I discovered the hard way that the builder placed a water supply line closer to my inside drywall than the outer wall yesterday while hanging a picture. Yes, water pissing out all over my guest bedroom. We turned off the water to the house immediately & hubby went to Lowe's where we were told to call E & G Plumbing & Drain. I had a small ADU that needed tankless water heaters to be installed and finish tying in the supply lines. Most of the lines were already in place from what the last plumber did not complete. The job should have been simple as all walls are exposed down to the studs. They kept on making one mistake after the next cutting and then recoupling the pipes everywhere. Seems as if they didnt have enough experience at new construction plumbing and are more keen on drain cleaning. The water heaters are high end Naviens and they just did a total hack job. They put holes everywhere and the gas lines are not even plumb or level. Treated these guys like family and even gave them all 5500.00 of their asking price for them to never return. Will be informing State board, BBB and if possible court action if not remedied by way of refund. read more

Roger came to our door, handed me a package said he was surprised that no one rang our door bell. He also said that they should not be left here cuz they would be gone. And he said for me to open up the garage door. He First Never said Hi I'm so and so from the company's name. If I was not waiting for someone so show up here today, I would have chewed he out and never open the garage door for him and also I would let the cops know what's going on and how he looked like. Someone in the company need to have a good talking to him. Also when I handed him my credit card for the service call. Today I was in need of a plumber once again, so I called E & G Plumbing and again they sent Roger. Three years ago I was in need of a plumber and called E & G Plumbing in Hemet CA. They sent out a guy name Roger, who is very knowledgeable and a very hard worker. After Roger was done fixing the problem, he handed me the bill and I looked at it and said: Is that all it is? Roger joked and said if I wanted him to, he could charge me more. Lol The cost to unclog my Kitchen and Laundry room drain was done at such a great price, I was a very happy guy and would recommend E & G Plumbing as the place to call when you have a plumbing problem. I had a leak from my shower going underneath my manufacture home. I read reviews on E & G plumbing and decided to call. Eric contacted me within a half hour and I told him about the leak. I told him it wasn't an emergency but I didn't want the pipe to erode from the leak. He came the next day and fixed my problem. This job was not easy since the space underneath the house is small. The first time they said they didn't have it on the books, the second time, no explanation was given. When they did show, they were over an hour late. Friday(5/8/15) E & G Plumbing was sent out by my home warranty company to deal with issues in both my bathrooms. In the guest bathroom, the plumber promptly fixed the issue. However, in the master bath, the plumber managed to make a slow draining shower not drain at all. He told me that he had made the issue worse and that it would cost me probably about $200 additionally to fix the issue he created. He went under the house(it is raised above ground for easy pipe access) where he sawed open the drain pipe to see if he could fix it that way. He could not. He also had to leave at time and said he would return later that weekend to fix it at the inflated fee. I am now left with a sawed open drain and essentially a nonfunctional shower since when the water runs, it no still floods the bathroom. Sunday(5/10/15) He did not return that weekend. He left no other number than his office number(which was closed when I called) Monday(5/11/15) I called the office and explained the issue. The office manager said he would talk to his plumber and find out what happened and then return my call after lunch. 4:30pm came and I had not heard anything. I called them back only to have the phone rang until voicemail. I called again 15 minutes later, and the phone just rang with no voicemail. Tuesday(5/12/15) I called again and no answer. I then called the warranty company that had sent them out to complain about what had happened. The warranty company then calls them and they pick up. The warranty company tells me that they had a talk with the plumbers and that I should get a call during the day to schedule a service appointment. After hanging up with the warranty company, 2 minutes later I get a call from the plumbers(from the same number I called 3 times prior but no pick up) We set an appointment for Thursday morning to fix the issue. read more

So after getting a LARGE bill from CVWD I called them(CVWD) to check my meter, confirmed it was running with everything off. Called my home warranty company to search for a slab leak. They sent an order to E&G who contacted me promptly and professionally. Scheduling did not work out so I had an independent do the leak detection, which they found outside of the house, which is not covered by the warranty or insurance. the independent gave me a repair quote which was high and the cost of detection would not be applied. I made contact again with E&G and Robert said would send someone out to bid. A professional tech named Roger did just that. We scheduled a repair date, and repair was done within a few hours. Needing the services of a plumber can be an aggravating experience. Trust me, if you need a great one, call E & G. They are competent, punctual, and professional. I am DIY savvy, and have remodeled a couple of homes. Unfortunately, sometimes when you have a plumbing or electrical problem, the issue is beyond your abilities. I just used E & G last weekend, and they were reasonably priced and extremely honest. I read the multi-post axe grind from Conan, and I would suggest that you disregard his rant. He obviously has a Home Warranty problem, and he doesn't seem to understand that the Home Warranty people and the actual technicians who do the work are two totally different entities. Finally, please know that I have no connection to E & G. In fact, I rarely rate a business, but I really felt like they deserved the recognition. I have often benefitted from accurate Yelp reviews, so I figure every once in a while I need to take the time and give something back to the site. read more

Waking up to find out you have no hot water is not fun! When I called E&G Plumbing I spoke to Eric. He actually answered the phone! I didn't have to leave a message that would never get returned. Speaking to Eric he was very courteous and had no problem with coming out to my place in the next half hour! When he came out, he determined my water heater needed replacement, it was over 12 years old. He said he could get parts etc., and do the job tomorrow. Very rude plumber. Had a go at my partner and I for not clearing out one of the rooms so he could switch something off. We told him we didn't know and he was very bothered by that. He left our bathroom a mess. Didn't tidy up after himself. Didn't explain what the problem was clearly. He should not leave his mess for us to tidy up. I'm not working with him, so I shouldn't have to be his cleaner. He raced off when finished. Opening our flat door to leave crushing our valuables that were near the door. Fast, HONEST and Kind. I was called by another plumber this morning and told my mom's house had a leak. The city had put an excess usage note on her door last night. The other plummer couldn't find it, so it would be $500 to get leak detection equipment. I was going to go for it until my husband said look at yelp. I'm so glad he did. The other company had a lot of red flags. Eric not only found the leak (toilets), but didn't need the detection equipment as he tried some 'common sense' tricks to find it first.(His words) A $500 bill just to find the problem became 1/4 of that with some patience for an older woman (she wouldn't answer the door). He was so kind to my 92 year old mom, who was too deaf to answer the door and too worried to give him any help. My wife and I used E&G Plumbing & Drain twice this week and were very pleased with them in every respect. Eric, the owner is an obviously very competent plumber and has good business practices such as answering his phone or at least calling back quickly if he cannot answer the phone. He is also honest and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately, there are way too many ripoff plumbers around but fortunately, Eric is not one of them. This past week we had new granite kitchen countertops installed, along with a new sink and faucet. The last part of the job was having Eric install the plumbing in the kitchen and actually was the one who installed the new faucet, along with new drains and drain basket under the sink, a new garbage disposal, and reconnecting the drain to our dishwasher to where we don't have to have that ugly device that sits near the faucet any longer. Yesterday we had him come back to actually complete the installation job of our new water heater that we had done by someone else seven months ago. They SHOULD have replaced the gas line and water lines to the water heater but didn't, even though they charged an excessive amount of money to do the job, so I had Eric complete this part of the job and I know he charged us a very reasonable price to do it. We were referred to E&G Plumbing & Drain by by C&C Carpets out of Hemet who did our kitchen countertop work, another company we are very pleased with whom I also gave a positive review. Finding out about Eric at E&G Plumbing & Drain was an ADDED benefit of using C&C Carpet for our kitchen countertops!
