I actually really like this location. It has more amenities than most EOS fitness locations in the area! They even had section off places that were dark with neon lighting, where you could work out. However, what keeps this from five stars is the lack of friendliness from the workers and how dull or bland the place seemed. Although I was greeted when I came in, when I requested help in other areas, the workers didn't seem as open to help. There were also some equipment that were out of order, making me wait. However, I know EōS is really quick on getting their equipment fixed. read more

I came in Feb. 18th just the other day interested in purchasing a membership; I asked for any promotional offers available. Fortunately, I was informed that there was offers available. In a rush, I had accepted assuming I can lower the start-up fee. It turned out to include a bundle making me pay $450 total for a trainer program. I came back the next day, an hour earlier, to fix my mistake. While addressing the cancellation, they were seemingly upset that I wanted to cancel. I informed them that I didn't want to be trained, and I wanted to cancel the contract which is within my right in a 3-day window. Instead of them convincing me to stay contracted with a trainer, they challenged my ideas and became agitated. They told me, "You shouldn't sign up for something you don't want." Which I completely understand, that's why I'm back the next day to fix my mistake. They tried to argue about having a trainer because I want to workout with my friend instead of following a coach's regimen, which made it clear that choosing to work out with a friend instead of following a trainer's program was not well-received. If you want a gym that has employees that are respectful to the customer's wishes, I advise you to get a membership at a different EōS as this isn't the first. Water Fit is fantastic, love it. However I signed up for a PT and saw him twice. There was a shake up in the gym and personnel changes. I was able to my new trainer once. Worst customer service experience ever! I came to inquire about canceling my membership due to a bad general experience. I asked the front desk rep to please point out in the contract the cancellation policy as I explained to her I was informed there is a $54 cancellation fee. Her response was I don't know where it is in the contract, you can read it. I once again kindly asked her to pony me to the policy. Her answer, I don't know you sign it, you have it, you can read it. I asked her to stop being rude. She laughed and threw the own she was holding again the counter. I asked her, can you be any more rude? She said yes, probably and pushed a folder and walked away into the office and Locked the door. I have never experienced this type of ride service. Worst thing, it's an acceptable culture. EOS kept charging me after my personal trainer quit in June and they never reassigned anyone despite multiple attempts to contact them before suffering a back injury. They billed me in July, August, and even September 26 -- after confirming my cancellation. I provided medical documentation, followed their policies, and still got the runaround and bogus 30-day rules that violate their own contract. I have filed complaints with Better Business Bureau, Texas Attorney General's Office, and my credit card company. You should not have to hire an attorney to ensure you get the services you paid for and ensure they honor their own cancellation policies. This company takes your money without providing services and hides behind fine print. Terrible customer service, deceptive billing, and zero accountability. Stay VERY, VERY far away. read more

Multiple people are on FaceTime in the lady lock room everytime I went. There is no place to change safety. I canceled my membership after one week. They are changing me for another month membership and next year's membership annual fee. It was incredible hard to talk to someone in billing. The person was not helpful. So I am paying an extra $90 to cancel my month to month membership. They are also incredibly pushy to lock you into personal training. I love coming to this gym, it's very spacious so even when it's busy it doesn't feel like there's a lot of people there. The only reason it would feel packed is because the parking lot sometimes is a little ridiculous and every machine being taken.. however this is only during peak times. I've never had to park by chikfila, that's a plus. Everything is pretty clean here, the classes are great. I've taken one in the AM and one in the PM. PM classes are a lot more full typically. Miscommunication among the staff is bound to happen since it seems like a lot of people work there. I had a very frustrating encounter with the area because my stuff was stolen out of my locker... I didn't put a lock on and that was my fault that day, but the way the staff handled it was very frustrating but it didn't make me want to quit the place... so just make sure you put a lock on your locker! read more

