We have used Dynamic Electric five times, in the past four to five years, and the owner (Abe Edam) has always been on the job to either supervise his workers or to do the work himself. In two emergency cases, Abe moved us ahead of existing customer schedules, because of our urgent issues. Our most recent problem was a defective, loud chirping smoke alarm that woke us at 5:20 a.m. and this horrible noise would not stop. Within hours, Abe came to our rescue and installed a new detector, and it turned out that the listed dates on all our other smoke detectors, indicated that they had outlasted their projected ten years life by several years. So, we had Abe also replace all of them to avoid a similar future problem. His prices have always been very fair and the quality of the work topnotch. I give this company and the owner 5 plus stars. Abe is probably the best electrician I have ever met. I needed a Tesla wall charger installed in my garage. We made an appointment for 8AM on Friday. At around 7:30 I received a call from Abe saying that he was running a little late due to traffic. I love getting calls from people informing me of their status. It is professional and courteous. Anyway, he and his crew showed up around 8:15 and sized up the job. It was immediately apparent that this guy knew his business. He scoped it out and got to work. While configuring the job, Abe noticed that the panel was crowded and very messy. Being the perfectionist that he apparently is, he couldn't let the mess stay that way. We needed a 20 AMP breaker installed in an existing panel along with an outlet for our infrared sauna, a 32" TV installed on the wall with a mount that I would purchase , and an additional two outlets. He came to look at the job within 30 min. of my phone request. I wasn't there, but my partner was and thought of him as a standout individual. Without hesitation, he gave him a verbal quote of $675 and asked when he could start. We had another electrician come at their convenience which, embarrassingly, caused them to cross paths. That estimate ($1100) came in written and itemized later that evening. A third estimate came in, site unseen, at $625 with not nearly the reviews that DE had. Abraham arrived spot on time, only two days after we had gotten our estimate, with his assistant, David. Both were highly professional, pleasant, and friendly. When I returned from work the job was complete and left clean. All outlets were cleanly done and looked great. We found Abe on Craigslist after another electrician failed to show up on time for an estimate for extensive electrical work at our recently purchased home. Abe was always punctual for the estimate and every time there after. Our early 1960's home needed a new main panel, GFCIs, grounded outlets or "The Works." Abe stuck to his original estimate, even though along the way he hit some unexpected obstacles. He was very skillful and careful when replacing the outlets and was able to grind the tiles back in order to accommodate larger, modern size boxes. The outlets look like they were always a part of our kitchen and bathrooms. His apprentice Antonio spent some of the hottest days in July and August in our attic and always tackled another trip up there with enthusiasm. I'm pretty sure he must have lost at least a few pounds sweating in the attic. Because of our availability, we could only have Abe and Antonio at our house one day per week. Because of this, we had the privilege of seeing them over 7 Saturdays - bright and early in the morning. Our normally crazy dogs began to recognize Abe and Antonio and be "less crazy" around them. Abe and Antonio always accommodated our furry children. Abe's is a master electrician. At every turn he was able to decipher the spaghetti mess that was our electrical system. He also dealt with the county to obtain the proper permits, and coordinated with SDG&E to install a new mast. He made sure the work was done correctly, safely and up to code. Abe did several jobs for me that turned out great! The first was an undersized electric panel that was replaced with a 150 amp panel, which included pulling permit and working with SDGE. He also checked and replaced several receptacles and fixing electrical issues from a home inspection. All the work was done professionally with no problems and I couldn't be happier. He even came back to check when I had questions about an pool receptacle. The most recent job was replacing both of my bathroom fans. He used the Panasonic whisper quiet fan, which is the best. I just called Dynamic Electric. I explained I need a new service. I asked a few questions then he starting asking me about my roof. He asked me "Is it flat?" Yes, it is flat. "Is it pitched?" No, it's flat. "You mean it's flat?" Yes, it's flat. Then he has to know how old the roof is. I said it is new, why do you ask? He explains that he will make a hole in the roof for the pole. I tell him the pole is called a riser. He wants me to call the roofers back to fix the hole he is going to make in the roof. But he is stuck on knowing how old the roof is. I tell him is only six months old. He got mad and hung up the phone. I am not stupid. I am not a "Barbie" I am a contractor myself. I just don't have an electrical contractor license. read more

I called Dynamic Electric as I had a room in my house that had screwy wiring that the previous owner ignored. Abe called me back right away and scheduled a date/time. They showed up precisely on time (a rarity!) and they fixed that issue pretty quickly; but he mentioned (as I knew) some of the wiring was aluminum and it was spliced incorrectly (didn't know that). I had a few other honey-dos that would have taken me days , so we thought it would be best to go through all of the outlets and switches and replace them with the new style (no more 70's switches and plugs), make sure they are terminated correctly and the honey-dos.
