I previously left a 5-star review here. Then I got my first bank statement on my loan. Not at all what we had agreed to. Not at all what I had expected. After showing me the sale price of the car and collecting $2,000 as a down payment, Gilbert had me sign paperwork on my son's new car. When I logged in to my new account with my lender, the loan was for the full sale price of the car, plus the service package, and DMV fees. In addition, I was very specific about not wanting the loan to be on auto debit from my bank account two days before my regular payday, he missed that detail in the final paperwork. I feel like a fool for having trusted these guys. I hope they really needed the $2,000. Like, I hope someone's daughter got a life saving surgery or something, and that extra cash was the last bit that made it happen. I am distrustful and don't deal with used car dealers. Never bought from them, but I was passing by E&J and took a look at a Toyota Tundra. The price was good. A few weeks later I noticed an electrical problem with my truck. It was the kind of problem that takes time to see. Chris, Gilbert and Cari (owner) took care of me. Sent out a tow truck (I feel guilty for letting them do that since the truck was driveable). They also loaned me a car. Their mechanic--Eric--is a plane mechanic and a car mechanic. He's methodical, which is what you need with a tricky electrical problem. I doubted he would, but Eric fixed the problem first try. I recommend E & J Motors. Only place I will buy a car from. What can I say. Gilberto was absolutely lovely! He made the process even in the midst of COVID so easy and was super flexible with us as we'd come from out of town. This was my fourth vehicle purchase and hands down I would come back. There wasn't any haggling or pressure. I felt respected and they were understanding as I have a toddler who wanted to wander so we weren't able to sit while the paperwork was filled out. If I could give zero stars I would. We were lied to and misled. CLIFFORD manipulated my friend (and me) into thinking that she was getting a great deal on a safe car that she could drive for the FIVE YEARS she'll be making monthly payments on it. He was so nice to us through the whole process when she was buying the car. She was very clear and up front about the fact that she didn't have anyone to consult with about buying a car. He made us believe that we could trust him and put extra effort into painting this picture of a wonderful car for a good deal. He claimed that everything that needed to be fixed, had been fixed including an oil change which was a complete LIE. The EXACT DAY the one month warranty expired on the car, the check engine light comes on and "Clifford" can do nothing about it. She calls and is told "the warranty is up, it's on you" The windshield leaks water into the car everyday, the axel is on the verge of locking up completely, zero fluid changes whatsoever, major EVAP Leak that will cost nearly $1000 to fix. And he suddenly wants to "help" LOL. When she brought the extensive quote that she got from another mechanic for fixing the car, he manipulated her AGAIN by saying that "cars need maintainence" and "it's running isn't it????" This is an abhorant abuse of power and privilege that he recognizes and uses freely to manipulate someone in a vulnerable position. Shame on you Clifford and shame on E&J Motors. And also advised us that we still had a few more miles left on the tires and brakes. While some other shops wanted us to replace all of them. They were considerate to our budget concerns. Buyers beware: Dishonest sales tactics at E&J Motors. I test drove a 2008 Toyota Prius with E&J salesperson Gilbert Guerra. The car seemed good, except for two broken door actuators, which Gilbert assured me they would fix at no charge. I asked Gilbert if they would accept $8,500 for the car. Gilbert went next door to talk with manager Jamie Newman. Jamie entered the room to say he would accept $8,500. I immediately noted the two door actuators needed to be fixed (Jamie reluctantly said he would take that cost out of Gilbert's commission since he didn't mention it) and my mechanic needed to verify no major mechanical issues with the car. Jamie huffed and puffed and complained about my mechanic checking the car. (Why would he fear me paying my mechanic to check out the car?) Jamie left the room and I asked Gilbert if we still had a deal. He assured me we did. I clarified three separate times with Gilbert that if I took the car to my mechanic and no major mechanical problems were found, that we could then finalize the purchase for $8,500. He agreed and assured me that Jamie was "an honest man" and "a Christian man" who would honor the price to which he had agreed. So....I took the Prius to my mechanic immediately after they opened, paid $100 for a pre-purchase inspection, they found no major mechanical problems, and I immediately called Gilbert with the good news. Then the bait and switch. Gilbert talked with Jamie and reported that I would have to pay MORE than $8,500. I recounted our prior conversations and agreement, but they would no longer honor the accepted price. Since I don't spend money at dishonest businesses, I dropped the car back at E&J Motors. I would much rather pay my honest mechanic $100 more to inspect a second car from an honest seller, rather than pay a dime to E&J for their bait-and-switch tactics. Buyers beware. read more