It is a nice gym. I signed up before the gym opened. It would be better if you were actually able to find a parking spot. When you are able to find a parking spot you can't get a good workout in because all of the equipment is in use. It doesn't matter what time of day you go, this gym is always packed. Recently, I have been seeing these group of guys bringing their very large pit bulls into the gym while they workout. The dogs just lay their whole the guys workout. Person training contract is impossible to cancel. I have been charged $88.00 every two weeks x six. During this time I called texted and followed every phone prompt with no help. I went to one session where a teenager put me through a workout too difficult for a 72 year old. It took me days to recover. I cancelled my appointments and went to my Dr. who referred me to real PT a physical therapy not the EOS version of PT incompetent personal trainers. So canceled appointments is not canceled billing which will go on until the end of time. These people are knowingly making it impossible to cancel and putting people through long phone waiting calls with no results. I finally just canceled the credit card. This makes me so angry, I worked 50 years as a pediatric nurse finally retired and now volunteer my time in the community. These crooks put ignorant teenagers on the phone and in charge of training because they don't have to pay them a living wage. I know the company will not do the right thing but if you are considering joining this gym or frankly any gym chain don't do it. They will take your money and give you bad advice. I waited for this location to open primarily because of water aerobics. Once it did open, I was told water aerobics will be coming soon, so I'll wait patiently. What is started I was told that I had to pay an additional fee. On top of the monthly fee that I am already paying. Then when I went several times for the Jacuzzi, it would be half full.. Ridiculous. I have since started driving to the other gym across town all the classes are included. I don't understand why I would be charged extra at one gym and other gyms the all classes are included. My son is in the Army and on August 2nd he went in person to cancel his membership at the Fort Worth Alta Mesa location and they said they cancelled it. Then I saw a charge on my credit card a few weeks later and called them. They said the account was still active but they would cancel it and refund me. Then a month later I see another charge and called them a third time and they said the account was still active but they would cancel it and send me an email. They never did. This is a scam. *BEWARE OF PERSONAL TRAINING CONTRACT* I want to preface and say the staff is good but the management/ corporate is completely shady. February 22,2024 I signed to do personal training for 4 months. A few weeks later I go in for a progress check and am then told my contract was defunded for an unknown reason. The same day, March 28,2024, I am told to sign the contract again so I can get back on track to do PT. I was NOT made aware that this was a completely NEW 4 month contract. Only reason I was aware was because I received a copy of the new contract and read it. I read through the terms and saw the cancellation policy "MAY CANCEL THIS CONTRACT AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO MIDNIGHT OF THE THIRD BUSINESS DAY AFTER THE DATE ON WHICH THE CONTRACT IS EXECUTED". An option to cancel was to email MEMBERSERVICES@EOSFITNESS.COM. I did April 2nd, and then received a response that said they could not cancel through the email that was provided in the contract. I then went in person, April 9th, with copies of the emails and a written letter to cancel. I was informed by the Fitness Manager it would take 3-5 business days for the request to process through. Again, I never received a copy of the cancellation form through email. I was then charged April 11th for PT but thought I would be refunded since it had not been the 5 days. Again, charged April 25th. I then called April 25th to meet the manager the next day. They informed me he would be in 8am -7pm. I arrived at 6pm and was informed he would not be back till Monday. Monday, April 29th, I called again and spoke to the manager on the phone to which he said my request to cancel did not go through and that he had just seen it in his queue. 16 days later. I informed him I was not made aware of this and have been charged twice now and have not been doing personal training. TODAY: I went in and talked with the manager. Apparently, the "MAY CANCEL THIS CONTRACT AT ANY TIME PRIOR TO MIDNIGHT OF THE THIRD BUSINESS DAY AFTER THE DATE ON WHICH THE CONTRACT IS EXECUTED". DOES NOT mean three days AFTER you sign the contract. The manager showed me an email from corporate saying that "the day the contract is signed is considered day 1." for the 3 business day count down. I finally got the motivation to get to the gym, and everything is constantly broken down. I have particular injuries for which the only reason I have a membership at this gym is because they have a pool. Three times out of five visits. The pool is broken down, they can't give me a definite answer as to why it's broken down or when it will be fixed. All I know is that pool is the only reason I have a membership here so that my foot and back injury don't hurt anymore. I will be canceling my membership if starting next week. This is my response to the EOS Fitness center I went there wanting to enroll for health reasons and I encountered this. This is my response to their survey: I received an offer to try your gym for two weeks. I went into the Altamesa location and your representatives could not have cared less. It was obvious that the bottom line is how many YOUNG people you enlist. I took my daughter with me and they said they needed her information so she gave it to them not expecting to be harassed by the sales person and even the manager afterwards- she never was going to sign up for a membership. I am the person that was going to pay for both our memberships but your agist, racist sales person couldn't see past my appearance. I told them I couldn't start until the following week and they said I could not have but one free week and it HAD to start that day trying to force me to sign on. We left with a terrible impression and with the stench of urine of your facility. After this, my daughter has received many daily emails and texts from your sales team. My daughter is Neuro diverse and feels harassed by your insisting she has "used up" some of her days and that she needs to come in to talk to you. You need to stop emailing and texting her. I have tried to call Daniel the manager but have received no response. You must do a better job at training people on discrimination on the bases of age and diversity inclusion and maintaining a cleaner gym read more

Once you give the 30-day notice to cancel, apparently, according to the rude manager, it goes into month-to-month and they keep charging your credit card. Absolute waist of time. They were not able to get me a membership because I didn't have a local id. I explained I was military and just got here a couple months ago. It's crazy because the EŌS in California was able to get me a membership WITH my Texas ID but not here IN TEXAS. Other gyms like LA have no problem with this. Not a true 24/7 gym. Expected to workout Thanksgiving evening since it was a "24/7" gym but was surprisingly disappointed.

I'm really shocked at the low reviews but let me set the record straight about the actual facility itself as someone who works out every day. I haven't been to a better gym besides maybe LifeTime and EOS is a fraction of the cost. They could charge double and I would still be a member. The equipment is new and there are tons of different machines you don't typically see in corporate gyms. The back room is dark with neon lights and perfect for recording yourself or just lifting in a more vibey spot. There's a whole section for powerlifting with plenty of racks, a whole wall of dumbbells, turf sections for more functional workouts, tons of cardio equipment with stair masters and even a Jacob's ladder, pool, hot tub, gender specific saunas and even a cardio cinema room. They have massage chairs with a whole recovery section and cryo therapy coming soon. I look forward coming to the gym every single day and I'm happy to call this place my gym home! read more
