I had heard so many horror stories about root canals that I was expecting the worst. I went in feeling extremely nervous and anxious. But from the moment I arrived, the entire staff was so kind, comforting, and reassuring. Every single person there made me feel supported and kept reminding me that everything was going to be okay. Dr. Cho was absolutely amazing. He was so gentle, calm, and precise throughout the entire procedure. I kept waiting for the pain everyone talks about... and it never happened. I truly didn't feel anything. I was shocked at how smooth and easy the whole process was. He made something I was so scared of feel effortless. His assistant was wonderful as well. They worked together so seamlessly and professionally, making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I do NOT recommend!I was told they were not billing for CT scan that it was part of the exam and they billed my insurance anyway over $700. They billed also for a therapeutic medication that is used for root canals where the root canals where the root is calcified. I did not have a calcified root per my dentist. I am filing a complaint with the dental board, CA state department or insurance and my dental insurance company. If anyone else was over billed for this therapeutic medication please send me a message. Billing for therapeutic medication (such as specialized medicaments or calcium hydroxide) during a root canal when it is not clinically indicated--particularly if the root is not calcified--can be considered dental insurance fraud or unethical billing. If the medication was not medically necessary, not used, or billed separately when it should have been bundled into the root canal fee, it may constitute fraud.Please send me a message if this has happened to you. read more

( actually the insurance is fine- its the Dental office that accept it that are the issue) It seemed like every dental office operated like a band of theives. On the phone, they would say they accepted my insurance. Then after the "consulatation" nothing was covered and thousands required upfront. This office was kind, fast, professional and accepted my insurance. Just to compare, another office quoted me over 3,000- yup $3k!!!- This place I paid $265 for the copay I believe. Yelp 100 Challenge 2019 - # 10/100 I'm glad I got a good dental plan so I only paid $150 when I got my root canal. As any dental procedures go, I'd rather be doing something else but if you can't dodge it anymore this is by far the best place to get it. I've had root canals done way back when and that was very painful both to my teeth and pocket. Dr. Pak was great. He explained the procedure well and his confidence was reassuring. I was there less than 2 hours. My anticipation was worse than the actual procedure. So I am leaving 4 stars due to the fact that my root canal by Dr. Lee was painless. I was a ball of nerves because I never had a root canal before and he immediately picked up on it and was super reassuring. Step by step explanation as well. Now the reason for a star deduction is that the office tried to overcharge on purpose. I knew before the appointment date the procedure codes the dentist was going to use to bill and so then I knew exactly how much was going to be covered by my insurance. So after consult (D0310) is covered 100% by my insurance. The front office lady came to me with my out of pocket (OOP) for todays root canal procedure totaling at $450. Listed price for a root canal at their office, dental code (D3330), is $1,795. My insurance rep let me know this code was covered @ 80% of billed charges. Equaling an out of pocket cost of only $359. Where they got $450 as my amount due. IDK. So after I did my own calculations on my handy dandy cell phone, I asked her. She said "we just rounded it up". Girl, HUH. She said "well we did do a consult and X-rays on you as well, so if for any reason the insurance doesn't pay..." I politely responded that "those are both covered at 100% so I'm not signing this until you fix my amount due". She hastily and kindly agreed to fix it cause she knew I knew my ish. I was $91 dollllas the richer fo it. Basiiicallllllyyy, I'd advise you when speaking with any dental office to get the dental procedure codes and then contact your insurance provider to see exactly who much coverage that code (dental procedure) receives. Never give your SSN out and never buy into the "well the insurance didn't pay all our charges". You are not responsible. If the dental office feels they were underpaid they may file an appeal with your insurance for additional money. You may also ask your dentist to submit your claim prior to you making a payment. They quoted me 800$ out of pocket cost as soon as I turned around to leave it went down magically to 300$! If I can give individual stars on individuals I would because the associate Jasmine went above and beyond to help me understand what went wrong and for the miscommunication was able to refund me $300 out of the $495 I paid out of pocket. She deserves five stars but unfortunately, if I give her five stars I give this place five stars and I won't do that. Please anybody who gets referred to this place by your dentist make sure you read the documents before signing... I repeat do not let them rush you take your time ask questions ask about pricing make sure you get the clear pricing for the full procedure not just the price of the day you go in.. and if you can find another place to go due to budget I would definitely look around don't just come here because your dentist refers you especially if you can't afford the high prices and unfortunately their prices are not budget friendly. Kudos to Rootvision Endo and Dr. John Lee. Luck was on my side when I picked Rootvision Endo from a list of approved Endodontics offices from my dental carrier. First, when calling for an appointment they were able to accommodate me the following day, which could be good or bad, so I went in with some hesitation. The office was very clean, modern with what appears to be the most updated equipment. The office staff was very welcoming And Dr. Lee superb in every way. He explained every step in detail. I went in for a root canal and the entire procedure took no more than 20 minutes. The anesthesia injection and procedure was painless. It has now been 5 hours and the anesthesia has completely worn off and I feel absolutely no discomfort of any kind. Went right back to my normal activities. I got n infection in a tooth that already had a root canal and was referred to Rv Endo. There I met Dr Pak. He was the most gentle doctor that I had ever had do a root canal on my tooth. This was an emergency visit and they got me in right away. I was a little late due to traffic and they treated me like it wasn't a big deal and still gave me A1 service! The dentist was good. The issue is I came with the X-ray that my general dentist gave me. They took another X-ray when I got there, fine. The unnecessary CT scan was a bit much. Funny when they tell you not to move and the Ct scan machine bangs into your hat making your whole head move but it didn't matter. Long story short it maxes out you insurance and takes money out of your pocket. read more

Had to go in for a Root Canal 1st time visiting Root Vision Endo, was surprised how quickly they could get me in. The office staff is friendly & they all work well together & with Dr. Pak. Before my procedure, I was numbed up sufficiently & there was no pain during my root canal. Dr. Pak was conscientious of work done on another tooth the day before, & strived not to cause undo pain to that area. Just a head up though you should bring a jacket as it is pretty cold in the office, they did provide me with a blanket though which was great. read more

I had to do two root canals, the first was done at the Covina office. Everyone who works there is very nice and professional, I have a serious anxiety going to the dentist. Dr Pak was so good good and made me feel so comfortable. After I would guess 2hrs in the chair I was released but dr pak did mention the next one would probably take longer due to the shape and size of my teeth. I followed him to the Montebello office for the 2nd and went just as he said 2.5 hrs in the chair and I was done with that chapter.
