I took my car to ABCO, and asked Donny to level with me about whether to sell my car or fix it. It was breaking down every few months, and becoming a money pit for me, and even though I loved the car, I was contemplating getting something more reliable. As a woman without extensive experience in automobiles, I was getting the run-around by other shops who just wanted my money to keep fixing the breakdowns. Donny won my business for life for doing two things. First, he leveled with me and told me that if it was his daughter, he would just get rid of the car and get something safer and more reliable. He didn't want to take my money, only to see me more frustrated the next time it broke down. Second, Donny offered to buy my car as a project car since he could probably fix it and get some use out of it, even with its many issues. I absolutely loved this solution! I got here on Yelp after someone in the comments mentioned Goldsberry's Transmission. I was greeted with a 'hey' & candles that smelled amazing. Sam was & has been of great help. My car hasn't been seen yet because they are a smaller business and have tons of cars however I will keep you all posted. So far...I feel like I'm in good hands. I don't even know where to start. When John called to deliver the bad news and walk me through my options / his recommendations he was so kind and patient, answering every single one of my questions with plenty of detail. The night before, I had left him a voicemail and had mentioned a possible warranty on the engine in passing. He went above and beyond by calling local dealerships and checking (I believe it was) NHTSA to see if there were any active warranties that would cover me. The entire time I felt like this team had my best interest at heart. I know they probably see tons of customers a week, but they made me feel like more than just another job, which meant the absolute world to me. Unfortunately, my best option was to get a new car. While I worked through everything with Hyundai and searched for a replacement, they've let me keep my car on their lot for a generous amount of time, leaving me with one less thing I've had to worry about during this very stressful time. My Car Doc is a masterclass in customer service and I cannot recommend them enough!!!! I have so much gratitude for this team, and I will absolutely be back for any future services on my new car.
