I have had the sushi in the past, solid. But yesterday I tried the Chicken yaki with veggies and udon. I paid $17 (extra chicken, no problem) for what's pictured. First of all it was clearly microwaved because it was 15 minutes before I opened it and it melted my teeth. Also, where are the vegetables? Lastly about the chicken. The chicken that gave their life to be in this box must have had the saddest life imaginable. It was tough as shoe. I wouldn't go back if they offered to reimburse.

We came here based on the good reviews. We cannot agree with them. We were hesitant to stay for the restaurant menu & walls were filthy looking. The overall look at bit dated and dirty The rolls we had were good, we had eel rainbow roll & lady killer. We also had sashimi which had no flavor & tasted watery. The salmon roe tasted bitter, I had to spit it out. The staff was very nice & helpful. It is as only $50 for two people. We'd rather pay higher for better quality.

Cheap food, cheap quality. 5 veggie sushi is 3 veggies. Sushi was very mediocre. There were bugs crawling on the menu. Staff was nice.

If I could I'd give this place a 3.5 but I don't think it's right to drop a the three on Mori sushi. Ambiance - freaking awesome , I love the wooden accents inside and the space itself is just very welcoming. The sushi however was basic at best, the sushi rice didn't stand out and the fish and toppings themselves didn't wow me neither. It barely makes the mark as an enjoyable sushi experience but then again maybe it was an off night. 7/10 if we're including the wonderful dining area

Great spot for sushi! A wide variety of sushi options and other food items. Everything sounded so good and it was very hard to pick out rolls and decide. I ordered the Barbies roll and the Cherry blossom roll. Both were amazing! The service was also outstanding! Would definitely come back and highly recommend!

The sushi is so amazing here and everything is for a great price!! It's 10 minutes away from my apartment I am scared for my wallet. If you're trying to find a new sushi spot, ditch your other options and just come here. Fried rice was mid and could do with more seasonings though, sushi is the good stuff.

    Sashimi sushi lunch combo

Stopped here for a quick pick me up at 3pm on a weekday. We were the only patrons there, to my surprise they were still offering lunch specials! The paper menus seemed to be reused over and over. Utensils and plates are brought out with each menu item. My boyfriend and I decided to share a sushi combo since we were having dinner with my family pretty soon The combo came with 12 pieces of sashimi, a tuna roll, salad, and miso soup. ($11.95) The salad (ginger dressing) and soup were a-okay. The pieces of nigiri were fresh but sliced very thin, which was expected... The entire place smelled like cleaning solution. Which really took away from the whole experience. No masks here, but they did have an industrial size of Purcell hand sanitizer!

I was on my way to meet friends for an evening out and was keeping an eye out for a place to grab a quick bite one the way- If there's one thing I'm always going to go for it's sushi. Though I'd never been the name rang a bell somewhere in the depths of my Swiss cheese brain and I popped in. It was around 8 on a Saturday night and not busy at all, I had a seat at the sushi bar and grabbed a menu off the counter, then another..their menus (though laminated) are so beaten I legitimately had a difficult time reading them to order. The two people working-one making sushi the other waiting tables-were friendly enough but not attentive in the least. I will say the pricing here was giving 2016 vibes-significantly cheaper than my usual spots. The small portions also matched that pricing. I ordered the tempura veggies and shrimp and a Philly roll with fresh instead of smoked salmon. The batter on the tempura was great, the veggies tasted fresh and crisp. The ponzu sauce somehow lacked flavor, it was served with 3 shrimp, one piece of broccoli, 2 small slices of what I dread was pumpkin (keep reading I dare you) , and 2 thin single layers of onion slice. The fish in the sushi was decent quality and tasted fresh, but after I excused myself to the washroom I was immediately apprehensive -it was filthy...in a way that it hasn't been kept after in a LONG time. My concern grew but yolo I was already in it so ‍.. until I looked past the sushi chef into the kitchen and caught a glimpse of a pumpkin COVERED in mold...how long has that been sitting there?! Mold spores are airborne. I've waited for hours waiting for food poisoning to set in but fingers crossed I think I'm in the clear. The food was decent, but the sanitation standards are unacceptable. The general table seating area seemed well kempt but I would absolutely dread seeing the state of kitchen.

This place is my new favorite sushi spot! I ordered take out & they had it ready so quick. The sushi was so good, great prices, loved the krab ragoons, and the service was great! I'll definitely be back

No need to go into how many I had :) and it was not vodka but it was good! We started with the miso soup and ginger salad. Soup was delicious. The salad had a variety of greens and was a welcomed change from iceberg salads of many a Japanese restaurant . We then moved onto salmon sashimi. It was fresh and delicious. There were three generous pieces to the order. Then we had the hand rolls/tacos. Kelsey got them from "the other side" of the restaurant because they weren't in the lounge menu and I asked about them. They were small but shockingly filling. Loved them. I got the salmon ponzu and my friend got the spicy salmon. We both loved what we got. Then we got the scallop w/caviar. She asked about wanted nigiri versus sashimi and we opted for no rice. It was amazing. I highly recommend. Then we did the district roll and the dragon roll, both were great and different. I forgot to mention I am not a spicy fan and that the spicy could be in the side. Otherwise perfect. We ended with the Peking duck roll. Also delicious! But we were stuffed by this point. Marisol, the chef, was very creative in her presentation. Every dish was a work of art. The ceviche was phenomenal and had great presentation; we also opted for the hamachi carpaccio both toasted and raw. The toasted was a bit under flavored and felt like it was missing something (not their fault we asked for it toasted). We also had the carnitas bao buns which were a delightful treat. The salmon lover roll was absolutely delicious as well had a nice fruity flavor along with it. And lastly, we originally came for the hand rolls (which are no longer on the menu) but they made an exception for us and they were phenomenal. Overall, would come back only 4 stars because everything began coming out at the same time and didn't have a pace to it.. cozy fun vibe! PS.. Our waiter Gabriel was only his second day and he was absolutely amazing and knowledgeable!

It makes a huge difference. A quick heads up though, this level of quality takes time. If you are in a rush, this might not be your spot.
