I was told that a 2D oral photographic image would not result in any additional cost to me or my dental insurance. However, when I later reviewed my insurance explanation of benefits, I saw that my insurance had been billed $346 for that imaging. After noticing the charge, I reached out to Dr. Pardo for clarification. Instead of receiving a straightforward explanation, she responded dismissively. Because Dr. Pardo knew I was trying to make the most of my annual insurance benefits, I was disappointed to see my available coverage used for a service that wasn't necessary. Dr. Pardo later said the imaging was necessary, but then why would the dental hygienist ask as if I wanted it in the first place? I shouldn't have to pay for the lack of communication between Dr. Pardo and her staff. I also called several dentists, and they all confirmed that those specialized images aren't necessary for care. There is absolutely no reason for Dr. Pardo to be dishonest and rude.

In May 2021 my daughter (in her 20's) was in a really bad skating accident. Think skatepark bowl, doing tricks, not sidewalk skating. She had messed herself up so bad. Sitting in the emergency room with her she had one tooth cracked in half, hanging literally from a root and another broken in half, numerous cuts, scraps & lacerations to her beautiful face, a fractured wrist and a major concussion. I was FREAKING OUT and scared for her, she was in so much pain and I knew she was going to loose her two font teeth. While sitting in the emergency room with my daughter I frantically called NINE emergency dentists and left a message with every single one of them! The ONLY dentist to call me back was Dr Mirium, less than 10 min. after I had left a message. She immediately calmed me down & comforted me and reassured me that my daughter would be okay and that she would take care of her right away. Fast forward to today. I never did receive a return phone call from any of those other eight emergency dentists I left messages for. Through This whole process Dr. Mirium has gone above and beyond for my daughter, making sure everything was perfect and comfortable. Calling frequently to check in on her. She's not only given her a gorgeous smile. She has also given back her self esteem and confidence. My whole family now see Dr. Mirium, we wouldn't trust our smiles with anyone else! We are all so thankful for everyone in that office! I hope that my trust, love and respect for them are conveyed in this review! Unfortunately our family dentist retired and I made appointments for us to be seen at Foothill Family Dental Group. While the staff there is friendly, I have never paid so much out of pocket for regular cleanings. We have dual coverage with two different insurance groups, however billing was not clear and "irrigation" was not covered. I also do not feel the "cleaning" was done well. They said we needed "Deep Cleaning" which was never something our regular dentist required. When I did that and went back for the regular cleaning I never saw a dentist, and they simply polished my teeth. My family and I will not be going back... Also be prepared to wait a long time for your appointment! Save your money and do not go here.

The hygienist and dentist were patient, gentle, and took the time to explain each step so both my kids understood what was happening. I'm so glad we found this office. I used to see Dr. Castellanos when I was a kid with my mom, roughly between the ages of…read more12-15(2004-2007). Now as an adult I've realized how horrendous of a doctor he was. Our family eventually stopped seeing him after 3 years of being under his care. We went to him because it was hard to find doctors who spoke Spanish in our area at the time. I'll start with the worst. My mom used to be really concerned for her health. Over time we realized her concerns were signs of what she's now developed, diverticulitis and other digestive issues. She often came in with pain and explained her concerns. Dr. Castellanos would tell my mom that she was fine and to take ibuprofen. Any time she came in it was the same thing even though her symptoms progressed - continue to take ibuprofen. Eventually she told my mom she was too worried and was a bother. We finally stopped going to see him when she used the restroom and found blood in her stool. She developed ulcers in her throat and stomach that were very painful when eating. After we stopped going to see him we found out all of her symptoms were the beginning of diverticulitis. In 2009 she ended up going to the ER because she was heavily bleeding when she used the bathroom. A diverticula had burst open and it was discovered she has 3 total that had developed. She was taken to emergency surgery. She's suffered through diverticulitis ever since with multiple ER visits. Dr. Castellanos was negligent as a doctor when presented with symptoms. He could have referred her to a gastroenterologist but never did. We had HMO at the time and eventually switched to PPO but it was after dealing with him. For my own case, I developed gastro issues around 12 and realized I had sensitivity to certain foods that lead to a lot of gas and odd noises in my intestines. I felt shy about it as a kid but was worried because I didn't want to sit in class having those noises come from my intestines because well... it was awkward. My side of the classroom could hear my gas issues and I didn't understand what was causing it. When I told him he blew me off and told me to eat more fiber. I didn't bother more about it or ask because I was too ashamed to ask more. Years later I realized I had food sensitivities and that I need to be careful to avoid dairy. All of this to say - I would absolutely NEVER recommend anyone to see Dr Castallanos. My mom could have sued him for negligence but decided not to. Seeing him still in practice now and talking to family about health made me 20 years later have to go back to write this.

