We ask electricians into our homes for so many day-to-day things: a loose wire, an odd sound from an outlet, but I think it's easy to forget that these people may save our lives. Abe came out to check a dark smudge above one outlet, and a few more that were loose. He quickly ascertained that the smudge was no real issue, checking the wiring inside and tightening the screws. What he did find was a pretty serious dust accumulation under many of the outlet plates he spot checked. He told me it was dangerous, that it often goes unnoticed, and that I should go from outlet to outlet removing each cover and carefully vacuuming behind it. A single spark could light up any of those small drifts of dust in the outlets of this old house. I am now patiently cleaning them all, and also tightening screws as I go. His price was more than reasonable, he was genuine and down to earth, and this small bit of advice may have crucial positive downstream effects for this house and my family. Fast and honest service! It's the weekend, I was vacuuming the living room and got a spark from a faulty extension cord. Electricity from all the rooms, except the kitchen and laundry closet stopped working. I live in a one bedroom condo so a small space. I called 3 different places, gave the same description to the problem and he was the only one to give a straight forward fee, plus possible cost of a replacement part if needed. Thankfully, he was able to come in the same day I called and was in and out in about 30 minutes. Apparently, something in our panel was just old it eventually needed replacing. When my hair dryer stopped working, I thought the dryer had overheated but two other rooms were affected. My wi-fi was down! Egad! I checked the circuit box, found a breaker was OFF and flipped it to ON, but power was not restored. I called Dynamic Electric and Abe answered right away. He said he could be there in an hour. Yay! When he arrived, I didn't hear his calls or knocking and it was at least 30 minutes before we connected. Thankfully he saw my car in the garage and did not leave because he wanted to be sure I was ok. I doubt others would have waited so long just to make sure the client was ok. Abe found the broken breaker and noticed two others that were rusted and a safety concern that would probably stop working sooner rather than later. He suggested I replace all 3 now to save a future trip charge. And, although he would be late for his next appointment, he kindly and patiently checked inside outlets I had problems with, found two that were malfunctioning, replaced those but did not charge me. Abe is knowledgeable, focused, very thorough, but most importantly, he's honest, takes pride in doing the job right and cares about his clients. Abraham and Michael are Lifesavers! Our Tesla Powerwall failed causing a power surge that fried one pole on our main disconnect breaker. This caused our solar panels to shut off and left us with power to only half of our house circuits. The down lights recommended for the installation in my living room were exactly what I was looking for, and I am generally happy with the overall result. The lights themselves look great and are very effective in providing the desired illumination for the space. The installation process required some level of oversight as initial measurements were not correct (may still be a little off if I'm being critical). I did appreciate the effort put in to correct the mistake and make sure the final result was up to standard. It's possible that they would have caught it before I intervened, so I'm not taking points off for this. Unfortunately, during the installation process, the installer accidentally drilled through the ceiling from the first floor and into the carpet on the second floor, resulting in a hole that you could poke your finger through. I was disappointed that this happened. I reached out to the owner about it and he said he would discuss this with his installers but I never heard back. I am not sure what can be done about a hole in the carpet at this point so I didn't bother following up. Picture is attached. It may not look like much but it is more obvious in person. I'd say the accidental damage caused during the process was definitely a negative aspect of the experience. read more

The power had gone out in just a portion of our house. We checked the reset button and the fuse box, and didn't see anything amiss. When we called Abe from Dynamic Electric, he said he was on the road and would be here in 1/2 hour. He even texted us to confirm. We really appreciate his calm and methodical approach. He explained everything that he was doing, and the steps he would take. In a very short time, Abe found the issue. An old breaker had failed. They did a very professional job, even the cuts on the drywall and closet fixtures were very clean and perfectly straight/square before they put in my new much larger sized Seimans sub panel . They were very knowledgeable about my outdated federal pacific panel and did the job in less than 4 hours. They cleaned up very well without a trace of debris. We have used Dynamic Electric five times, in the past four to five years, and the owner (Abe Edam) has always been on the job to either supervise his workers or to do the work himself. In two emergency cases, Abe moved us ahead of existing customer schedules, because of our urgent issues. Our most recent problem was a defective, loud chirping smoke alarm that woke us at 5:20 a.m. and this horrible noise would not stop. Within hours, Abe came to our rescue and installed a new detector, and it turned out that the listed dates on all our other smoke detectors, indicated that they had outlasted their projected ten years life by several years. So, we had Abe also replace all of them to avoid a similar future problem. His prices have always been very fair and the quality of the work topnotch. I give this company and the owner 5 plus stars.
