a new business and still getting on it's feet...hopefully I will be able to give more stars then. read more

Not only is this place set with the beautiful backdrop of the farms and nostalgic main drag of Duvall, but the food is truly and honestly amazing. This is not your standard bar food fare. I would liken the food to a fine dining experience with none of the pretentious atmosphere of fine dining. They have a full bar (beer and hard alcohol), weekly and daily fresh specials, and incredibly personal staff. We sat outside on the new patio and loved it. Our waiter Andy made us laugh and was very attentive without being pushy. The star of our experience was the food though. It is amazing!!!! Everything is fresh and made in house down to the salad dressings (the ranch dressing is so good that I want to bathe in it). The burgers were delicious and cooked to perfection. This is the 3rd or 4th time that we got take out. The first 3 were good. Tonight was a complete FLOP- There was nothing on my wife's burger, just meat and bun. She bit into it and found that it was raw. The bun on my burger was hard and stale. I won't return anytime soon. Not the biker bar it once was. Food is pretty good, with the notable exception of their incredibly bizarre take on "nachos" (roux-based sauce?!). Unfortunately this has gone downhill drastically. The last 3 times my family and I have gone here for dinner, it usually takes 2 hours to get food and drinks and that's after asking over and over and over and over and over for your food that is not how you order it or the drinks that never came. Usually your food never comes or your drinks that are wrong. The worst part is that the servers are not even apologizing for anything, they act like it's normal ( which is sad) they make you feel like your bothering them or inconveniencing them. Thought we would give this place another chance after about a year after a bad experience. Upon entering was told to sit anywhere. Chose a spot outside. Person brought our menus but said I'm not your server....no water, no drinks -sitting outside in sun. Sat for Bout 10-15 minutes....nothing!. The hostess, person who gave us menus, and The server -all standing around doing nothing. It was a slow evening on a Friday. We finally just got up and left, No comment as we pass these morons -seemed fine with losing business or were oblivious to business walking out the door. Went down to Duvall Grill... Awesome joint!! Love all the changes! My family was happy with everything for the most part. The kids grilled cheese was a little greasy. Good cold beer from the local brewery including stuff from Woodinville. Service was great and we received our food quickly. I will definitely be dreaming about the Truffle Fries. YES!!!!! I am in-love with the Duvall Tavern and their food! Got take-out from here finally (baby+teething=parents who can't eat in restaurants) and it was amazing! The chicken fingers were nice and crispy yet moist inside and just delicious. The fries and tots were also like little deep fried bites of heaven. The wings are very good as well (and being from Buffalo, NY I don't just toss that around, you gotta earn my wing respect), my husband started moaning in pleasure when he ate his first one. I picked my food up at the bar and I was so jealous of everyone getting to enjoy sweet, sweet cold alcoholic beverages inside. I enviously watched them sipping their drinks, knowing I was going home to the screaming, teething baby. But at least I was getting to eat something tasty for dinner from the Tavern, thank goodness they offer take-out! I'll be back to eat (and drink) in person soon. YUMMY!!! read more

Terrible. They add BAR food to the menu every other week, and leave restaurant food on the menu. Either be a restaurant or a bar. You think they have something on the menu tat was on it last week, order drinks and the waitress tells you after you order drinks that its not on the menu anymore. Never going back. read more

I went to try out their food the other day because our clients at Princess Nails recommended it to us and the place is right across the street to our shop. I've got to say that their french fries are soo good!! They're super crunchy and has so much flavor. I got the Tavern Burger and my friend got the Washington State Burger. It was better than what I expected. I asked for the some of the extras but they didn't add it to my burger but its okay because the burger was tasty. Stacy was our server and she was amazing! She's super nice and checked up on us while my friend and I were waiting. Even though I think that this place is a little pricey, I think its worth it for what you're getting. I just think that the drinks shouldn't be $2 but $1.50 or something. The other thing is that they should give more ketchup and other sauces cause that isn't enough lol. But I will definitely be coming back! read more

4th try - 4th strike. I really wanted to see the New and Improved Duvall Tavern make it, but it has stumbled from the beginning and just can't seem to get better. Tried it the first week they were open and it took my wife and I 10 minutes just to get someone to acknowledge us so we could order a drink. After we ordered our food it was another 45 minutes and the quality/taste was mediocre at best. Wrote it off to new staff, new menu, new restaurant, etc... Came back a couple months later with friends. Again, a long wait just to get someone to even take our order for drinks. Getting refills on drinks proved frustrating and finally left after 2 drinks each in an hour and a half. My wife and I again tried it several months later and sat outside on the patio. We sat down at an empty picnic table in the main flow of traffic. Over to the side we saw one of the owners(?) whom we had seen on a prior visit going in and out of back offices and the kitchen and bar areas. He was apparently with family and friends having dinner. My wife and I sat there for 15 minutes with servers passing by us numerous times and the owner(?) looked over several times at us. No one ever stopped to greet us or give us a menu. I finally had to stop a server and ask if anyone was serving our table. She apologized and took our order. Again, a long wait for the drinks (beer) to arrive and then again, no service. We got up after 45 minutes, paid for our 1 drinks and left frustrated. This week, a friend who is also a business owner in town suggested we go for drinks and dinner. Duvall Tavern seemed like it was worth a try again - hot summer night, sit outside - we arrived at 6:15. Our server was hustling her *** off and finally about 6:45 we ordered food. 45 minutes later at 7:30, after seeing some customers who had arrived much later than us getting their food and others looking frustrated that they hadn't been served theirs, my friend became frustrated and suggest we 'just walk'. I wanted to stay to see how long it would take. Finally at 7:45 - ONE HOUR after we'd ordered our food, I told him the next time I saw our server I was canceling our order and leaving. 5 minutes later a kid walked out with our food. Mine had the wrong salad dressing so the kid had to go back and get the correct one. Our server showed up a couple minutes later and apologized profusely. I explained it had been just over one hour and she said "I know, I'm sorry - I took the food off your bill". I had the Pineapple Teriyaki burger and it was 3 out of 5 stars. My friend had the Reuben and said it was "basic, plain brown type bread and thick cut meat'. Normally a Reuben would be a marbled type bread and usually toasted with thin tender meat. His comment: "I'll never be back". It's too bad - this seems like it could be a fun small town bar/restaurant, but it just can't seem to get the food or speed of service right. If you're gonna go, as another reviewer suggested, stock up on food before you go - it could be a long wait. Hoping for better. read more

The place for a cold beer, great people, excellent music, and friendly staff! When we went, Jesse was rockin as the karaoke DJ and he even joined in for a few numbers!
