After relocating to Johns Creek, we've attended this location for the past three weeks--and unfortunately, the quality has not matched what we previously experienced. The facility is noticeably outdated, with rusted benches in ALL of the changing stalls--something I find concerning, especially with my child barefoot in those areas. The amenities also feel neglected. The same worn coloring sheets have been out for weeks, and the provided markers don't work. These may seem like small details, but they matter when creating a welcoming environment for kids. At Briarcliff, the staff went the extra mile they had connect 4, cornhole and bubble machines going on the Entry and Exit of Class they even gifted the kids Ballons and sickers after EACH SESSION. My biggest concern is the lack of consistency in swim instructors. My son has had a different instructor EVERY session, making it difficult for anyone to assess his progress accurately. He's been with Big Blue since July 2024 and was thriving--yet here, they wanted to demote him back to the beginner class based on a single instructor's brief interaction. One instructor, in particular, was overly aggressive and even ripped a bandage from my son's finger during class without knowing what was underneath--an inappropriate and careless action, especially not knowing my son's sensitivity. To make matters worse, I was told I'd need to get in the water and teach my son the Bright 1 material MYSELF. If that's the expectation, I might as well be the instructor I find that request unacceptable due to the fact that I have spend over thousands of dollars with this company. I've since WITHDRAWN my son from this location, and he is now happily enrolled at Aqua TOTS. Based on our experience, I would NEVER recommend the Johns Creek location to other families.

I believe all members should be treated with the same level of respect and professionalism, regardless of their race or appearance. While this may not have been the associate's intention, the experience left a negative impression and is something management should address through staff training and awareness.

One of the main reasons to join Lifetime is access to amenities - good luck ever using them here. After three months of unavailability, they then decided it should be closed for over a month for "renovation" - just in time for the holiday break when some camp will likely resume and the court remains off-limits to members. I left a polite note requesting a conversation with management about better scheduling so members can actually use what they're paying for. I also mentioned this to Lifetime corporate. Neither responded. I've since canceled and joined another gym at a tenth of the price. Easily the worst Lifetime location I've experienced. 0/10

Tuxford is a nice subdivision in the Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta. There are 376 large homes, many…read moreof which I believe were built in the 90s, so this subdivision isn't new, but it isn't ancient either. The homes are placed fairly close together and offshoot from the subdivision's main road, Tuxford Drive. There are numerous cul-de-sacs and the development feels somewhat cookie-cutter, but I've seen much worse (where all the houses look the same; not here). The homes here are nice and currently sell for roughly around half a million dollars. The main entrance to the neighborhood is on Kimball Bridge Road. However, the neighborhood can also be accessed via smaller residential roads, Windham Way and Grenadier Lane, which are attached to the neighboring subdivision. On those smaller roads, small brick posts let you know you've entered Tuxford. Tuxford has a pool and six tennis courts. Most of the homes do not have their own individual pool. The neighborhood is very close to Ocee Park which has more tennis courts, outdoor basketball courts, beach volleyball courts, baseball and soccer fields, and a playground. You have to drive out of the subdivision to get there. There are a lot of trees in the neighborhood (mostly, behind the houses). There are no sidewalks. The community is not gated nor do I think there is private security. The neighborhood is about five minutes away from Georgia 400, less than 10 minutes away from both Avalon and North Point Mall, and about 30-40 minutes away from downtown Atlanta without traffic. With traffic, expect a haul to the city to take around an hour. To the airport, expect a 35-45 minute drive or 1:20-1:30 in traffic. Overall, Tuxford feels safe and peaceful and it looks like a good place to raise a family. It's family-friendly and dog-friendly.

There are several stationary bikes - Peletons and other types - that have been out of commission for more than a month - and when I asked about it, I was essentially told "tough luck - they'll be repaired when we can get someone in here." In addition, the free weight area often is very crowded and it's almost impossible to do any kind of circuit training most times of the day. If the equipment maintenance problems continue, I'll join Lifetime or another gym that makes cardio equipment a priority.

