My #24 tooth is now less painful that can be from my hard cookies I ate (Dr. Monina reminded me this eating issue) and this very week and small tooth (1/3 or more less in regular size), Then she warned me last week that whitening using a tray for my teeth will not whiten the crown or filling! What I like is that Dr Yeap introduced to me the floss threader to clean my upper front teeth which are bound together by another dentist and cannot be cleaned by regular floss. She was concerned I may lose my teeth if I do not floss correctly. Other dentists didn't tell me about this floss threader. I really appreciate her so much. Two previous dentists put fear on me by telling me the possibility of infection of my broken tooth to the head and or to the jaw if I do not take it out and get a bridge, a denture, or an implant. After more than a half year since July 2023, there has not been an infection! Praise God! Dr. Man and Dr. Yeap recommended the removal of my broken tooth but didn't scare me of any major infection like other two dentists. Yet, it was painful for the anesthesia shots of my whole gum for a deep cleaning but I bore with it. I prayed, thought, and cried: God, please help me! The environment is clean and comfortable. One doctor claimed I had 7 cavities, which my own dentist never mentioned just a few months ago. The worst part? While I was lying on the chair numbed, the front desk walked in to charge me right there. Felt very unprofessional and pushy. The actual extraction by the lead doctor was fine, but the overall process felt more like a money-making routine than genuine patient care. If you're in urgent pain, it will get the job done, but if you have options--go somewhere else.

I called the office and spoke with Ely who confirmed the details and then I proceeded to make the appointment online. The process was very easy. Upon arriving at the office I was greeted by Brenda who was very nice (not sure what the other reviews about her were about) she sent me a link to complete my patient profile and it took all but five minutes. I was taken back for X-rays and photos of my teeth first and a saliva test which I'm so happy that they did. Everyone at this point had been so nice and caring which can usually be a hit or miss with dental offices. Then I was greeted by Dr. Courtney (USC educated Go Trojans!!!!) who was one of the most pleasant dentists I have ever been with. We had a briefing of my visit and then I was taken to the treatment room. Dr. Courtney then came and went over my X-rays and photos. I had been a previous tobacco smoker for years and knew that my basic cleaning was likely not going to cut it so I had come prepared. Dr. Courtney thoroughly went over the issues and suggested doing a deep cleaning to match my expectations of the visit for the day. She didn't try to upsell me on any additional unnecessary cosmetic services or anything that was beyond the scope of what we spoke about in our briefing prior which really made me feel comfortable. After I questioned cost Ely (who is such a sweet person) came and went over costs with me, everything was transparent, and I had a budget that I was working with. Without having to have a long extended negotiation and without any pressure Ely worked with my budget and came to an agreement. Once the treatment began I was greeted by the RDH Sarah B. Who was OMG so amazing and so knowledgeable about her craft!!!!!! She let me know that she had a meeting and that she would be doing half and Dr. Courtney would come and do the rest. Deep cleanings can be painful I knew this going into it and I didn't even feel the numbing injection that's how great she was. She got straight to work and was a perfectionist which I appreciate so much. Dr. Courtney returned for the second half and also with a perfectionist mindset really went in as gentle as possible and took care of my teeth. They were both so attentive in the process and asked if I needed breaks or if there was pain. Sarah returned to finish the process and when she showed me my teeth I was just amazed. They looked 100x better than what I arrived with! Yes. Pricing is a marginally higher than some dental offices, you just need to have a realistic budget to allow them to work with you. I would also say that the overall team was great and if it helps support the entire team then it's worth it. I will definitely return to them and highly recommend both Dr. Courtney and Sarah B RDH, not only for their knowledge and care but also just for the great energy they gave off during my visit. Turns out She did not verify my insurance so when I got there, she was extremely rude to me. Made me sit down to fill and in front of everybody not even privately told me I need your Social Security number. She wrote it on a piece of scratch paper so I immediately felt weird by writing down my whole number. I didn't understand why she needed it, especially when I handed her my medical card from Mutual of Omaha., she told me Mutual of Omaha does not do dental insurance. Yes they do. She just didn't want to check.. She then proceeds to call the insurer I used to have only to find out that I was not covered through them, which is what I told her that I now had Mutual of Omaha dental again she told me they don't have dental insurance again. I told her they do and handed her my card at this point. I was very upset because all of this should've been verified before I even arrived.. We walked in for a 1 oclock appointment, and was seen at 1 oclock. We didn't sit in the lobby waiting. There was no one in there until we left. We've been there 4 times now (kids needed some cavities filled and we spread it out for time) and each time, no one is coming until we're walking out. They have it DOWN. I appreciate people that respect my time. I hate waiting 30 min to an hour or hour. Arriving on time to sit. The technology in office was very good. The doctor was excellent. Explained everything.
