I'm absolutely fuming. I was a walk-in (not knowing that they now want you to book online). They took her back for her trim right away but sent her home with two bleeding nails! I'm certain they noticed she was bleeding profusely but no one said a word to me. I didn't notice until I got her home and two of her paws were covered in blood. GREAT Service! Jessica the Groomer...not sure if she is the Owner but, she is great with the dogs having patience with them if they are squirming when getting nails clipped unlike some other places. PRICES are absolutely reasonable unlike Vetinary offices which charge an outrageous amount. Small business but good service including receptionist! I would never recommend this place my first experience back in December of 2022 I brought my miniature Yorkie poo who is 12 years old and 4 lb and 11 oz to have her groomed I paid $100 and something dollars to have her groomed and my dog was traumatized the first time she was groom there and hasn't been back since when I came to pick her up the groomer he put back on dirty clothes on her which they shouldn't have done they should have just took them off and put it in a bag and say we didn't want to put this on her since she was freshly cut and groomed every since then my dog has been traumatized and does not like to be groomed before this issue with this groomer she love taking baths and don't mind being groomed but since this issue she doesn't feel comfortable with groomers we never had an issue with this until we took her to this grooming place!!! And she has been groomed ever since we had her so insane that I don't usually give anyone any bad views but because of my yorkie-poo experience I do not recommend this place at all don't seem like they really was concerned about how I or my pet was feeling read more

My dog & I LOVE this place. Deb groomed our Havanese today. His hair was very long and thick...due to a recent surgery, I haven't been able to groom our dog as well as in the past. I discussed my desire to try to keep his hair longer but somehow cut it so he didn't tangle as easy. Deb did an awesome job! He looks the BEST he has ever looked and he loves his new lighter "DO"! My Chihuahua and my mutt both needed nail trim. My mutt is a sweetheart but my Chi is a "caution" dog. She is a Diva! She is spoiled and hates to get her nails trimmed and requires a muzzle to get this task done. Deborah who is the owner was very patient and caring the way she handled my Chi. I am so upset with the lack of quality my dog received at this place. I was excited for my dog to get his first haircut. I explained to the receptionist what I wanted and clarified with her that my dog was only getting a trim to which we agreed on and I thought she understood. I even put it in writing on the paper they gave me to fill out and I showed her a picture and video of what I wanted. His appointment was 9:30 and I didn't get a call until 1:00 to pick him up. When I first saw him I thought oh he looks good but then I saw what they did to his poor butt. They took the clippers to his beautiful hair and shaved it. He looked like a baboon at the zoo. I paid $65.00 dollars for a wash and hack job they called a trim. I called the lady and told her it wasn't even about the money but this was ridiculous. My dog is an Australian Shepherd. They are not supposed to be shaved. The receptionist said that sometimes it's hard to trim a dog with a double coat. I would have rather them turn my business away and tell me they couldn't do it rather then them hacking his hair all to hell the way they did. At one point the lady told me well some people think it's cute that way. I said does this in anyway look like what I showed you I wanted to which she answered no. I will never go back to this place and I mean never. And I stupidly paid and left tip before they brought my dog out to me. If I had seen how he looked prior to me paying I sure as hell would not have left a tip. I only pray that it grows back as beautiful as it was prior to me taking him to this place. read more

I have been taking our dogs here for nail trims for several years. My old lab Bailey used to hate getting her nails done after I accidentally clipped her quick. Now when she goes here she literally jumps on the table. We come on Saturday and always get right in and rarely have to wait. We also started bringing our younger dachshund mix here as well. Our dogs are outside dogs and do not visit the groomer often, but Pinole Paws has de-shedded our Malamute/husky/mix three times now and we have been very happy with the people, the price, and the great customer service. Piper is 16 years old and recently diagnosed with cancer. We were gearing up for a Tahoe Vacation, and had rented a 'dog freindly' house in NorthShore. Dog Freindly or not Piper is a hair bomb this time of year, and was just shedding like mad. I brought her in for a bath and grooming, so she could be in the rental house, and the grankids would want to pet her. I explained the Cancer situation to Ajunee, and she was just wonderful with Piper. Great dogside manner. She made me feel confident that Piper would be well treated, and seemed to really enjoy her job. When I came back to get her, Piper was happy and looked fantastic. This was really important to me as Piper will not be with us much longer and she was able to play with us and really enjoy the vacation. I also spoke with Ajunee about my two puppies which are pretty dog aggressive. She offered to set up a special appointment, so they would not terrorize any body elses dogs. We live in Pinole and I can not imagine choosing a different groomer. They get all five stars, all the way! read more

In fact, when I picked her up she wanted to go back in to the grooming area in the back! Normally she would be dragging me out the door to escape from the (big box store) groomer. And she did a terrible job. She seemed to be in a bad mood and took it out on my dog...not a way to run a business and a good way to get rid of customers. I tried Pinole Paws for the first time this week. I moved recently and am looking for a groomer closer to where I live now. The reviews are good, but I was very disappointed in the service. My dog now has a very choppy trim, with stray hairs sticking out in places. There were some small knots in his groin area, which were not all removed (I can do it with little scissors, but I paid for a grooming!). It looks to me like it was a busy day, and my dog was rushed through at the end of the 4-hour time.
