They told me to contact the tech directly, tech responded ohhhh we don't do electrical. The plumber was really nice and prompt. The company had good communication concerning appointment time and availability. However, they charged 2600 to add a water line for a refrigerator that was 2 hours worth of work in an existing crawl space with a line readily available. They also wasted my time bring someone out who "inspected" my system just to of course recommend a complete repiping job. Tried to convince me to rip out copper piping to put in plastic PEX and misrepresented the benefits of PEX in our climate. Nice people but crazy overcharging is a dishonest money grab. The technician began using the wrong tools in a way that could have caused thousands of dollars in damage. I stopped the work immediately. The issue was an external nick on a 3" copper pipe, which I repaired myself with a MAP torch. They were pushing for a much larger job -- not entirely wrong, since Temecula's water is extremely hard and a conditioner isn't a bad idea -- but after this experience, I'll never use them again. I contacted Guardian Plumbers because there is a leak by the kitchen sink. Initially, they had a Wednesday open, but then stated someone could come out today between the hours of 1-5PM. At 3:36 PM, a courtesy text came out stating their technicians were behind, but I was still on the schedule and I could either keep or reschedule the appointment. I chose to keep the schedule because I was not working today. I was going to call the office for an update around 5:40, but believed it was good business practice for them to call me. I received a call and text at 5:51 PM from the technician, George. He said his ETA was 7PM. That was too late to have someone come. My husband and I get ready for the evening early, since we had to leave for work early the next morning. My husband and I assumed no one was coming after all, so he was already getting ready for bed. I told George no one had called me to give me an update and this was the first update I have received since the 3PM one. George was very apologetic and I even told him it wasn't his fault, and someone from the office should have at least either called me earlier to tell me someone would be coming much later in the night, or wouldn't be able to come today. I understand things happen, and if someone was honest with me and provided realistic expectations, I would have been fine with that. This experience really made me question even considering their services because what if they provided me with an arrival window, and I had to take time off work, only for them to not even show up within that window? That would have been PTO hours used for nothing. I'm glad I was at least not working today. I was really hoping Guardian Plumbers would come through, especially because of their great Yelp reviews. I give this company 2 stars because the woman who scheduled me today was friendly, and the technician George was sincere in his apology. read more

Very disappointed with the service provided. Was quoted a price per the advertised special ($99. main drain line opening). I approved. Technician found blockage in the line and said the toilet would have to be removed to get at it. Tech called me and said for another $50 or $55 dollars he could do that. I said yes do it. Well, after several hours of not getting the drain cleared (and never did) he was done. He wrote the invoice for over $400.00. Big surprise for me (not happy). He gave me another quote of over $3,000. telling me concrete had to be removed in the bathroom and pipes replaced. I said no. I Contacted an independent plumbing company. Made an appointment for the next day. The Technician arrived on time. Set his equipment in place (never had to go in the house) and cleared the drain in 30 minutes. Cost $300.00. Have not had a problem since. My advice when dealing with Guardian Plumbers is - BEWARE get everything in writing before they start any additional work. read more

Mike is my guardian angel. Guardian PLUMBERS not to be confused with G. Plumbing Long expensive exhausting story short: I had sewage leaking onto the front lawn. My Gardner couldn't figure out where it was coming from, so I called a plumber. The plumber came out and told me I needed to call an irrigation specialist. Irrigation specialist told me to call a plumber with leak detection. They came out, opened up a wall in my house and hours later told me, they couldn't find the leak, but that REPIPING the entire house would surely fix the problem. Well I wasn't having that so I had my septic tank serviced. The septic wasn't my first thought since it wasn't due and i was told something was broken somewhere between the house and the yard. Anyway, after a couple days, sewer water was back. Called another guy who told me my seepage pit was busted and had to be replaced. So, I got bids from a bunch of septic companies ranging from 18-40k. Called Guardian out on my very last bid. Thank God some of the other companies I called were flakey and lagged. Met two very nice gentlemen from Guardian plumbers who showed up on time, located the two septic tanks, and the seepage pit. And confirmed the pit was overflowing. Mike (the supervisor) showed up shortly thereafter to explain the issue and give me an estimate. He mentioned getting permits and even though it's more expensive, I like not breaking the law. Many of the other companies told me they would charge more for permits. One guy even told me to get them myself if I wanted them. I liked Mike and found Guardian Plumbers to be profesional efficient and on the up and up, so I agreed to hire. I put $5 k down for them to start the ball rolling then they proceeded to empty all three units. The inspector was scheduled for the following day. About an hour after completely emptying all the units, Mike came back to take photos of the completed work when he discovered my "solids" tank rapidly filling back up. He asked me if I had a water softener system and I did and BOO YAH!! Mike found the source of the flood. He actually refunded my down payment and saved me from spending 35+k. Who does that????? I actually started crying from relief. What a saint!!! I have found my plumber for life. I am so incredibly grateful and I've never had such great service anywhere in my entire 48 years on the planet. read more

My insurance company required I have a plumbing company do a leak detection. Guardian sawed two holes in my wall and said the leak could be coming from a drainpipe behind the cabinets. They charged me $500 for this inconclusive conclusion. Then they quoted me $2500 to remove the cabinet it "might" be behind and repair the drainpipe. That's the entire scope of work for $3000. This was the worst customer service I have ever had. I am a 75-year-old retired veteran. I do not know if the quote had anything to do with the fact that I am a senior citizen. As far as I am concerned, this was a misdiagnosis. The faucet is NOT a diverter, if the plumber would have taken the handle off and removed the stop tube (less than 5 minutes) he could have seen this. I did mention this when I saw the (ridiculously priced) quote for $587.66, but it did not seem to matter to the technician. I ended up doing the repair myself replacing the faucet cartridge which took less than 15 minutes. I was also given a quote for a Halo 5 whole home filtration system for $7,297.02, which I did not ask for or interested in. read more

**SCAM ALERT** I have a 2 year old tankless water heater from Rheem that wasn't giving us hot water anymore and giving us an error code 11. Jacob one of the supervisors said he would do a diagnostic on it for $617.04, but said Rheem is a super cheap water heater and recommends replacing the whole system for $7,152.27. He told us we have kids and we need hot water. Thanks I never thought of that lol. Anyways I called Rheem and they said it was the Igniter Coil and we were still under warranty and sent us a new Igniter Coil for free with express delivery. It took me longer to unscrew the panel than it did to change out the new igniter coil, took me 2 minutes tops. Works like new. read more

The supervisor came out and said the only way to fix the problem was to tear open the wall of the house to access the pipe. Quoted me $2600. Turns out it was simple. Took 10 mins and a cheap part. Absolutely disappointed with Guardian, and from looking at recent reviews I am not the only one. Had them come out to check for leaks due to a notification I got from the water company. The technician couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. We suspected the running toilet. Their interpretation was that there was a slab leak because you could hear water in the shower pipe in the upstairs bathroom. Their solution was that I needed to replace all the piping in my entire house for 30k and wanted me to sign a contract on my couch same day. I got two second opinions who stated it was the toilet and a very old shower cartridge along with a broken bath regulator. Both second opinions stated it was crazy to say it was a slab leak since it was an upstairs bathroom, if I had a continuous leak upstairs there would be a lake in my house. To top it off the tech commented on a pipe that was dented thats connected to the hose bib and water regulator in the front.. I asked him what would cause it and he said an inexperienced tech putting a wrench on it.. I said oh thats funny because Guardian re did all this pipe work!
