Went to Dyane's for the first time yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised. Was looking for something sweet to bring to an event and I found it. Dyane's has so many sweet treats and it's a great place to get the supplies if you want to make your own candy. They have a whole section of molds and melting candy. They also have a wide selection of candy embellishments for your cakes or creations. I purchased a several things and took pictures of more. Chocolate - I got a half lb for $10.00 and had well over 12 pieces to bring to my event. The chocolates were very good and well received. I recommend the white chocolate/ raspberry one. It was different and nice. Cupcakes- I ordered a lemonade cupcake and peach amaretto cupcake, just on a whim to taste their cakes. They use a heavy frosting that I didn't love and the cake was dry. It was the end of the day, so perhaps they had been sitting out all day but for a first time buyer, that's not good. I love cupcakes and have pretty high standards and I will not be ordering cupcakes from Dyane's. Candy - if you are looking for a place to get original homemade treats for an Easter Basket. Come to Dyane's. They have so many cute options and relevantly affordable. I even saw bunny cookies in a stick. So cute. Staff- the staff here is wonderful. Very personable and friendly. To start, the location is easily accessible on Mendon Road with decent parking out in front. Inside there's a slew of different desserts and baked goods available a la cart, and a full bakery in the back where they make all their products fresh for the day. This was the bakery that made the wedding cake for my sister and brother-in-law's wedding. The owner is someone we've known over the years growing up, so it was only fitting to use this establishment for the big day. I thought the process was fairly smooth. Beginning from the tasting and finishing off with the final product. Dyane was generous with her time allowing us to ask many questions throughout the whole process. She's been in the business for a while so she offered many options and outlined how the full making and delivery of the cake would happen. The cakes are really well made with lots of different flavor options. Not sure what brand of ingredients she carries - but whatever it is - it tastes top notch! One gripe was when we had dropped off the wedding toppers. Dyane accepted the two pieces to the topper, but during the time of delivery we noticed only one part of the full topper had made it to the final product. This was disheartening given that the topper was custom made. After the wedding, I went back to return the cake stand and asked about the missing topper piece. Dyane reported that she never received the second piece - but I know that I delivered and handed it specifically to her. In the end there wasn't much that could be done. I would recommend to document a clear inventory of what is being dropped off (via pictures) since much of it is paper documentation. Enjoy the treats! read more

My husband and I ordered our wedding cupcake cake from here in June 2014. It was delicious and we received so many compliments. The cake had decorated tiers, 3 flavors of cupcakes, and a top cake we'll remove from the freezer on our one year wedding anniversary this summer. We provided our own cake topper. I was pleased to see dyane's has instructions for freezing and thawing that cake. I went back with my sister-in-law and niece recently for Easter cooking supplies. The candy making foods were delicious. A bit pricier than the grocery store and craft stores, but there are some very unique items and the quality is great. It's worth the extra price. read more

