Chris, my trainer, is extremely personable, focused, and on top of all our objectives. I've always thought the best customer service experience is one where the client feels like they're the only client in the universe, and that the party providing the service is devoted to the singular task of addressing the client's needs. Obviously, a bit of a fantasy given a business with multiple clients, but some businesses pull it off: they create an environment where you feel like you're truly cared for, as if you're the only client. Evolve Athletic Club has accomplished this with me. The staff here are extremely competent, supportive, attentive to detail, and prioritized all my personal objectives. Every question has a good answer and every workout is challenging. A lot of care is put into recovery and nutrition. The space is very clean and organized. The staff has done a great job to build amazing rapport and trust. On a side note, you know the expression, "zero fucks given"? It's this attitude where a person literally does not care about a single thing. Plants need watering? No. Need to pay rent? Nah. Clothes getting dirty and need washing? Whatever. Failing school? Ite. Evolve is the opposite of this. In fact, I think they're the opposite of this plus more. Not only do they do everything you think that's required of them, they also do stuff that you don't consider. They take the initiative to say: "hey, this is cool and could be beneficial to you. Why don't you try it?" But, but...you're reviewing a business. Aren't corporate entities "it's" and not "they's"? Sure. However, I stopped thinking of Evolve as a corporate entity as soon as I started working out there. All the staff members look organically happy and engaged, and everyone has a great sense of humor. It genuinely feels like the people here are part of a family. Perhaps I'm just happy that I'm in much better shape. But, at the end of the day, results are results. Not only did I get results, I got them with a process that was fun and engaging. I'm more encouraged than ever to work out and be healthy.

Wish there was a gym like this when I was a little younger…read more Anyway, it's 5 stars to balance some of the unfair reviews I've seen - though I'd easily give this place over 4 anyway, It's clean inside, which is not the case in quite a lot of gyms. I've been to enough gyms to see that cleansing is not always the case. If you leave it up to the patrons or members, then chances are you're going to see evidence of someone's sweat lingering on the equipment you plan on using. While not overly huge (other UFC gyms are larger), it's sizable enough depending on what you're planning to do. There's more than enough bags to use, a speed bag, treadmill, benches, bikes, elliptical machines, and other random things. There's gloves you can borrow for a bout with the bag, but make sure you sanitize when you're done. There's plenty of UFC merchanise available to purchase as well depending on what you're interested in. There's also an octagon cage available for classes and practice, My son's in one of the classes there and the instructor is great. I really wish there was a mma/jujitsu class around back in my youth, The staff is always friendly. It's located on the corner in a fairly busy section of White Plains. Street parking is horrendous and the meter police are all over the place looking for any excuse to get White Plains money - so park in the municipal parking lot behind the building - it's about $1 an hour. So overall a great gym. I plan to get a membership soon myself to pound on the bags at will. If you're curious, I would ask about a trial membership. Recommended.

Very disrespectful! I cancelled my membership back in November and my bank account let me know in December that ufc gym tried to take out monthly charge! I was surprised, called ufc immediately. The young girl up front answered and was very rude. I talked to a manager named Jeff back in November he said everything was fine, after the upcoming payment was paid I would not be charged and membership would be cancelled. A few days ago a third party collector called me about ufc .. And I was surprised again! I called ufc and Damien, the GM, spoke to me. He let me know Jeff is no longer there and whatever Jeff has told me about my account being canceled is a lie. He also said I needed to pay for December! It's ridiculous! I asked to speak to someone higher than him and he transferred me to the owner Dean Ballantoni.... ITS BEEN A WEEK AND THIS GUY HAS NOT CONTACTED ME BACK! All ufc staff member keep saying is I have to pay the month of December, which I never attended once and didn't even know my account was still not cancelled. He is by far the best trainer I have had in my many years of training. I have been a member for about three years. It has steadily gone down hill since then, most notably in past six months. There are no toilet seat covers in the ladies locker room. There are two hand dryers, one of which doesn't work. Several machines have signs that say "work in progress", I am not sure why it says in progress because it has been there for over two weeks. There used to always be toilet seat covers, I am not sure what has changed, I used to see a woman cleaning during the day and everything was in great shape when she was there. I don't see her anymore. I would like to recommend the gym to my friends who are interested in a gym. I would not do that now unless things change. Jenna is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and has great tips and tricks for the experienced cook and patience for those of us who struggle to use a stove knob. Her recipes are prepared beforehand based on your tastes and are really healthy, delicious, and easy to prepare. I felt like I was on a cooking show. Her kitchen is professional and well-stocked with tools. She is a great conversationalist and keeps the session moving at the right pace, based on the meals you are preparing. The class was not only educational, it was a lot of fun, and definitely a great reprieve from my typical Sunday afternoons spent studying in front of a computer. I can't even begin to imagine what it would be like to manage a kitchen full of amateur chefs (half of whom rarely cook at home)...but somehow she managed to do it with grace! Jenna was extremely patient with and open to all of our questions as well. In particular, I thought she did a great job of incorporating the 'why' behind her answers to questions like: What ingredients do you always have on hand? How do you know which spices go well together? What goes into a vegetable stock? I really appreciated how Jenna tailored the class specifically for a group of grad students, focusing on: increasing the nutritional value of our meals, saving time in the kitchen, and all the while cutting down on costs. Three things that I know I DEFINITELY need to do more of! I walked away from the class with an arsenal of new cooking tips, a full belly (plus a few containers of leftovers), and a packet of recipes from the class. Three hours very, very well spent!
