I want to start by saying I don't take this review process lightly as I know it can heavily impact small businesses but this was a terrible experience for me and I'd like other homeowners to know about it. This text was listed under the Buyer's Guarantee on the website: "Purchasing a home will be one of the most stressful and key events in your life. We guarantee that this process will be smooth and stress free when it comes to your home inspection process. Our inspectors are trained not only to be excellent detail oriented home inspectors but we also specialize in customer service." Dynamics home inspection inspected my 900 sq ft condo before I moved in 3 weeks ago. We had 3 issues: Fan doesn't work, kitchen sink hose was leaking and the bathroom sink had a really slow drain. We had been moving so these items weren't a priority until last week and we tried some dIY ways to fix eg. Draino & water/vinegar/baking soda for slow drain and then plumbers tape for the leak. Those didn't work so we decided to call a plumbing company. They diagnosed the problem and I called what I thought was the 90 day insurance company to see if any of these items could be reimbursed.  Andrew, the owner of Dynamics home inspection called me back and told me that according to the picture in the report "You can see the fan working in the picture" and he said "In the picture of the bathroom faucet, you can see there's no draining issue" When I challenged the idea that a picture can show a slow drain, his next excuse was that my type of sink lends itself to draining slower. I had him on speaker and the plumber who is an expert said THAT IS NOT TRUE. So there's that. Now, a picture can show some items BUT it CANNOT show you if there is a draining issue. Especially if you just flip on the faucet and take a picture. Maybe you should include videos, and maybe let the sink run for a minute? The lack of detail in not reporting these items is one thing because I would have liked to know what I was walking into when purchasing an over $400k condo. But what really caused me to write this lengthy review was the customer service I received. The response from the owner in condescendingly telling me all of the issues I had walked into were not true as if I had created these problems in the 2 weeks I was living here. I had to continually assert myself in the phone convo because he kept saying the pictures in the report let him know that my concerns were inaccurate when I am the one living in the house. He was not even there for the inspection but insisted he knew what was true and not even before he had spoken to the person who had done the inspection.  We obviously came to no resolution since Andrew was insistent on what he "knew" to be true but he did say he would speak to the actual inspection person who was in my unit and let me know if the reason the fan didn't work was because there was a remote. That was yesterday morning and I am still waiting on a response. They have a buyer's guarantee stating they know purchasing a home/unit/condo is stressful and they try to be helpful and provide great customer service. I did not find that to be true. And I wanted to make sure I spent time talking about my experience because as a first time home owner, I would have appreciated more detail oriented notes in my report (like whether the fan came with a remote or not) but more importantly, better customer service to see what could have made the situation better. I don't think that was too much to ask considering I was a paying customer. read more

Dino and Andrew are outstanding inspectors! They are truly expert and thorough in all home systems and conditions. They inspected a 1925 beach house that was cute on the surface but with major problems beneath such as foundation, roof, electrical, fireplace, termite/termite damage. They found it all for me. I also had only one day left to finalize the reports: general home inspection, 4-point inspection, termite inspection, and wind mitigation inspection reports. They went out of their way to get the reports written on time even with very short notice! If you need a purchase contract inspection - especially on an older home - I urge you to call Dino and Andrew. They are professional and honest inspectors who work well together.
