He knew his stuff and made recommendations that actually made the space look better than what I had originally sketched out. I've had them come out to rewire some switches, install new ceiling fans/lighting fixtures. The technicians they send out have all been very professional and courteous. However, if I have to complain about anything is them sticking to the time of the appointment. Couple of times we set a timeframe for arrival, I've gotten phone calls at least an hour before the time letting me know they are on their way. Luckily both times I was able to call someone to go to the house earlier than planned. We had them install 4 pendent lights in our kitchen, a bathroom chandelier and a stairway chandelier that required scaffolding to get to the 19-foot ceiling. During the install, they sought our input on light placement and height to make sure they installed the lights exactly how we wanted. Well first thing's first. My cat usually hides whenever any visitor comes. I wish I can remember both the installer and quoter's names; on the receipt there's a "J Carlos Pory Burns" signature and I think that's him; or that could have been the guy who did the initial quote. Regardless, Mr installer guy comes in and my cat wasn't shy nor scared at all. I'm stupid to think cats can judge people; and dumb to base my review based off of my cat's reaction, but it's insanely rare for my little dude to stay and be chill next to any stranger. I could not ignore the fact that my little buddy was so chill around Installer guy and leave it out of the review! Ya he just knew the installer guy is a hard working, honest, and exceptional tradesman. My cat has never been so chill to anyone ever on their first meeting (except for my wife; hence why she's my wife. It was my cat who told me to propose.. true story). Now I'll trust Mr J Carlos Burns to do anything at my next home (hopefully closing this week!! I will need recessed lighting installed on the high ceilings so I know who I'm DEFINITELY calling!) I needed new patch wiring to be done to prep my condo for AT&T gigabit, so after I move out of here and start renting, the tenants can have more options with AT&T and Spectrum services. I have used Right Way Lighting a couple times now for my home in San Diego. Danelle, Carlos, and Vince did a wonderful job both times. They are polite and professional. Danelle took good care of the appointment process. She called me ahead of time to let me know exactly what time the work will start. The workers are friendly and always have a smile on their face. Carlos and Vince installed recess lighting for my rooms. The lights worked, sure. But the amazing part is that they didn't have to drill new holes on my wall! How is that possible? Their skill level is beyond my comprehension. Now my rooms are bright and modern, and I didn't need to spend extra time fixing drywall holes. Vince installed a hire wired floodlight for me plus a new additional power plugs at my home. Everything was done professionally with no damage to my walls. When's small cut out was required, Vince patched the dry wall afterwards and made it look neat. I want to give them extra props for being CLEAN. They wrap plastic sheets on every location they set foot into. They don't damage the walls and the interior space. When the job is done they carefully wraps up and clean everything like they were never here. I've worked with many contractors and handyman. RWL is by far the cleanest. We installed twenty something recessed lights through out the house, some at 16 ft tall ceiling, added fixtures for ceiling fans, replaced old square looking lighting, all with Carlos and Vince. They were even able to help remove kitchen soffit, which after opening up required some wires/pipes and vents to be moved up, so that they can install lights in as we asked. A faucet in my master bedroom started leaking even though I shut it off... I thought that they perhaps were the culprit since they were operating above the sink and perhaps used the water when they were prepping the drywall repair. I notified them of the issue. Even though they respectfully disagreed with me, Carlos still came out and did the repair with zero complaints. It took a lot longer than I anticipated, which I felt bad for (since they were repairing this at no cost), but their professionalism and customer service was extremely impressive, appreciated, and unparalleled. We in the processing of selling our home in Escondido and wanted it show really well. Two of our bathroom had Recessed CFL and our kitchen under cabinet lighting was fluorescent tubes. I've been wanting recessed LED lights in the house for a long time and was referred to Right Way Lighting by a couple friends. Carlos is very friendly and professional. It is refreshing that he gives an honest opinion of what is needed and does not try to oversell. The cost for lights is about $125 per light installation. This includes the fixture and all the wiring. Their quality of work is very high and they spent a good amount of time prepping the room with plastic sheets before they start drilling and cutting. Carlos does an excellent job patching and texturing the drywall when it's all done. You most likely will have to paint over the repaired area yourself afterwards but that's a minor thing that's totally manageable. A year after the initial installation I ended up using Right Way again for some additional rooms. Very much recommended. read more
