I got the chocolate chip cookie dough with butterscotch, white chocolate, and extra milk chocolate chips. You are given the option of 3 toppings to add into your cookie dough. I thought the price for the amount of cookie dough you receive is fair and that the cookie dough was delicious! There is also other desserts out for sale and a Cupcake Vault that was presented by the register as well. The cupcakes looked delicious and there were many flavors presented as well. However, I noticed on the website that there are also supposed to be slices of cake sold as well. I didn't see any at the store, which was kind of disappointing. Pretty standard cutesy cupcake shop. There is a sitting area near the entrance and a couple little areas set up with different homemade treats. What caught my eye the most was the edible cookie dough option with a choice of toppings mixed in (they blend it like coldstone does ice cream). I do have to say their stock was pretty low. I order a half dozen cupcakes and felt bad because we took the last of a couple different flavors. Time of day is 12pm on a Tuesday so I'm surprised they are so low on choices. Stopped in on a whim after seeing all the pictures online. Inside it is very cute and quiet. They had a large selection of cupcakes, the presentation was nice. We tried the cannoli, churro, breakfast bowl and a pancake & bacon cupcake. We also got a cookie dough bowl. All the cupcakes were moist but you could tell that they were not freshly made. Cannoli if I had to say was the best. The drink selection was very limited. I feel they should have better options to compliment the cupcakes. My husband and I decided to find out the sex of our baby, with our family surrounding us. What better way with a gender reveal cake!? I had taken a blood test and asked the doctor to write the gender down on a piece of paper and seal it an envelope. I contacted Brittni as I had heard about and seen her amazing cupcakes and cakes through the Facebook page for "A Piece of Cake". She provided me with some ideas when I indicated I wasn't sure what design I wanted as well as pricing. My husband and I finally settled on a design and provided it to Brittni along with the envelope. I did ask that she open the envelope there to ensure it was legible to which she did and remained very professional and mum about what was on that paper! My husband picked up the cake and I was so excited upon seeing it! It was exactly what we had wanted. He also picked up an array of delicious cupcakes for those with an extra sweet tooth and they all looked delicious. The cake gave away no signs of whether it was colored pink or blue on the inside. Once we cut into it, we were so surprised to see the pink! And to top it off, it was delicious - the cake itself was moist and the frosting was creamy and sweet and I'm not a huge frosting fan and usually eat around it. This place has the best cupcakes in Warwick. I stopped in tonight for a cupcake to celebrate my birthday. They had a bunch of different flavors in the cases, but I chose Pancakes & Bacon cupcake & a S'mores Cupcake to try. The Pancakes & Bacon cupcake was delicious & quite different from your regular cupcake. I haven't tried the S'mores one yet, but the presentation of it is beautiful. I received an automated response that someone would contact me in 24-48 hours. After a week I called the store directly. This place has been hit or miss. The first two times I stopped in the cupcakes were incredible-especially the pancake and bacon flavor. However, I stopped in around Christmastime and all the cupcakes were old and dry. The pancake and bacon cupcake was now topped with a rock-hard dollar sized pancake that you get in the frozen food section of the grocery store. I'm really disappointed. Walked in here just before closing time (partially by accident). I just saw the spot at the strip mall on Airport Road x Post Rd and was intrigued by the name. How can you not go in to a place whose name is "A Piece of Cake"? Let's begin with the ambiance. Cool surroundings (literally, AC is a welcome feeling coming in from an 86F humid weather outside), spartan yet tasteful furnishing, clean and oh-so-smelling-like-(the)-new place that it is, an amiable owner behind the counter. Free wifi. Some coffee on pods available if you feel like hanging out for a bit. Sadly, this day, I didn't see any cake slices. Some cookies and dessert bars. Perhaps partially because it is closing time and it happens to be a Sunday (speculating here). They do have enough cupcake teasers, though. Loved the variety although they are the usual favorites-- peanut butter, cookies and cream, chocolate, red velvet, yellow cake...you know. Well now, here's where the taste will matter. I took a red velvet. Cost me $2.74, and packed in a nice, protective plastic dome. Help yourself to purple napkins, plastic forks and knives if you need them. After 10 minutes, I opened my dome with the treat. Taste test! Sliced into the cupcake...oh no, it was dry with not enough frosting for my taste. Sad face. I expected something more moist with a more luscious frosting. I am still giving this place 3 stars because I haven't gone through all the varieties and cake slices yet. So I have been in this bakery multiple times, the cupcakes are okay, but pricing seemed very reasonable for events and cakes. I have tried on three different occasions to order a custom cake from here. The first time I tried to order it two weeks in advance (which I know was short notice) and the girl on the phone was a little short with me that there is just no way to do it in time, to which I though "fair enough" I then tried to order a cake a month in advance, I reached out to them via email, telephone and their website. I waited over 10 days and hear nothing back from them. When I finally called again saying I tried to get in touch with them earlier with enough time to order it the girl said the owner was coming in later and will call me back. I still have never heard anything. I think it is a pretty rude and unsustainable way to run a business, so if you need anything done in a timely manner do it at a bakery with better customer service and good communication. read more
