    Small Montclair Chicken Salad

I always enjoy coming here! Their Montclair Chicken Salad has been a favorite of mine for over 25 years! The flavor of the marinated, grilled chicken is incredible and that salad dressing is outstanding! Their tzatziki is some of the best ever! Peggy has consistently been my server for the many many years I've been coming here, she's an institution within PWC and very nice! Can't wait to return!!

Absolutely a amazing time this was within the area to get a quick bite. we stop here after we celebrate the life of our love one They were very helpful of making our group comfortable and making us feel welcome. Starters they have anything you can think of when it comes to there menu options for everyone no limitations we were quite surprised that they had so many options and there price ranges and I tried their salmon crispy bacon burrito. Very tasty bite the server was awesome with keeping us in good spirits during this time and lighting our mood we will definitely recommend this place if you want breakfast lunch or dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are a small business owned and they do bring the family vibe where it feels like classic diner with such a broad range of menu options for everyone and the portion are good size portion if you want to share or just really hungry and want a fulfilling meal this is the spot[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and we will back when we are back in town for family gathering

This is one of my favorite restaurants, but I don't know what happened today. The service was bad; I was waiting for my food for over an hour, and all the waiter told me was that he didn't know what happened to it. I would come back, but I hope to have a better experience next time.

    Waffle, eggs, bacon and potatoes

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Place was very busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered our food with no issues. Food took a long time for us to get our food. Once we got our food, my potatoes and waffle was cold. We wanted for awhile and never saw our waitress so we told one of the young gentlemen that our food was cold. Instead of giving us a new plate of food, off to the microwave our food went. So of course the waffle was no good after the microwave. My wife had the French toast and the one slice she got was cold along with the potatoes. It tells me that I was sitting foe a while explaining the long wait. Very pricey for breakfast! A cup of orange juice was $5 and each one of our meals were $18. One slice of French toast, two eggs, meat and potatoes. Positive side they did give us 10% off of our meal.

So I know about this place but never went inside. About 7 years a go, at my job, we used to order lunch from them a lot and we loved their food. So this day was my dad's birthday and I was only going to be around in the morning and I had another breakfast place in mind but I remembered Montclair family restaurant and how I never tried breakfast food there before. I am glad we went there because my vegan father, the birthday man, he loved it. He said this is the freshest breakfast he's ever had at a restaurant. My mom loved her food too, she cannot stop talking about how good the food was. I loved my food too. We got the French toast sandwich, the breakfast sampler and some type of vegetarian omelet. They loved the breakfast potatoes. I couldn't eat mine because I forgot to ask if they put onions in the potatoes, I seen onions in there, I don't eat them. It was so many other things on the menu I wanted to try. We got the strawberry lemonade, I like that it wasn't overly sweet. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a small restaurant, nice ambiance, very clean and cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff there are polite. The food tasted fresh and portions are huge. We ended up taking food home. We don't eat pork and it was nice they were able to substitute for us. I recommend and we will be back.

    Scrapple and eggs breakfast

This is my second review. Unfortunately they have increased their prices to what I consider unreasonably high. $16 for 4 cups of coffee $4 for a side order of bacon. $99 for 4 to dine on pancakes and eggs just seems ridiculous. The delay in getting our food spanned 45 minutes. They used to be much quicker and cheaper. I guess we're back to WOKE Cracker Barrel where $65 still gets 4 hungry folks a decent breakfast. By the way the scrapple and eggs pictured are now $15 dollars. I can buy a dozen eggs two potatoes and a brick of scrapple for $6.00.

Dawg, this place is mid. The food took about 40 minutes, and there was a metal clip-looking thing in my drink. They did replace it, but overall the experience wasn't it.

    Fajitas

This place is amazing every time all the time. Wednesday is fajita night and boy do you get your money's worth I've gone the last two Wednesdays and I'm never disappointed!! Highly recommend. Best restaurant in Dumfries

    No.

Is the gyro meat made on a flat top or on the vertical broiler?

Enjoyed a great meal with our party of 7 tonight , Saturday night!…read more We ordered a bunch of appetizers: halloumi, greek salad, zucchini, dips, saganaki, and entrees and desserts as well. Sorry I don't have photos of everything. The food, service and ambiance were all excellent. I loved the open and airy feel of the restaurant with the big windows and great sunlight. This is the 2nd location I have been to and so far this one is my favorite. Parking is a little wonky as the town gets pretty busy during prime dining hours. You can find street parking if you're patient. All in all, I wish I lived closer so I could enjoy this super-delicious and authentic, greek food all the time.

