My daughter and I went in for our annual check up and cleaning. Elena did mine and Ericka did my daughter's. Elena was very detail oriented and did a superb job with my cleaning. Explained everything and everything with smoothly. Can't wait to come back for my next cleaning! Ericka was very personable and knowledgeable with many things including a referral over to a orthodontist for my daughter. My daughter suffers from really bad dental anxiety and ask a lot of questions and is very timid... Erica made her feel very comfortable, She was able to complete my daughters full exam in fall cleaning and such a timely manner. We were very impressed by her as well. UPDATE: I made an appointment for a cleaning at Downtown Phoenix Dental http://www.dtphxdental.com/ I had gotten a cleaning at Downtown Phoenix Dental two years ago, moved away and had not been back. I decided to book a second appointment for a cleaning at Downtown Phoenix Dental, had my gums measured and guess what I DID NOT NEED A DEEP CLEANING. I was able to have my teeth cleaned and very thoroughly at that. Dysart Dental is a scammy... you have to be careful in Arizona. And the printout they gave me for my work that needs to be done was disparaging. Previous review of Dysart Dental (10/12/2022): This place came recommended to me as I am new to the area. I schedule my first visit at 8 a.m. for a cleaning, or so I thought, and made arrangements with my work to come in late after my appointment. Everyone was nice enough until they informed me they would not clean my teeth since my last cleaning was two years ago. They wanted to numb my mouth and give me a deep cleaning and charge me $250 dollars with my Delta Dental insurance. THEY WOULD NOT GIVE A REGULAR CLEANING. If you have not been to the dentist in two years and want to get your teeth cleaned and have insurance but cannot spend $250 on a deep cleaning then DO NOT GO HERE, it will be a waste of your time. The dentist met with me and conveniently told me everything that was wrong with my teeth and then WOULD NOT CLEAN MY TEETH unless I paid $250 for a deep cleaning (with insurance). I wasted over one hour so these people do not care about your time either. read more

Tracy Tomas at Dysart Dental has been my dentist for perhaps 2 years. She replaced a bridge for me in January 2023 using all of my insurance, in addition to another nearly $800 out of pocket. I posted a review that the bridge was beautiful and it is. However, a month or so later, I alerted her/and or her office staff that something wasn't right; I began to experience pain while eating, it felt as if I was hitting bone to bone and my gums underneath were sore and bleeding. I was called back in and charged for an exam and X-ray; she used the black film to see where the bridge was hitting other teeth and adjusted the teeth. Dr Tracy reassured me that it takes time for the gums to heal. I trusted her and endured pain for over 7 months. I could no longer take the pain that was now causing my entire left side of my face to hurt, and for the third time returned to her care for her to charge me for an exam and X-ray then send me to a Endodontics. Without X-rays (due to my hairstyle) just an oral exam, he knew immediately that I needed not one but two root canals in excess of of over $2,000 plus the $167 due at the time of service. I left there and went to Dr. Tracy's office to ask her why wasn't a root canal completed prior to the bridge being placed in and/or why did she wait so long to refer me to the Endodontics? She was cold and callous with her response stating that "I didn't need a root canal at tue time of replacing the bridge. I asked if I wasn't in pain before the bridge then what did she do wrong during removal of the old bridge and drilling of tooth 11 and 13 to cause this?" Her reply was "at least he found what's wrong and it can be fixed". I shared the cost of her mistake and I asked how was he able to determine the problem but she couldn't and she stated that he has 3D imaging. I shared that he didnt use the X-ray but an oral exam. She NEVER took accountability for missing this and or causing me unnecessary pain for half a year. When I requested my records, the staff stated they were instructed not to provide me my records until the $540 balance was paid. The freaking audacity! It goes without saying that I do NOT recommend anyone use this facility if this is how patients who entrust your dental care to them are treated. read more

I came into dysart dental about a year ago. I am a veteran and was referred by the VA. I was supposed to get flexible flappers (retainer type teeth). when I went back to my dentist he examined the flappers and told me that's not what he ordered. he then had his assistant look up the billing and dysart dental charged for the flappers he ordered. which is probably $8,000 more then the ones I got. not happy with this! read more

