Went here for a weekday lunch and the food was really good. There wasn't a "lunch" menu. So it was a full/dinner portion meal... be hungry! We had the bibim bap and the portion size was very reasonable for the price. It was also very tasty. The service was nice and friendly. Korean food is one of my favorites and in Stafford, authentic food in this category is nonexistent so it's good to have Bulgogi Korean BBQ a few miles away from my home. Most recent visit I tried the Bulgogi fried rice which came with a hefty price tag of $18 and Bulgogi rolls reigning in at $13. Now, I have no issue paying for food as long as the taste fits the bill and yes it did however, they did skimp on the bulgogi, mostly rice. Also, the thinly sliced beef reminded me of "steak-ums" from back in the day. If you love Korean cuisine, you have to absolutely come here. This is one of the few restaurants that serve my favorite dish called japchai and it's not only that they have this dish. The only reason I'm downgrading my review is the food quantity - it has truly gone down, especially when getting a to-go order; you pay the same price for sit-down service, but one or two sides instead of the what you get in the restaurant. I now have to order extra meat in the Bulgogi meal to get what I used to in the past. I was with a co-worker who's from out-of-town and he wanted Korean, so I Googled and found this place. I do recall reading great reviews about them in the past, but never tried it until this visit. The guy working there was helpful. The dining room needs help, but we were there for the food. We each got the bibimbap, which is something I've never tried before. It was fresh and very tasty. The cucumbers that came with it were amazing and fresh! The ingredients in te bibimbap were excellent! Their gochujang is very tasty and has a nice spice to it. We also got their dumplings, as they said they make them fresh there and they were really tasty! The sauce that came with them was great too! We decided to try this place based off of previous reviews. We almost turned away because the restaurant was looking so rundown there were sheets covering their booth seats. As we were about to leave a woman said that we were going to love the food, so we stayed. for appetizers we chose Korean fried chicken wings fried squid legs and gyoza all of which though they looked delicious was bland. For our entrees my mom chose chicken Yakisoba and I had the Bulgogi. To be honest the bulgogi was the best thing I had. It saved the meal. My friends never had gimbap (rice roll) so decided to find a place that served them. I came across this gem place, saw the reviews and decided to bring everyone here. This is a family restaurant and let me say the food was authentic, fresh and delicious. For someone from NYC who had access to high quality Korean food, I was impressed by the food we were served today. The staff were all attentive and helpful. They always check in to see how we were doing. The decor is simple and not very decorative. Don't let that stop you from eating here, everything is well prepared. From the banchan (small dishes) to the beef rice rolls to seafood pancake, everything was done well. There were other dishes we know we need to go back to try. I highly recommend this place. I was looking forward to eating here because I used to come here years ago and really enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, the quality has gone way down. I order the beef bulogi japchae and a barley tea. The beef bulogi japchae was greasy and tasted only of soy sauce. The beef was not thinly sliced and the pieces were measly and tasted only of soy sauce. There was no sesame seeds in the dish. There was some carrots, spinach and green onion. There was a lot of greasy yam noodle. The waiter did not bring the side dishes out until the main dish. And there were only four side dishes and none were good enough to finish. Kimchi, old looking bean sprouts and, pickled cucumber with chili, pickled vegetable.l Disappointing. They used to give many more side dishes and better quality. Also they did not give me any rice. Usually that comes with the meal and with all the greasy noodle I wish they had brought rice. Barley tea is usually complimentary at Korean restaurants. Here it is 3 dollars. Ambiance is uninviting and shows that the restaurant owners could care less about the dining space. The restaurant really needs updating. It is depressing. I regretted coming here and spending 26.45 for this lunch. I didn't even bother taking the leftovers with me. read more

I'm so glad that we have places like this in Stafford. In a sea of chain restaurants, it's great to have an independent establishment that offers great food. There are plenty of things on the menu but I can't get past the beef Bulgogi. It's so good. The portion is plentiful, so plentiful that I always take home leftovers. The Bulgogi is cooked with cabbage, carrots, broccoli, and onion, and is accompanied by rice and endless sides of whatever the chef has prepared: there is always kimchi and marinated, slightly spicy cucumbers, and usually bean sprouts, marinated radish, and one or two other items. We forego the kimchi as we don't care for it and always ask for extra cucumbers. The service can be a little bit slow due to one person waiting on tables and taking care of phone-in and takeout orders, but the food makes up for that. read more

I could tell our server was overwhelmed by our large group, especially since most people were ordering dishes individually. As someone who always wants to try everything, I made sure to order a whole bunch of dishes to share: budae jigae, bulgogi, galbi, and spicy pork. Every dish tasted amazing! If a restaurant wont invest the time and effort into keeping the front of the house that people see clean, the back of the house worries me. You don't even need amazing seasoning to make this dish good, you just need salt. The other thing that needs salt, was their korean fried chicken. It was tasteless . If bland had a pic, this would be it. The skin was crispy, it wasn't over cooked , it's just tasteless . Their pork belly. This was supposed to be my favorite protein. But they just did it in a way that I took it home cause I want to fix it. It was too oily, that it was pork belly, with greasy soup basically. Now if you want to wonder why I didn't take the fried rice home to redo it, it wasn't salvageable. Would I return to this place? No. Their service was subpar. I asked for boxes, they told me that they will only give me boxes if I am completely done. Why is it hard to give me boxes? I was literally the only one there. The price, the service, the food. Was hankering for some Korean food out here near Quantico. Found two in close proximity thanks to Yelpers out there. I ordered the dol sot bi him bap. They give you the option of meat to have with it. I chose the spicy pork. Overall the dish was good. Rice was super hot and sizzling in the bowl. Appreciate the whole bottle of go chu jang so that I could spice up the dish as much as I wanted. The ban chan assortment was just ok. Regular kimchee was a bit vinegary. I normally like mine fresh and crispy but kimchee is supposed to be fermented for a while. The cucumber kimchee was good. They also provided pickled radish and some seaweed. read more