I called and the front-desk lady said you can't sign up for a class with a day pass but she would register me under her name. It was a class that fills up really quickly and there were only two spots left. I went to the Y, told the front desk ladies I was there for a class and they took my word and gave me directions to the studio. I took the class and talked to a couple of people. About three weeks later I signed for up for a membership and tried to register for a class. The registration system wouldn't work on my computer. It said "error: unathorized". So I gave up and called the front desk. That lady said my membership probably hadn't gone through yet -- the credit card payment certainly had. So she signed me up under her name and then suggested I stop by the desk after class and ask. So I get to the Y and tell the ladies I'm there for a class and another employee was on his way downstairs and walked me to the location. Then on the way out I stopped at the front desk to ask about my problem registering. I think the first lady was right, the system just hadn't caught up because I had no issue when I looked at it on my phone. But I found out some interesting things that I should have been told. The day pass is so you can come take a tour and then if you want to take a class they'll see if there's anything available at that time. So it costs $25 just to tour and then you might get to take a class. When I did my membership I just got an email saying "click this link and create a password". That was it. No other instructions. When I was talking to the front desk ladies after class that's when I found out you're supposed to download an app, log in and you get a barcode to scan when you come in so they'll know who all is in the building. Twice (once with the day pass and once with a brand-new membership) I walked into the building said "I'm here to take a class" and they gave me directions on where to go. And the instructors don't pay attention to who's in the class. I guess if five people signed up and 20 showed up they would notice. Twice I was signed up under someone else's name and it was never an issue. I could have been anyone walking in off the street for who knows what reason. And both times I had to wait at the desk to get attention, I could have just waltzed on through. And in both classes I told the instructor I was new to the class. The first instructor asked a couple of questions and told me I probably ought to be in a different class. One of the participants showed me what to get from the supply closet (mat, weights and so on). The second class I told the instructor it was my first time and she pointed out what to get from the supply closet. But I never felt welcome. How hard is it to say "I'm Suzy, the instructor, welcome to class". After the first class, I talked to two of the women and the instructor and they gave me some suggestions on classes to try. So that was good. The classes themselves are fine. I'm more out of shape than I thought. All the front-desk ladies have been wonderful once you get their attention. It just would have been nice to have some clarity on what a day pass includes and when you get a membership to be told about the app and signing in at the facility and it might be 48 hours before you are able to register online.

Too many swimmers in the team with top swimmers barely able to get value. Coaches rely on 1 or 2 front swimmers to make themselves feel valuable. But the training doesn't target improvements across the team. No engagements if a swimmer doesn't attend trainings but monthly payment deductions are consistent. If you must join here, then pause membership whenever you confirm you won't be able to attend consistent monthly trainings. Resume payment when you're able to attend. The extra free month is to make you be consistent with monthly payment but thats not valuable. Stop payment by sending email notice and restart when you're able. We didn't train for over 6months, because the East Cobb location was outdoor even during the winter with no coverage provided to weather the cold! If joining the East Cobb location, don't join. Training is outdoor even during winter, don't believe promises of getting a tarp, they've been saying that for over 3yrs without actually doing that. Great coach in East Cobb but not worth it. Coach Caleb is totally awful, no engagements with parents other than collecting money. No value add on technique correction because they're like Sardines at GA Tech! Just awful. Try MAAC!

When I signed up for the gym with the manager I explained how I'm a single mom with a 15 month old and now I can only work out if I bring her with me. They had just opened a kids club so it was perfect, and I even asked about it closing and what would happen. She told me that I would have at least 1 month notice since you pay for first month and last month when you sign up for both memberships but she also stressed that it will not be closing cause it is doing great and was in high demand. I even have in writing that she does remember telling these things. They closed kids club without warning, not a call or text or email, a piece of paper taped to the door on the final night. I was upset since that's the whole reason I joined this gym and we got a utilize it for less than two months and I've already prepaid for a month that I cannot use now. I was told I had to reach out to corporate about getting my prepaid money refunded to me and there was nothing else they would do for me. I asked for my annual fee refund since I was there for less than 2 months and didn't wanna leave. I was told no since " I'm the one choosing to end my membership", and how I'm welcome to continue my membership without bring my daughter. As I explained to the manager when I first started , that simply isn't an option for me , I quite literally have to bring her with me or I can't go. When I spoke to Corporate I was told that I can take the refund for the prepaid month or I can choose to escalate, but she will purposely mark my request as " none need to Escalate" To ensure nobody calls me back. She said I can accept the month refund and stop asking for my annual fee refund or she will make sure I get refunded NOTHING. So she basically told me to shut up or they will keep my prepaid month for a program that they shut down and now a unless membership. I have to pay an annual fee and start all over at new gym now. I'm beyond disappointed. I don't care that it's no Annual fee refunds in their policy, I think good customer service for something that's out of my hands would be to give me that refund. I will say that the staff at this location have always been kind and taken great care of my daughter when kids club was open, I'm just beyond frustrated with how this has been handled.