We come here for our dental needs and love it!! It's pretty modern, TV in every room and the service is great. Dr. Sam is awesome and so are the assistants and hygienists! I'm being vague here because I've had very little sleep and it's late. Forgive me!! My recent experience I had to get a crown and it was cool that it gets done in the office. I could even watch the machine that was sawing away to make it fit in my mouth! Sawing is inaccurate. The machine used pressurized water. How cool is that?! read more

Loved this place at first until I came back THREE times to fix a crown that didn't "fit." I understand people make mistakes but with a 5 month old daughter I can't keep coming back to sit in a dentist chair for 60+ minutes to just have them say the crown doesn't fit. Now that my crown is finished, I'm having a sharp pain when I chew on that side. I'm confused as to why my crown took so long (and why it hurts) and why it couldn't have been done in one day, like my husbands, (he got his done at a different office) Long story short, I will definitely be changing my dentist office. I've had horrible dental experiences in the past which made me HATE the dentist. After getting braces on as an adult, I needed a dentist and was referred to Dysart Dental because it was nextdoor. It took ONE visit to know this place was not like the others. Sam and Tracy who not only truly care about oral hygiene, but are real people who understand their patients dont spend the day thinking about their teeth (but they probably wish we did), who have jobs and can't always make it in every 6 months, and probably can't afford to have all the work done they need ASAP. The Dr. 's work with you to correct the most important issues first, and work on the rest as you can afford without guilt tripping you into more work. This office is all about taking care of their patients mouth, not draining your bank account. My family has been coming here for 9 yrs and I'd never dream of going anywhere else. The front desk staff Val and Karen , the hygienist Rachel and Percila, to their dental assistants Victoria and Rachel are truly the absolute best. Terribly disappointed that after being a patient for 5 plus years I am now forced to find another dentist. I went in for my annual cleaning this morning and due to circumstances I am now on a budget. Usually they come up with additional charges that aren't covered by insurance and I am willing to pay but this time I needed to make sure I stayed within my budget because I am paying for four educations. I told them that I wanted to just do the basic cleaning that was covered by insurance and they refused to do a cleaning unless I paid for the more thorough cleaning that they felt was "clinically necessary" without even conducting an exam. In hindsite after reviewing my insurance statements it appears that they are not able to provide service without overcharging both the insurance company and myself. read more

We just changed dentists because of frustration with office management, and we couldn't be happier. I have had extremely sensitive gums all my life (since I was a child - the dental hygienist at the previous practice shamed me for it, told me I needed to "toughen up" and hurt me so badly during a cleaning that I didn't want to return, ever), and Pricilla gave me a cleaning that was actually pleasant and easy, for perhaps the first time in my life. Dr. Sam then fixed a filling that had been poorly done TWICE by our previous dentist (there was overhang causing food to get trapped...which caused a cavity on the next tooth over) in a remarkably short time, again, with zero discomfort and lots of humor. My son is not a fan of going to the dentist at all. He use to go to a very large dental office (pediatric) and he would see someone new each time so he was never very comfortable. I was very happy with our decision to move dentists. You always feel welcome and know you will have amazing service by there whole team. Same faces each time. My son had a cavity and also had a tooth pulled. Dr. Tracy walked him through every step this made him feel more secure. Also one thing to note is at the other pediatric dentist we went had given us a large bid for the work to be completed. I could not believe how much would be out of pocket ! I have been going to Dysart Dental now for about 4 years. I am not the type of person to write a review; however, I thought that this business deserved that and I will explain. I read some of the poorer reviews below and I will tell you I am astonished; one thing I have always had from this dental office is quality work and professional service with people that really seem to care. Between me and my family probably a total of 30-40 visits and never a complaint to be had over the last 4 years. So aside from the great service and the work they do this business is incredibly honest. They had estimated my bill from the insurance company and charged me the difference. Well, unbeknownst to me more came back from the insurance company than expected and I called in to find my balance for another visit was completely covered. I am a person that believes in integrity and honesty and when a business can display this I moved to share.