So, I had recently bought some french macaroons for my sister in completing the Miss MA pageant. I had a hard time finding legit french macaroons that were tasty, fresh and had the right texture. Let me tell you, these french macaroons are TO DIE FOR. The woman I ordered them from, Christine, gave me three flavors to choose from. The flavors were lemon, raspberry and strawberry champagne. All of the flavors sounded so good that I decided to order all three of them. The flavors were so vibrant and the texture of the cookies were near perfect! And, if there is a specialty mold you want/need, chances are they can order if for you. Don't be afraid to ask for "adult" molds too; they have a great selection...great for bachelor/bachelorette parties. They can also make the candies for you. Things like chocolate covered Oreos, chocolate pops, chocolate covered apples...and many, many more things. I've heard they're excellent for wedding cakes & gourmet cupcakes as well, though I can't speak from experience as I've never tried them. Lastly, at any time, you will find an array of tasty treats ready made. From fudge, to bonbons, chocolate covered bacon, cupcakes, pies, cookies, marzipan, etc. I always have luck looking for last minute stocking stuffers or Easter basket treats. I went to Dyane's Saturday for a tasting after seeing them at a bridal show and being referred to them by a coworker. The cakes are beautiful and delicious. The staff was very friendly. We ended up signing our contract and giving our deposit that day. We worked with Michael who was awesome, he helped me figure out how to get exactly what I wanted. He wasn't pushy and even said we had time if we wanted to go home and think about it. We were so pleased with the customer service, quality and prices that we wanted to secure our date. I got married in Mass but I had to plan everything from Colorado. I contacted numerous stores from recommendations from family and the venue where we had our reception at. I flew back 1 time before wedding to do the cake testing and it was great. Dyane was so helpful and her cakes were delicious! Everyone raved about the cake at our reception and it was so beautiful. We just celebrated out 1 year anniversary (October 12, 2014) and had our cake shipped from Mass to Colorado (it was in my Granny's freezer). After living in Cumberland for over 20 years, I am ashamed to say I only discovered Dyane's a few weeks ago. I'm not sure why I always assumed it was a where people took classes on cake decorating and baking but that they did not sell any of these goodies...silly me. My mom and I stopped in one weekend afternoon after noticing an advertisement for gourmet cupcakes. Seeing as we were having a small get together, we thought getting some would be a nice gesture. They had many different flavors to choose from and they all looked delectable in the display case. To our dismay, we found the cake portion to be pretty lackluster, a bit dry and not very flavorful. The frosting was good but we probably won't be returning specifically for the cupcakes again. I enjoyed peeking at the wedding cakes on display. They were gorgeous. I just hope they taste a bit better than those cupcakes did. Dyane's also sells cute gift items and cards. I have returned a few times for small gifts and cards since my initial visit and have not left disappointed. The employees are always very friendly and chatty. I have never felt so uncomfortable as I did walking into this store. The staff was downright rude. They made me feel as if I was inconveniencing them! I am having a small intimate wedding at a very upscale ie: expensive, Newport, ri venue. He made me feel as though making a cake for me for 75 people wasn't worth his time and effort. He also informed that they have been doing this for 32 years and wouldn't a comodate me for just 75 people. He actually told me he could make me a cake four days ahead and freeze it and I could come pick it up the day of my wedding? Really? If I wanted frozen cake I'd buy a carvel! I saw all the bad reviews and decided I would give them a shot anyway because there are some really good reviews. That was a mistake. I contacted them through their website to inquire about having a cake made for my niece and nephews first birthday. We exchanged multiple messages and a picture of what I would like. I was quoted a price, which was agreeable to me. Next, I inquired about cake flavors and finalize payment. I offered to pay in full, but my message went unanswered. I sent a follow up message to make sure she got my message. Again, no answer. Apparently, she must've decided she didn't want to make the cake. It would've been nice to be informed, rather than ignored. The party is tomorrow and I have a gorgeous cake from somewhere that did want my business, so all is well on my end. I won't be recommending this business to any of my multiple family members in the area tho. I would give less than one star if I could. read more

The funny thing is I was ordering a b-day cake and to see if I wanted to use this bakery for a wedding party, etc coming up - the wedding has a huge budget - let's just say over 7 figures - hand made wedding gown type wedding. This wedding would end up having probably another 10 other parties related to it, bridal showers (yes there are already 3 planned) the bacholarette party, the reheresal dinner, the day after party put on by parents for anybody who travelled for the wedding, plus every family b-day and 50th wedding anniversery coming up in the next year and half. I couldn't believe a place would turn down serving someone when they would never know who that person could be and truthfully, they probably lost out on over 6 figures over the next year just from my family and of course now we will recommend people not to use them. I already had some favorite bakeries in Providence, but they just weren't as convenient and the prices were really high for what I was looking for so I sought out a local bakery for the cake. I am so pleased I chose Dyane's sweet tooth. I provided a copy of the invitation and they instantly did a rough sketch of the layout on the spot for me to approve. The actual cake was just amazing!!!! I couldn't have asked for anything better. I ordered red velvet sheet cake and it was completely moist and delicious. Dyane's Sweet Tooth was a pleasure to work with. Dyane did two wedding cakes ...first one, June 2012, and now June 2013, both beautiful and delicious. First cake was delivered to Newport, R.I., where Michael carefully delivered and decorated the cake at the venue. Very impressive! Dyane was called days before the 2012 wedding and was able to add trays of cookies to the tables without any difficulty. Things went so good we returned for our second wedding June 2013. Once again, the wedding cake was beautiful and delicious. Dyane was able to change the cake colors and add more bling to the cake without any problem just days before the wedding. With all the stresses that can happen with planning a wedding, she made the cake part so easy and helps your dream wedding cake come true.
