Hot and sour soup is amazing like how you can add mushrooms and other items to it. Love the idea of having the service buttons on the table. Basic Asian buffet items. Service is great the place is huge inside looks like they have a complete second area across the path and looks like a actually Chinese temple style. Over food is good give it a shot! read more

Went as a large family group. Seated quickly and enjoyed the buffet. Kids loved the ability to select their own food and were careful to get only what they would eat. They enjoyed the fried rice with steamed veggies. The adults tried the shrimp dishes and they were great. Everyone got dessert, kids did soft serve ice cream, adults did cobbler with ice cream. No one left hungry. Great place for families. We will be back. read more

I haven't been to this restaurant in awhile. I was meeting some friends for dinner. We all got buffets. The food was decent. The thing that happened that will ensure I won't be returning is that I was reprimanded for taking two (2) pieces of sushi instead of one. It's an all you can eat buffet. No sign is posted saying you are limited to one and other folks piling them on their plates. A voice from the back (the person who was making the sushi) said "don't take more than one" yet if you go to their website it actually states "our buffet includes all you can eat sushi". Never again. Go micromanage someone else. Folks have forgotten how to treat customers these days. read more

I was craving Chinese food and have grown tired of Panda Express. I did some searching and saw that Dynasty offered delivery and after reviewing the menu decided to give it a try. The delivery part would not work for me online - new subdivision that is in Temple but sometimes shows up as Belton and even though website says they deliver to Belton as well still wouldn't take the request! Changed to pick up and order processed fine. Food was ready when I got there and packed well - still hot when I got home. Food was very good - I enjoyed the Tangerine Beef and Hot Sour Soup very much. My wife didn't seem to enjoy her food as much - said the Beef in the Beef with Broccoli had a strange taste. Otherwise she said it was ok! We want to visit restaurant next time and eat there - I want to try Seafood Hot and Sour Soup! Would like to see if they can prepare Walnut Shrimp a dish I love but have only been able to get at China Cottage in Dayton Oh. Having leftovers for Lunch because portions are large. Over 10 years ago I was the first person to review delicious Dynasty. Since that first review I broke up with the jerk boyfriend I mentioned in the review, married the best guy ever and I STILL EAT AT DYNASTY because it's that good y'all. I drive an hour for this Chinese food. Love the lo mein, green beans, general tso's chicken, egg rolls, crab rangoons, fried fish, teriyaki chicken, chicken with mushrooms and beef with broccoli. I have been going to this place for over 10 years and at first I loved everything here, now I just enjoy looking at the fish in the tanks more than the food itself. The waitstaff are always quick to clean up and give refills, but that and the fish don't make this a place that I enjoy anymore. I have eaten at Chinese buffets for many years and both in Canada and the United States, and this is not on the radar for me anymore. Typical Chinese buffet spread. Nothing stood out. The cobbler and vanilla soft serve was a highlight. The hot wings drowning in sauce is a bad idea, super salty! I did appreciate the cleanliness of the buffet tables. The service was excellent, plates were quickly bussed and water refilled several times. The food tasted good. (Jake's in Belton,Yank Sing in temple, Asian Buffet in Killeen) I've had way better buffets' than Dynasty, but that was when we lived in Cali, and back there it's buffets' galore so I won't put it up against those.. Meh. Whilst visiting this fair city we came here before heading back into the deep black hole that is west tx. We are adventurous eaters but trying sushi in the middle of TX is a huge adventure (risk). The crunchy roll with eel on top was heavy on the wasabi. Had two bites then stopped. It wasn't tasty or crunchy. It was rather mushy. We also ordered goyza. Those were ok. Everything I got off the buffet was cold. I can't eat cold greasy egg roll! I wish it was warmer-it would have been so much better. Good egg drop soup. It was hot and hit the spot for my usual Sunday morning recovery. read more

Saw commercials on TV and it looked appealing so had to try. We actually drove in from out of town to try. There is a good variety of dishes but nothing that really stood out. We went on Thursday during lunch. I'd say it has all the dishes Americans might like- your usual Americanized take out offerings (i.e. sesame chicken, General Tso's chicken, beef and brocolli, chicken and brocolli, all the fried stuff, etc) I appreciated the egg drop soup which was probably the thickest viscosity I've had before, which wasn't a bad thing. The mashed potatoes and gravy was good, but I'm just a lover of mashed potatoes anywhere. The lo mein did have a good light flavor, not too salty. The fried rice that I tried, however was too salty. The spam sushi was a nice touch, hadn't seen that before. The chicken in the cashew chicken was the most tender that I had compared to the other meats. The ice cream machine was broken that day. Unfortunately expectations doesn't match reality. But that's ok because we all have room for improvement. read more

Stopped in here randomly on the way back to Dallas from Austin. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The sushi (for a buffet) had good flavor. Came here around 3-4p.m.on a Saturday with a friend and my daughter, and I have to say I'm only giving 2 stars only because this place is nice for the looks they have a nice set up, dim lights and soft music,and my daughter loved the fish in the tanks, but the food is absolutely disgusting. In celebration of Chinese New Year, we decided on the abundant buffet at Dynasty. Only one word adequately describes the quality of the cuisine we encountered. Oddly enough, that word is actually incorporated into the last five letters of the name of the restaurant. In all fairness, I have enjoyed the chicken in garlic sauce ordered from menu on numerous occasions, but the buffet was apparently geared toward regular buffet eaters with iron guts. I sampled small portions of everything that appeared palatable, but only succeeded in coating my mouth with an unpleasant flavor that I am anxious to brush and floss away. The waitstaff was courteous and attentive. My suggestion is to skip the buffet and order an entree prepared for you. The quality has always been much superior. read more

Chinese food is one of my top favorite foods, so I like it to taste good. I heard a lot of hub bub about this place and it is quite close to where I live, so we tried it. I must say sadly I was disappointed. It was not bad food by any stretch of the imagination, but it wasn't great either. The food didn't have a lot of taste. I didn't go back for years because there are other great Chinese places in town. I tried it again with a friend one more time. It seems nothing has changed. It is clean with a nice atmosphere. The selection is on the smaller side. Will I ever go back? I might if for some reason I can't eat at my favorite one, but if a friend asks me where my favorite is, I don't tell them here. Perhaps 3rd time will be a charm. I have heard that their sushi restaurant next door is fabulous by a friend who is quite a sushi connoisseur. I do hope to try that sometime soon. read more
