We had just moved into a 30 year old home and had some findings from the inspection report we wanted to have a professional, licensed electrician look over. I found Carl of Gold Standard Electric through neighborhood group recommendations. Neighbors were raving so I checked out his Yelp as well. So glad I did! He was incredibly responsive and had great communication and follow up. We had him out to walk through the house and discuss work that might need to be done. He listened and let me know what work he thought would be worthwhile and other areas where things were just fine as is. There was no pressure or feelings of being upsold. We made a list of things we wanted done right away and things we could do in future phases. He got to work within a couple of days and took care of all the items in the first phase (mainly updating over 60 internal internal plugs per our request), replacing several fluorescent light fixtures with LEDs, adding indoor and outdoor GFCi outlets, updating outdoor outlet covers to modern standards, and updating old outdoor lights to more efficient LEDs. He also took the time to demonstrate what some of the future phase work would look like so we could take our time to discuss and make informed decisions. We will DEFINITELY be using this company for all future phases of electrical work on this home and so thankful we found them. Carl did an amazing job installing a 65" frame tv. this required cutting drywall, installing an accessory box in the wall with two new outlets, running hdmi cables and optical into a new outlet box with an additional outlet. I consider myself pretty handy, but this job was a pain and I could not have done it without Carl.
