Waitress dropped off ticket, and I just put my CC on ticket, keep on talking and eating.She came back all pissed off, saying this wrong ticket not mine. I told her it's the one you gave me, I hadn't read it at all. She gave the correct ticket, then was pointing at me to other tables. I don't know what they were saying, but was uncomfortable having strangers look at point at you.I was with a party of 6. Everyone thought it was a bit crazy. I will not be back. This is one of the largest and popular buffets in the area. There is a lot going for them like location, variety of food, and a gift store that includes clothing and accessories. The decor is beautiful although the restaurant needs a little bit of a touch up. You will have a lot of choices of the traditional dishes, including sushi, sesame chicken, and General GAO, etc. They are constantly putting out fresh dishes and there is a good selection of desserts and pastries including cobbler (I was disappointed in the cornstarch being too liquid which could happen when the fruit isn't drained enough). This is the second time I've been here and remembered it being very good. Both times I was treated. Honestly, I tried a taste of most of what was out today and didn't like it, because the buffet as a whole didn't look or taste appetizing to me. It could be just me. But not all is lost: I enjoyed the fried fish, the doughnut, and the jasmine tea. If it were technically possible, I would add half a star for the helpful, sweet and hard working staff there. So let me just share with you guys. This place is a traditional Chinese buffet but also features a complete à la cart menu. Some years ago when the managers were considering to lower the quality of the ingredients to maintain profits the owner called an emergency family meeting and said we will never lower the quality of our ingredients. We can raise our prices but we will never lower the quality. That really means a lot to them even today. I ate at the buffet around 1:25 PM and found items to be uncommonly fresh and delicious compared to other Chinese buffets I've ever been to. But the real stand out was the kitchen ordered sweet-and-sour chicken. The batter was sweet and crisp and light. Like a funnel cake at the state fair. The chicken moist and juicy and noticeably fresh. It was as if the chicken was hand battered and cooked only moments before I eat it. Thinking now as I type this, it must've been. When I tasted would've been impossible any other way. It was a reality altering experience eating that sweet and sour chicken. I'm serious. The restaurant itself was originally built some time in the 70s and taking over by this family in 1993 where they have provided the community with great Chinese food since that time. Inside there is a maze of hallways and boots and intricate woodwork and neon lights. You really do feel like you're in some other place. There is even a huge gift shop at the entrance that sells everything from solar powered waving cats to ninja katana's and Jade Dragon boats. The general manager came by personally to thank me for driving from Dallas several times and everyone was completely professional. Even the waitress wore a white button up shirt and a black bowtie. Super fancy. It's quite a drive, two hours and 20 minutes from Dallas, but dare I say it was well worth it. What an experience. I can't wait to come back with more people. read more

I don't give this restaurant a single star. A health inspector needs to take a serious look at this restaurant. Thursday night (July 25th), not one, but two of my co-workers were horribly sick within 3 hours of eating this food. One of my co-workers had their tea that night and he said it tastes like chemicals and he made it aware to the restaurant and within the next couple of hours he had blood coming out of both ends, to the point he was hospitalized. This establishment does not provide fresh food on the line at the buffet. It smells like their seafood section was cooked in sewage. Their takeout meat has been very suspicious material on multiple occasions. I would not trust this establishment or any kind of food or drink that comes from this establishment. Dynasty will never see a penny from me again and I will not stop at this yelp review. Mind you, the doctor asked where and what he had eaten and the doctor mentioned there were two other people in the hospital that same night from eating at dynasty within the last 24 hours. As someone who is not a huge fan of Chinese food or Buffets, I will say this is the best one I have been too! For a dinner Buffett it's only $12.99 for adults, and with unlimited options for appetizers, main meals, and desserts, this is a steal! My favorite was the teriyaki chicken with steamed rice! I also loved the soup bar, you pick your favorite broth and create it to your liking with what you mix in! The restaurant is spacey with multiple rooms, I'd suggest sitting away from the main dining room, as it was pretty noisy! This has been a go-to for my family for as long as I can remember, and my most recent visit was a reminder as to why. The ambiance of the venue is lovely, although the traditional music of the past appears to have been replaced by broadway music(?) The lighting is really wonderful, and the aquarium tanks filled with fish are a lovely addition to the location. There is also a gift shop in the front portion of the restaurant that features some really cool pieces of art, jewelry, clothing, etc. The restaurant itself features the option to order from a menu, but the real star of this place is the buffet which I high recommend. My favorite thing to get here is absolutely the sautéed green beans...incredible! I also love their shrimp fried rice, and the cream cheese wontons are definitely not something to miss. However, it's not only limited to Chinese food. There are also more cuisine variations available, but it is sill very good. All in all, the food is delicious and offered at a great price for what you're getting! Dynasty is also incredibly family friendly, with tables designed to allow for conversation between guests. I have always loved this restaurant, and not just because of the food. The fact that it's basically located in a chinese manor really helps with the actual ambiance. Parking is bad, but then again it's worth it for the food itself. Service was okay, though I am wondering why the hell I my waiter called me ma'am. I don't look like a woman and my hair isn't even long, so that was a bit annoying. I used my general control food for Chinese, which is General Tso's Chicken, it was awesome. I have been coming to the particular dynasty for about 8 years now. I am never disappointed with there food. They have 5 buffet tables, and all the food always tastes fresh and is always up to temperature. During lunch they have a nice little sushi buffet as well which does not disspoint. The servers are always on top of things and always make sure to have our drinks filled and plates taken away, even if you sit in the back area, so don't fret when you are seated there.