Review for Arrow Dental Smiles - Covina The dentist and the quality of dental work at Arrow Dental Smiles are excellent -- no question about that. However, the front desk experience seriously tarnishes what should be a great dental office. During my visit, the doctor clearly informed me that all the procedures he performed were covered and that I didn't owe anything. Despite this, the front desk receptionist (Lea) insisted that I make a payment. Even after confirming with the doctor, she chose to ignore his statement and demanded payment anyway, acting as though she had more authority than the dentist himself. I felt pressured, embarrassed, and uncomfortable to argue in public. What's even more concerning is that this issue is not isolated -- many other reviews describe the same unprofessional behavior from the same receptionist. She frequently tries to upsell insurance plans, talks excessively about them during check-in, and gives patients the impression that her main focus is money, not care or service. In summary: Excellent dentist and quality dental work Front desk receptionist is rude, pushy, and unprofessional Repeated pattern of complaints from multiple patients Management should take serious action before more patients are driven away This office has great potential, but the front desk behavior needs immediate attention. Worst dentist i have ever been in my whole life....Do not trust this dr.!!!For people that looking for good dentist on yelp, do not come here unless you want to get ripped off by this unprofessional dentist. From my experience that i have been going to many dentist dr victor rosales is a very bad dentist. He has a hard hand and don't know what he is doing. After going to this office my teeth has never been the same he has a poor practice and charge a lot more than his work.. He can not even do the simple filling!!. There are many many more dentists to choose if you want to take a chance then try... Don't let this people full you most of there review come from there friends and family. Amazing office! I've been going to Dr. Rosales' office since I was young, probably near a decade or so now! The office staff and him never fail to give me the best quality of care. They make me feel like part of the family all the time. Ever since I was little, I've had a phobia of dentists and after going to multiple offices before, I am so glad to have found Dr. Rosales. I can't wait to take my kids to the same office. Warning !!! I made a wrong decision coming here. This dentist is not honest. He act very nice and kind but his experience is not enough to be a dentist. He has a hard hand, he does not know what he is doing. After coming to this place my teeth is not the same as it use to. He overpriced his fees and later try to reduce the fees. If you want to be in pain and get ripped off then try them. Thank god I found other dentist in the area to fix my teeth read more

Dr. Rosales extracted the tooth, performed two pain-free root canals, made crowns and modified my dentures to fit the new configuration. This had never been recommended by any previous dentist I've seen, so I chose to decline the treatment because I wanted to seek a second opinion first. After I declined, I was asked to sign a form. I chose not to sign because I wasn't comfortable doing so. Instead of respecting my decision, the staff repeatedly pressured me to sign, which made me feel very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the experience didn't end there. After I left, I called the office to schedule another appointment, and the front desk staff was extremely rude. The person I spoke with raised her voice and spoke to me in an unprofessional manner. Patients have the right to ask questions, decline treatment, and seek a second opinion without being pressured or treated disrespectfully. I expected professionalism and respect, but that was not my experience. Because of how I was treated, I will not be returning to this office.

We walked in for a 1 oclock appointment, and was seen at 1 oclock. We didn't sit in the lobby waiting. There was no one in there until we left. We've been there 4 times now (kids needed some cavities filled and we spread it out for time) and each time, no one is coming until we're walking out. They have it DOWN. I appreciate people that respect my time. I hate waiting 30 min to an hour or hour. Arriving on time to sit. The technology in office was very good. The doctor was excellent. Explained everything. I recently had a double root canal, and Dr. Walter did a great job on my crowns. He is extremely personable, maintains great communication with his patients throughout the visit. Patient comfort and safety is his number one priority. He's also extremely patient. He listens well. The staff is not only professional, you'll leave feeling like you're a part of the family. They're always smiling, helpful and efficient. Could not ask for a nicer group of people. A little bonus information: I had an impact fracture worked on and filled by Dr. Walter in 2003. I haven't had one problem with the tooth in 2 decades. So, yeah. You're in good hands.

Afterwards, Dr. Chen went above and beyond to explain all the findings on xray and even took pictures of my teeth so I could see what he saw. He showed me areas to watch for and explained why they weren't considered cavities yet. I would recommend if you want an honest dentist who doesn't recommend unnecessary treatments. A+

I basically can't even chew on the left side of my mouth. It's really too bad because when the ownership switched, they didn't even alert patients. I gave it more than a shot, but I will not be returning. I need to find an honest dentist.