That said, on to my experience. First, the outside drew me right in - evil eye - yes! The inside was very clean (including restroom) and had a modern Mediterranean feel to it. We were greeted immediately and asked our preference for inside or out. I chose inside bc the outside was quite full. Our waiter came right over with water. It took a minute for him to come back, but I wasn't in a hurry and they were very busy. We chose to order multiple apps (instead of dinner entrees) to get a taste of many things. I am not going to remember or spell the names of the dishes correctly so forgive me; I'm going to just describe what we ordered. The meatballs - delicious, juicy, herbaceous The dip with fish row - this was salty, as it should be, but not too salty. The pita was perfection. I loved this. The halloumi cheese - wow! The best I've had. The beet salad - lots of diced up beets and the vinaigrette was very tasty. This salad was big! With a protein on it, it would definitely be a meal. The calamari - this was disappointing. It was cooked correctly, but really had no flavor, even after we squirted it with lemon and added salt. I did not love the lemon dip/sauce accompaniment. If you are going to try the calamari, I would suggest getting it on the side. Dessert - Capital Y, yum! The orange sponge cake, well, it was a little bit of heaven. It is a very wet cake and very orange forward, just fyi. The donuts with Nutella - if you like loukoumades and Nutella, you'll love it! I did. Finally, I had the Mythos lager. Not light like a Miller Lite, but definitely not heavy and hoppy like an IPA. I enjoyed it. My husband had the Greek coffee. He said it was fine, but not very full bodied. I've never had a Greek coffee, so I can't speak to that. I liked that they asked him if he wanted it: not sweet, mid, or sweet. Overall, if you like Greek food and you aren't in a rush - go here!

I've been to Galazio before and have generally had good experiences, which is why this visit was so…read moredisappointing. I came in specifically because I wanted fresh, brick oven-style pizza and did not want chain-style pizza. I ordered the Pandora pizza from the menu because it was advertised with pepperoni, tomato, and fresh mozzarella. That detail mattered to me. I intentionally chose that specialty pizza instead of building my own because fresh mozzarella has a very different taste and quality than the standard low-moisture shredded cheese used on many pizzas. When the pizza came out, it did not taste or look like fresh mozzarella was used. It tasted more like a frozen or chain pizza, which was exactly what I was trying to avoid. When I asked the waiter about it, I was told they did not have fresh mozzarella, even though the menu clearly advertised it. After going back and forth, the server brought out different cheeses, including what appeared to be fresh mozzarella, which only made the situation more confusing. They then remade the pizza with burrata, but it was not properly prepared. The burrata was just placed on top in cold/lukewarm globs and was not melted into the pizza. It was not appetizing and did not resolve the issue. The service got worse from there. After I raised the issue, the waiter stopped coming back to the table. The owner ended up bringing out the additional items I ordered, including dessert. When the bill came, they tried to charge me for both pizzas even though the first pizza was the result of their menu/service issue and was still sitting on the table. I had to push back to have it removed, and the response felt dismissive and unpleasant, as if I was wrong for speaking up. My issue is not that mistakes happen. My issue is that the menu advertised fresh mozzarella, the pizza did not reflect that, the replacement was poorly executed, and the service response made me feel like a problem instead of a returning customer with a valid concern. For pizza specifically, I would not recommend it. If the quality is going to taste like chain pizza, I may as well go to Papa John's, Pizza Hut, Ledo's, or Little Caesars and pay accordingly.

When I walked in, the host -- who was not very friendly -- asked how many were in my party. I said "1," and she immediately told me I would have to sit at the bar, even though there were several open tables. I politely asked if I could sit at one of the two-top tables, but she said no because they were for reservations. I explained that I preferred not to sit at the bar. Looking back, I probably should have left then, but I was hungry, so I stayed. Once seated, I asked for the crab dip, only to find out they no longer had it. I then ordered the lamb chops, which I had enjoyed during my previous two visits. This time, however, they came out extremely pink and undercooked. I was shocked. The waitress told me they "don't cook them well done," but offered to take them back and have them cooked a little longer. Unfortunately, when they returned, they were still pink/red and literally bleeding. The waitress then said she was going to get "Mama" from the back. I told her that wasn't necessary if the restaurant simply does not prepare lamb chops well done anymore. I was very disappointed and didn't realize things had changed over the last few months. Overall, the customer service was poor, and the food quality was nowhere near what I experienced during my previous visits. The pictures shown are from when she brought them back to me.

And actually, that FYI is one of my knocks, there's just less bang for your buck portion wise here. Everything is very flavorful and well done though. My Chicken Kouvetsi, while tasty seemed to have not that much chicken. Many bites were just orzo and tomato sauce. I needed more chicken. The bread is complimentary and very tasty; hilariously, after we asked for more, they just kept bringing our group 2 baskets. This review sounds very negative for 4 stars, but Zaytinya is niceand the food is tasty. Just know all the above going in. It's also very noisy,to the point where it was hard to hear everyone at our table and our server had a hard time hearing us. They probably need to update their soundproofing or just have fewer tables. That actually led to some confusion about the "for the table" lamb dish we ordered, which seemed to come out as sliced lamb, seasoned as described on the menu, on a plate. Frankly, for the price it didnt seem like enough for our group of 6. Also, there were 2-3 flies around our table before we sat down. They eventually left, but that probably should signal there's more mess there than just wiping down the table takes care of.