I struggled to find a car in my price range for months until coming to E & J. They had a good selection & the prices were right! I negotiated a few in-house repairs & we worked things out so everyone is happy! How rare is that?? That is really the key here -- they won't stop until you are satisfied. So refreshing! I think if you go to a bigger dealership you'll pay several thousand more for the same car - and the only difference we found is better detailing. A top of the line dealership. I have never been to a dealership where I felt like I wasn't being scammed or given the run around before until I bought my first Jeep from E&J motors. Gilbert, was extremely friendly, helpful, and made the process quick and easy. A car dealership that had no hidden fees or agendas. He took care of me and even periodically touched bases with me after the fact to make sure everything was running smoothly. I have recommended E&J to all friends and family members asking about where they should look for their next used car. And when I was ready to upgrade Gilbert was my first call as well. I absolutely loved the Jeep I bought from them. I never thought I would say this about a car dealership but he proved to be extremely trustworthy and compassionate. Went up looking for a specific vehicle and the service was terrible. They were trying to sell the car 3k above market value. On top of that it was listed as a non spoker vehicle and it was filled with burn holes. I tried listing off some of the problems to negotiate price and he cut me off and said this isn't the car for you. Tires were completely bald, and the man said "I can't just replace the tires I can give you a good deal on some new ones though" purposely selling with bad tires to make more money when I have to buy tires. I'm surprised this place doesn't have any reviews. While nobody I know is exactly excited to shop for a car, and used car dealers don't have the best reputation, I vouch for E&J. Friends recommended E&J when i was shopping for a "new" car, and so I would upI trading in an old Saturn sedan once it cost too much to maintain and got a 1995 Honda Odyssey back in 2006. I put 100,000 additional miles on it and was repeatedly shocked by how well it survived what I did to it. When it finally gave up, I recently traded it in for a newer model. My salesman, Wayne, was more helpful than pushy, acted more like he worked in customer service than sales, and allowed me to have the van checked by my mechanic before I committed to purchase. It's only been a week since I took the newer van home, but so far everyone I know is shocked by how easy the transaction went and how great the van is for a used vehicle. read more

The staff is more than helpful and never gives you that creepy used car salesmen vibe. The owners are Christian family men with good morales and take great pride in their product. I used to work at a finance company that financed deals for E&J. Our customers were always pleased with the customer service and quality of the vehicle and in the event something ever did go wrong they were always there to help. I'm on my second vehicle from E&J and my husband just purchased his first from them. E&J is the type of dealership you continue purchasing vehicles from. If I could give negative stars I would. I was sold a lemon. It was a beautiful 2008 Subaru Outback Turbo, in great outer condition but with mechanical issues up the wazoo. The mechanic that replaced the engine after I took it in because of a rod knock discovered that the transmission and turbo had been recently replaced, which was not disclosed by the dealer, was not in the car fax, and was unfortunately not discovered in my pre-purchase inspection. Should've just bought a new car off the lot for what was shelled out to replace the engine. I wouldn't shop here, I had a fishy feeling when I bought it but I listened to the pre purchase inspection results instead and made a mistake. read more

Went there because I saw they had a few Subarus and that's exactly what I've been searching for. On one of their Subarus they had a penis scratched onto the paint. The dealer had come up to me and greeted me, I then told him that there was a penis scratched on the side to let him know, he then went on accusing me of scratching the penis figure onto his car, and then threatened to key a penis into my car. I've had bad experiences with car lots before. But I got the worst screw job here. Long story short, spend almost 17k on a truck and have had nothing but problems. And now it needs major engine work. The only advise I got was to not buy a 10 year old vehicle. I havent heard a word from the owner, who is quick to reply to others with a note of thanks, but not one word for a customer that has a legitimate complaint. I bought a mini van from E and J motors 3 weeks ago. The salesman who helped me called me yesterday to tell me they have an extra key for my van and also says I owe them $200 but adds he will show all the receipts to prove it when I come to get the key. I show up the next day to get my key and figure this out. The salesman hands me the key than asks to photo copy my debit card. I ask to see some documentation to prove I owe them $200. The salesman tells this long elaborate story on why I should just trust him. I ask again for the receipts to prove it, this is when the salesman attitude changed. He demanded I give him the key back and he'll charge me for it. I laugh and decline his demand and the salesman raises his voice now calling me an asshole and he'll send me to collections. At this point I walk out and get into my van and the salesman follows me outside yelling at me, knocks on my window still yelling. His behavior was completely inappropriate and shouldn't be tolerated. What kind of business tells a customer to trust they owe money without any documentation? Not an honest one. I originally had a good experience buying a van for my famliy with the same salesman. I was shocked and appalled by his behavior. I will not be going back to E and J Motors and won't recommend it any body as long as that salesman is employed there. Please beware of their dishonest behavior. I will add that I have reviewed all the documents and receipts they gave me when I bought my van and I am confinement that I paid them in full. I don't owe them any money, this felt like a scam and the fact this salesman might have access to my personal information worries me. Beware. read more

I was in a few years ago had a great experience with Chris drop on my jeep I had a problem with the window a couple years later and I reached out to him and he got me in contact with a good mechanic. I recently paid off my jeep and I was ready to get a new upgrade. I contacted my bank I knew how much I was approved for. I checked out online and they had the car that I've been looking for a Ford explore had all the features that I've been looking for. I worked with Chris again, I was able to go in the next day test drive it and fell in love. They knew the sunroof didn't work we scheduled a plan to get it fixed, they gave me a loaner car and it was fixed very quick next day! This will be a place I go back when I'm ready to get my next car. Each experience has been great. Even all the interaction with other staff they've all been so kind. I had to bring my 5 yo in with me and they were all so nice and friendly with him. Most car dealerships/salesman have a bad reputation but not this dealership not these guys. read more
